Kind and sympsthetic service.
The decision to free Bullet, our 15 year old Patterdale, from his decline, was the hardest ordeal.
Paula from Dignipets came to our home and made his journey a painless, peaceful one.

At home end of life care
Alex came out to our home to put our beautiful dog Milly to sleep. We cant Thank Alex enough for making the whole experience as comfortable & with such sensitivity, utmost respect & empathy towards both our dog and us as a family . He took his time, and was really professional & empathic. It was a better experience than any vets . He was reassuring & even the added touch of placing a rose on top once she was respectfully wrapped up & placed in a bed . She was certainly treated with dignity & comfortably within her own home . We can’t thank Alex enough, he definitely showed so much passion in his job , and all respect to him in what he does and how he helps the animal & the family . We would give him 10/10 and recommend Dignipets to any pet owner that needs to make the heartbreaking decision of putting their beloved animal to sleep. It honestly was like how a human is treated at end of life through at a hospice . Definitely as the family at the heart & forefront of what they do . RIP our beautiful Milly x

I had to make the heartbreaking…
I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say good night to my beautiful cat Frankie, over a couple of days I was in contact with reception staff and a veterinary nurse with regards my hard decision they were absolutely wonderful and listened to me and gave me comfort. Paula the vet who came out was absolutely wonderful she sat and talked to me about Frankie and made me feel supported she explained very step to me and didnt rush, she made sure I was also ok through the process. She was kind and gentle and gave me time to say good bye once he closed his eyes, she was always respectful to him and treated him with the utmost care even wrapping him in his blanket to make him comfortable for his final journey. I cannot praise Dignipets enough they certainly comforted us both and my cat was able to be at home in his familiar surroundings warm, comfortable and peaceful.

Alex was a very caring professional
Alex was a very caring professional, he showed empathy and explained every step. We were not rushed and the procedure went at our pace. Our little dog was very nervous at the vets, and so was more relaxed at home. We will miss her terribly she was a best friend to us all, but Alex supported us at this sad time ensuring Holly was cared about

Choosing to say goodbye to our beloved…
Choosing to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Marley, was the most devastating decision we have ever faced. However, we are eternally grateful that we chose Dignipets, and thankful Alex was here to guide us through this moment
We chose the at home service because we wanted Marley to be comfortable in his bed and warm by the fire, surrounded by those who love him.
Alex was exceptional. He arrived with a deeply calm and reassuring presence, immediately putting us and Marley at ease. He was respectful of our space and took the time to explain every step clearly, ensuring we felt fully prepared.
The process itself was simply beautiful and peaceful. We were given plenty of time with Marley before, during, and after the procedure. There was absolutely no rushing, which allowed us to focus completely on showering him with love in his final moments. It was truly a peaceful journey for our sweet boy.
The dignity and care shown during the aftercare were incredibly touching. Alex carefully placed Marley on a soft bed with his favourite blanket and toy and added a beautiful white rose on top of him, a compassionate detail that ment the world to us.
Our other dog was present as we wished for him to also get to say goodbye, Alex was very mindful of him attentive and kind and even asked if he was able to fuss him.
We are also grateful to receive a card from Alex a few days later expressing his sympathy. This was very thoughtful, thankyou.
Thankyou Alex and Dignipets for honouring Marley and making the most painful day of our lives as gentle and loving as it could possibly be.
We highly recommend this compassionate service to any family facing this heartbreaking farewell and will use them again ourselves in the future.

I can only praise the exceptional level of service provided by Alex.
In one of our darkest hours, he showed genuine compassion, empathy, and sympathy, guiding us through every step of the process with patience and clarity. He took the time to explain each stage of what would be done for our little boy, HARRY, ensuring we understood and felt supported throughout.
The care he provided was far more dignified than simply taking HARRY to our local vet. Alex went above and beyond—he even asked for some of Harry’s favourite toys so they could accompany him on his final journey. The moment he gently placed a white rose on Harry was both heartbreaking and profoundly touching.

