I've been working with Directly Actors for 4 months now. Their self-tape feedback service is invaluable for actors. After becoming disillusioned and losing confidence in my skills (namely from continuously self-taping for jobs and getting no feedback) it has been such a boost to get detailed and insightful feedback and direction from well-respected working directors. The ability to prove both to them and myself that I can take direction, as well as the sharpness that regular practice naturally gives is fabulous - I cannot overstate how useful it's been for me. I've now booked a role in a small feature film that I likely would not have had the confidence to submit for 4 months ago. Thank you, Directly Actors, for creating such a well-thought through and unique service as well as providing such a supportive and friendly environment for actors to play and take risks in!

Directly Actors are have been so incredible in helping me fine tune my self taping technique as well develop ongoing and useful skills within acting. The directors brought on are absolutely amazing and has been the most fun every month to do. So much detailed and really helpful feedback is given!

A really refreshing acting workshop that felt different from the usual format. The team were friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout, creating a relaxed environment where it was easy to feel comfortable and easy to take risks.in fact it is encouraged!
I enjoyed having the space and opportunity to work with other actors on scenes, which made the workshop feel practical and collaborative. This month the Director was Vicki Kisner and she brought a real warmth and generosity to the sessions, giving useful guidance and encouragement . Did I mention its also really good value! Really enjoyed the Directly workshop with Vicki Kisner. As an actor very new to the profession, I see that, ultimately, my 'client' is the director - and I am finding the pragmatic interaction with directors and other actors a lot more useful than more theoretical classes. Will definitely do more with Directly - a little nerve wracking though it is to work in front of directors who have led major shows.

I attended my first in person workshop with Directly and I cannot praise it enough. The team are super responsive, gave so much support and advice even via email when needed. The workshop was informative, and working with a Director was invaluable experience. I look forward to the selftape feedback and attending more in person events!

In a complex industry it is difficult to find new ways of working but Directly Actors have done just that. To have the opportunity to work one on one with a working tv director was absolutely incredible. Vicky Kisner watched the work I did with a scene partner, gave us insightful notes, worked with us, challenged us and as a result I was able to find nuance and depth in the scene that I did not think I was capable of. I cannot recommend this offer highly enough. And if that wasn’t enough, you then get the chance to do a self tape that Vicky will critique. Having received notes on the first tape, you re submit and get further feedback. Where else does this happen? And the line up of directors that Directly Actors are working with are top notch. 5 star review from me .

I had an informative, insightful and inspiring one to one with Miranda Howard -Williams today. So great to have a good amount of time to work together and discuss ways for me to hopefully move forward with my career.

. Recently having two self tapes for TV jobs and getting a leading TV directors eye on my prep for this was invaluable.

What an excellent service to be able to take advantage of! Having a reader provided by the company means you and the Director can focus solely on your performance. You also receive a summary of notes after your session, which is super helpful as sometimes it's difficult to remember all the notes you've received. The Directors also have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Love the sessions, they are very informative and make you understand not only how you could improve, but also how you can work from a more professional point of view, thanks to the time the team puts not only to work with the directors, but also to make time for your questions if you have any.

I'm so glad I found Directly. Lovely team running it - really helpful and friendly. They're doing what it says on the packaging - putting actors in direct contact with some top-notch TV directors - you can do free group workshops with Q&A, or one-on-ones and/or group workshops where you get to submit a tape and get written feedback from the director before submitting a second tape and getting more feedback. All very reasonably priced. These sessions are real confidence-boosters. Highly recommended.

Myself and a friend won a one hour session with a TV director on Instagram. From start to finish Directly Actors were brilliant. Fantastic communication, they sent brilliant scripts to choose from and an amazing choice of directors to work with. Our session with the wonderful TV director was FANTASTIC! And we went over time and there was no pressure to rush the session. After the session they emailed with a really detailed email about the session and points that were discussed. What an absolutely brilliant workshop and would recommend it to everyone!

Thoroughly enjoyed my session with Vicki Kisner. It was great to get to the nitty gritty of the text and explore it a bit more with slightly different angles. Would highly recommend. So nice to be working with a tv director again and exercise the acting chops. Would def do again!!!

Had several one on one director sessions now and each one has given me a chance to practice my craft and have a sense of being in the room with a director.

As actors we don't have the luxury anymore of many in person castings and it is such a shame as directors need to know you can take direction and also are just a general nice person to have about on set.

What Directly Sessions do is get the opportunity to work with top directors, practice taking direction and have that human connection again from you just you and your camera.

My 18 year old daughter had a 1-1 session with Sean recently and was over the moon with it. It's so easy to feel like you're running in sand in this business but this session massively lifted her spirits and got her back on track. She had incredible feedback and feels confident again - she has booked another session. A brilliant company connecting actors with directors. Love it!
