D&G Avis 8

I have, today, 31/01/2025, received a visit from an engineer. The build up to the visit was, I consider, an extra large barrage of reminders, information etc., that led me to have bad thoughts. However, the engineer called and introduced himself as Carlos and set about the remedial works, His knowledge and understanding was far superior to what I was expecting. He was polite and respectful and was definitely an asset to the company and has left me feeling so content. Thank you to all involved.

Late update but it got sorted in the end with a new free fridge freezer. Issue with the size comparison on their website since the dimension they show were smaller then the one i had, but on arrival it was much bigger and would not fit through our front door, and the delivery people would do nothing about it, so i had to take off the doors of the fridge, un-conecting pipework etc and my front door, so a bit of a nightmare overall.

Hisense American Fridge Freezer - Ref: 1540957547

Fridge freezer (F/F) stopped being cold Friday 2nd August - So contacted D&G by website and booked an engineer to come out, earliest was Sunday 4th August, which was quick.
Engineer said it was something with the pump/gasses and so needed a part.
The D&G website shows no details of when we will get the F/F fixed, and we had one text message after 10 days saying the F/F needed a part which is out of stock. (Yep we new that from day one).
So two weeks with no F/F and 12 days with no real updates from D&G.
I have looked online to buy a new pump and everything else for this make of F/F and everything is available, with most doing 24hr delivery. So total nonsense from D&G.
Not sure if they know, that in this modern era, we need to have a fridge and freezer (Family of 4), especially with this very hot weather we have had.
We have been looking to buy a second hand one all week, but nothing local. Perhaps D&G would like to buy us a new one - Nope won't hold my breath.
Lucky for me my insurance with them ends next month, so unlikely to renew. Definitely will not if i have to buy a F/F, whilst i am waiting for them to pull their fingers out.

Forgot to mention calling anyone is a waste of time unless you have an hour to wait on the phone for no one to answer and the live chat just as bad, started with Mr Robot - who could not answer my question, passed to Gerson who only deals with Hoover etc - so passed me to Adam who did not speak.

Had a couple of issues after some work done. Michael was very helpful for 1 the issues and after 3 trips the work was completed satisfactory. However I have been left with an oil leak after a service. It was returned to the garage and was told it was fixed, but it still has an oil leak.

Amazing working. Great relationship between business and consumer. Work never exceeds due dates.
