Discova Avis 65

In Hoi An Vietnam we went on a bicycle tour encompassing the countryside and the busy areas of Hoi An. Our guide was Tam, a very knowledgeable young man. Our group started from Discova HQ in Hoi An and after a briefing our group of 10 or so was off. The bikes were excellent so no problem there.
Tam led the group and we had a tail end Charlie on a motorbike. We initially biked through the busy traffic was an experience and then on back alleys and roads out to the rice fields and beyond.
We had frequent stops so the slowest weren't left behind. We stopped at a rice paper/noodle making small business where we all tried our hand at making the paper which was then made into noodles. We also stopped a weaving household where a couple showed us their operation. The man had been doing it for almost 50 years!
Next to a wine making business. This was very interesting, especially the part about what they had to the vats to make the wine more interesting. We then did wine tasting of 40-70 % proof wines. Great time had by all. Our final stop was a coffee shop for a rest.
It was a very hot 4 hours on a bike but worth the time and effort. Our guide was able to answer all questions about everything on the way. A good day.

The company is well organised, professional people, Mudi(tour organisers)organised a well tailored itenary for the rest of our stay, they are on time, their tour guide Vidi , English well spoken , very friendly, and professional, always on time and got out of her way to always, educate us about her country “Bali”, she is the best …OM SWASTYASTU!!!!!!!

We went to lots of places like the temples and to see the monkeys and the rice fields which was so fun they showed us around everywhere and it was a great day for me and my family thank you

I had booked a Halong Bay cruise with Discova for April 2026. Due to unexpected flight cancellations, the trip became impossible to carry out and I had to request a refund.

At first, the situation was not straightforward, as local supplier policies were involved, but I want to recognize that Discova handled the case professionally and with courtesy throughout the process. After reviewing the documentation, they agreed to cancel the booking free of charge and process a full refund.

I especially appreciated their polite communication, their willingness to review the case carefully, and their effort to find a fair solution. This gave me confidence in their professionalism and customer care.

Because of the way this matter was managed, I would definitely consider using Discova again in the future.

Borneo KK to Sandakan. The experience around Mt Kinabalu was not what was expected. The accommodation for home stay was very poor. No fan, the toilets/shower shared with the host and at times unavailable. The advertisement was that we would eat with the host family, that did not happen! The food was presented under an outdoor area. During the 1 night stay we had to leave the windows open for air flow and the 3 dogs were around our room and continually barking all through the night. Also, if the family were walking above, it would wake us up. Roy was a great guide picking us up at the airport and transporting from Mt Kinabalu to the tea resort. The accommodation in the tea resort has a questionable rating. Rooms are 'run down' and the rooms are positioned approx 6-700m away from the restaurant/breakfast. Breakfast was poor, cold toast, cold eggs with little other choices. There were 6 staff members with 3 having a meal when we arrived. Waiting 10-15 minutes for some fruit and got 2 small pieces of watermelon and pineapple. Breakfast didn’t open until 8am and we were told to have lunch at 11am for pick up at 12? It was raining so we will miss lunch today and travel for a 4 hour bus trip. Hopefully the remainder of the trip improves.

We had a great trip to Uluwatu temple, Loewak coffee and a performance of traditionalBalinese Kecap. Guide was named Eric and driver Susila. They took good care of us. Drinks and raincoats.

We spent a lovely day touring Ubud with our very knowledgeable guide 'Eric' and our driver 'Hendra' they both went above and beyond to make our day memorable and special ,we have used Discova during our time in Bali for airport/hotel transfers and for other tours we cannot recommend them highly enough.
We will definitely be recommending Discova to friends and family who will be visiting Bali in the near future and Eric and Hendra are great ambassadors for Discova also a quick mention of Alit who responded quickly and helpfully to any requests or questions we had.

We did three guided tours around Bali with Witri as our guide and Zain as our driver, and they were great!! We learned somuch about the culture and the places we visited. Everything went smoothly with the booking and organizing trough our hotel and the planing of the activities. Even waiting on the traffic jams was fun with them and we could chat about so many things! Can only recommend Witri and Zain!

We had a lovely day with this being our second experience with Discova. Utama and Budi were fantastic and allowed us to be flexible on a 3 waterfall trip making the most of our day with stop offs. Time was never mentioned and as a family we had time and understanding to change and dry off and get plenty of pictures. Utama and Budi are a credit to Discova and the knowledge and information really gave us as a family an understanding of Bali culture and living during our day. A nice lunch and cold drinks on the bus made everything an enjoyable experience

Bali great, Discova guide and driver just as good. We booked a Bali tour through travel agency Tourcompass and their ground operator was Discova. Through 10 days of touring, staying at four locations, we had absolutely no issues. The tours were organised well and every day started on time. Our guide Made Suardana was very informative and spoke excellent English.

We had two experiences booked through our travel agent with Discova, and both fell well below expectations — nothing like what Discova promotes. From the very beginning, the tours were poorly managed: the guides gave little to no introductions, transport was unsafe, and the overall organisation was the worst we’ve ever experienced. We’ve travelled extensively throughout the region and can honestly say our trip to Bali was the most disappointing because of these tours.

I strongly advise customers to beware — what you are promised will not measure up to the reality. We raised detailed feedback with Discova, highlighting over 20 areas where the tours were misrepresented, yet we were told our expectations were “unrealistic” and that they saw no operational failures. This response shows a complete lack of accountability and concern for customer safety or satisfaction.

Based on our experience, we will never use Discova again. Our travel agent has also confirmed they will not be recommending Discova to NZ or AU clients going forward.

Sugi, our guide, was very friendly and accommodating. It was unfortunately raining for our tour, but we had umbrellas, and there were enough breaks in the rain to enjoy both temples, the monkey forest, and a little coffee shop in Bali.

muki our guide was great,he was informative and let us ask plenty of questions about our day with him.
He also offered us various stops and experiences while going to our final destination.
He was basically on call all afternoon and drove us to our door when the day was over.
We will definitely use Discova again.

We had an all day trip Ubud Tour and Ricepadi, had a great day with Utama, lovely temple lots of history provided, water fall and then lunch at Abian Desa was amazing.

We had a great tour experience with Discova. The tour was complete and the guide Yadnya has been very friendly and professional. A big thanks to him and our driver Ramdani !

We went to see The Erawan Museum and Ancient city tour in June 2025 with Khun Olivia. She was very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our tour with Discova team members. Thank you Discova to pick up from the Bangkok airport and drop off to the Bangkok airport. 🌹