Appalling Service.
We thought we would use Dignitpets to put our poorly dog to sleep. We made the decision and called at 9am.
We were told that some vet (one of 3 possible) would call sometime between 12:00 and 20:00.
No estimate was given, just that a Vet would call "when we are next".
It was agonising, sitting with our terminally ill pet, waiting for a call. Bad enough when waiting for a delivery, (even DPD can give you an estimate and updates) but for the end of life of a beloved pet this is totally appalling service.
We couldn't wait any longer and cancelled at 4pm and visited a local vet for a very dignified end-of-life for our girl.
Avoid.

Heartbreaking. I used Dignipets in the hope that my…
I used Dignipets in the hope that my soul mate could pass away calm, happy and at home. They were kind, friendly and approachable. The whole process was better than I could have imagined. The vet,Giorgio arrived on time and waited for my dog to approach and befriend him in his own time. My dog passed quiet and happy on his quilt and blanket. It was the best send off for a truly amazing dog. If there is such a thing, it was a good death and I know who I would choose in the future.

Amazing
We had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl today. We did not get much help from our usual vet so we called Dignipets. Alex from Dignipets was absolutely amazing. At such a distressing time, Alex made the experience so much easier to handle. He explained everything to us beforehand and our baby went so peacefully and calm it left us feeling she had the best care right to her final moments. Can't thank him enough. I could not have asked for better care…
I could not have asked for better care and consideration for my wonderful cat, George. He found going to the vets a traumatic experience and I am so relieved that he was spared that final visit and was able to have the vet visit him at home. The sedative was administered to him where he was lying in his favourite spot by the radiator. He wasn't even moved and was calm and made comfortable. Then I was able to hold him in my arms while the euthanasia drug was administered. He was not aware of anything that was happening. Thank you all at Dignipets, and in particular Katherine the Vet and Emily on Reception. I don't know how to thank you enough.

The service provided by Dignipets was second to none.
The service provided by Dignipets was exemplary. The vet who arrived was warm and friendy, explaining every step of the process. Her approachable manner and obvious compassion made what was a traumatic time much more bearable. I would recommend this organisation wholeheartedly.

I cannot praise Dignipets highly enough. They truly make one of the hardest decisions bearable. Lucian came out for my darling dog Darcy who was nearly 14. He was so so kind and sensitive to both me and her. This is the second time I have used them and would only ever call them if I need them in the future.

Our much loved family dog had a stroke…
Our much loved family dog had a stroke and we all decided it would be kinder to end her life. Alex from dignipets came to the house and was kindness personified. He explained every step of the procedure and our dog had a stress free end on her own bed, in her home with her family all around her. He was so respectful of her, of us and of our home. We would thoroughly recommend this service.

Disappointing , not listened to, £60 waste of time.
Dignipets combined with our vets combined to deliver an inaccurate and disappointing experience at an emotionally stressful time for us.
Vets indicated they would not be prescribing further medication unless we paid for a quality of life review from Dignipets, which we were told would be a home visit.
Instead we received a video call which comprised a momentary view of the pet and a longer set of questions with a brief report at the end of the session which felt like a pre-written report as it included answers we had blatantly not given.
We feel this was just a cynical £60 waste of time.

We're truly sorry to hear that this experience added to your stress during what we know is an incredibly difficult time caring for your beloved pet.
We apologise that there appears to have been a misunderstanding about the service. Our Quality of Life assessments are always conducted via video consultation and cannot include prescriptions or treatments—only your primary vet can provide those. Home visits from Dignipets are reserved solely for euthanasia appointments when that time comes.
We understand this may not have been what you were hoping for. Our video assessments use a standardised framework to provide an objective evaluation of your pet's quality of life, which you can then take to your own vet to discuss treatment options and next steps.
If you feel the specific details in your assessment report were inaccurate or didn't reflect what was discussed during the consultation, please do contact us at nurse@dignipets.co.uk. We can review the recording against the report to ensure your pet's records are correct.
We also have a Free Dignipets App that allows you to track daily Quality of Life scores at home. This information can be shared with your vet to help them understand your pet's day-to-day reality.
