Found DH, Thermaskirt online when looking for options to get rid of the rad's in my newbuild where the developer gave no thought to where one might put a sofa or side unit. After lots of research I went for it, got a really good price I have to say as they were doing a promo at the time which they honored even after the deal had actually lapsed.
This was a DIY install... They sent everything I needed plus spares (There was one faulty tectite elbow which I had to replace as there wasn't a spare but it was only a quick trip to Screw Fix, no biggy) - I imagine they would have sent a repacement but I needed to get it finished and it was a sunday. I struggled a bit with the start of the install but once I understood what the manual was saying it started to go on the wall quickly. (I had an email back and forth [out of office hours] with Martin the MD and he was happy to take notes on what I found confusing and told me to send anything to their CS team so their teams could look at it and improve if possible) so that's pretty impressive in terms of CS and willingness to take onboard feedback. The install was straightforward, with the exception of the heated threshold but that was due to the hardness of the screed nothing to do with DH/TS. Just be prepared for that if you have a newbuild.
Having now lived with the system for several months I have to say I absolutely love it, I plan to put it in other rooms moving forwards. The heat delivery is really impressive especially when you're used to radiators that are hot next to them but it's cold on the other side of the room. TS heats the room so evenly.
If you're a competent DIYer it's something you'll be able to do yourself!! I can't recommend the system enough, it's a fantastic alternative to UFH and 100% better than traditional rads!!
This is the most elegant skirting board I could find. The assembly went without any problems. The power is not sufficient as the sole heating system in a poorly insulated house in northern Germany, but it reliably prevents mold growth behind cabinets.
A request for a spare part was answered quickly, the part was delivered without charge, but the delivery took far too long with over 4 months.
DiscreteHeat Thermaskirt are a fantastic company, great service and always there to help when you need it. I've had their Thermaskirt in my living room for the last 7 years, as I didn't want all the hassle of laying under floor heating and it's been a great alternative. The room is evenly heated and no radiators to work your furniture round or block. Now I need to extend it and Martin from the company has been super helpful answering all my queries on how to do this even at the weekend! Can't recommend this company enough, really pleased with the service.

We have the electric Thermaskirt upstairs and water based downstairs.
Never had an issue with it and gets the rooms up to temperature with no issues.
Really good aftercare service from Lauryn!

We have just bought a house that has skirting heating. The previous owner had died, so we had no idea what on earth this was but thankfully DiscreteHeat have been amazing and have helped to explain the setup. Thanks to their help, we now know that it's Thermaskirt Urban LT that we have fitted which is totally amazing! all heating should be like this. The lounge and dining room that have Thermaskirt are the warmest rooms in the house. We will certainly be looking at expanding the skirting heating throughout the rest of the house in the future.

Just installed 6.5m of Thermoskirt in kitchen and it has made a great difference temperature. The plumber seemed to have very few problems with the installation and the Tech Dept were very helpful and responsive to the few queries we had.

I have been extremely pleased with the customer support at discrete heat and can wholeheartedly recomend them and their thermaskirt solution. I've had thermaskirt for about 10 years now and have been very pleased, but wanted to replace the top gasket which was starting to yellow. The support team could not have been more helpful. A breath of fresh air!

I have had Thermaskirt fitted at various stages over the last few years and I think my first system was fitted back in 2008! Following a ceiling leak we had repainted (badly) so my Thermaskirt top strip had taken a battering. I was also concerned about the heat levels in my kitchen as it is extremely poorly insulated. I contacted Discreteheat and they could not have been more supportive. They arranged for an engineer to come over to have a look at the heat levels and they discovered that the whole house needed to be balanced correctly. If only I had rang them sooner!! Every room is beautifully toasty and the top strip was replaced which makes the skirting look brand new. Absolutely delighted with the service and also that the engineer (Carl) went above and beyond to make sure all the other rooms were functioning well.
Great product, great team of people and a very happy customer. Thank you so much Discreteheat!!

This has to be the WORST heating solution ever and equally bad customer service. I have recently installed thermaskirt heating and its does not do its basic function of radiating heat, the old traditional radiators used to keep room warmer but this solution is absolutely useless. ... such a waste of money, time and effort. I STRONGLY recommend to stay away from any false promises from this company.
It now seems DiscreteHeat ThermaSkirt are completing disowning their responsibility by making false claim that we almade a mistake about company and product even when I provided them with specifc order number.

We have just contacted this company for two new thermostats for our skirting thermostats, as the previous owners had broken them , this company came back immediately and were totally knowledgeable and professional, can certainly recommend them for your heating needs , there customer service is five star and more .and sent me new parts FOC , what a great company, certainly the best of British, thank you

Great product, amazing service, fitted it many years ago, slightly weeping valve from an area of heavy footfall, they were so helpful new valve and joints provided at no cost and it’s been installed about 10 years. Have always said the system was the age it is and had done well to get this far without issue so clearly the installers did an ok job installing it.
My issue was that it came to a point when I didn’t get an email with anyone’s mobile , when it was said that I would get one. Maybe that email ended up in my junk email I don’t know.
My issue was also when I phoned it got to a point when I did not get a reply to my calls and so was unable to give the plumber any information and in the meanwhile I have no heating for my kids and this issue dragged on.
After I put this review on I then received a helpful email detailing what exactly to do with the parts sent - I upgraded the star rating as a result.
That’s all that was needed and appreciated.
The heating was finally fixed late Thursday and my entire heating system checked and mega flow etc reset so no stone unturned in ensuring everything is ok.
I dont wish to down a Uk business and these things happen so it’s not a case of not pleasing everyone it’s just at times things go wrong and the only way to get resolution is through discussion.

Diabolical when the system leaks not once but three times ruining a carpet and leaking buckets of water.
Then try to get a plumber who knows the system then after over a week of being told this company will call back they don’t even when they offered to talk me through a fix. To their credit they sent out a part for free. But I had bought entire kits to do the fix properly.
Today after again no call back all day , I called asked for the address and managing director details to formally write a complaint as per Their complaints procedure, after all it’s now been 2 weeks without heat it’s messed up our mega flow our boiler and sorry to moan but my family is cold ! The telephone advisor could not would not tell me who was in charge to write to ! It’s not funny I paid fully for this system and have done my utmost to simply get my home heating working again and now I need a new carpet. Should it be this much effort just to get a phone call back and know how to fix the system. Not really in my view. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Extended our kitchen into the garage 2018 and decided to fit the DiscreteHeat Thermaskirt as we were short on wall space. This system is by far one of the best radiators we fitted let’s off a great amount of heat, no pipe work can be seen and best of all no need to paint never rusts looks as good as new 6 years on unlike the traditional radiators we had fitted in other rooms. After service is quick and extremely helpful can’t recommend enough. Dave

We had Thermaskirt fitted as part of our Aira heat pump install. We didn't want extra large radiators as part of the install and were introduced to the Thermaskirt skirting board radiators. We eventually decided to have the whole house done with them. This did require a bit of disruption as everything was done within a week at the same time as the heat pump install. Very glad we had it done as it looks great and works extremely well and we got rid of nearly all our wall radiators. Everyone we had dealings with were great and the work was high quality. Would highly recommend the product and the people.
