Ended up having to pay nearly £60 for a €22 domain renewal
I got a request from the company for €22.25 for domain renewal and promptly paid it in full, as well as a £15 charge for my Lloyds business bank account to pay a German company. I then received a message to say they had only received €4.33. When I sent them a screenshot to show both my payment and the charge I had had to pay to cover all fees they said that 'It is possible that his happened because of a fee for transactions outside of the EU.'
I paid the £15 fee for transactions outside the EU as I showed them.
It is ridiculous that they are an international company but have no simple way to receive money from UK bank accounts. I somehow still owe them 17 euros for something I already paid the full 22 euros for. So alongside fees I will end up having to nearly £60 for a 22 euros charge. They are now asking me to send this on paypal, even though I originally paid via my bank, which hardly seems like good practise.
A very bad experience with a company not set up properly. I wish I could change my domain provider and will make sure not to use them again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback. While the bank transfer is a payment option, you can also pay via credit/debit card and Paypal. Unfortunately, most banks have their own set of fees and rules on money transfers, and therefore it's not easy for us to identify which bank will charge what.
While paying Credit/Debit or Paypal - you will not be charged additional banking fees, and we will be looking into removing this option in future; as you've stated, it can be a sting to pay far more than you originally planned for - so we'll take your feedback onboard and liaise with our billing and management team to review if this form of payment should remain in place or be removed going forward.

I have used dd24 for several years and never had any issues. I needed some customer support this week and their response was provided in less than thirty minutes. Basically, a solid and competitively-priced service with good support.

USA East coast business owner raves about dd24
I am in USA and started with dd24 about 5+years ago
I was hesitant as you never hear about this site here in US BUT i found out Google used them and gave them a try.
I gave up immediate support (as time frames don't match with me) but knew this going in. I did have some very technical setup issues along the way (5 websites later!.)....but always recd prompt support emails/directions within next day and we always solved each/every hurdle quickly.
I will not go back to those "bigbox" USA sites and SO Happy with DD24 as my host/Email/Cpanel provider!
If you are skeptical, don't be as you will be completely happy & in good hands!

SUPER SERVICE
Ich nutze den Service jetzt schon seit zwei Jahren vielleicht sogar etwas mehr. Und muss wirklich sagen, ich bin überaus erstaunt über den sehr guten vor allem auch sehr schnellen freundlichen und kompetenten Support. Das ist in der Servicewüste Deutschland wirklich keine Selbstverständlichkeiten mehr. Außerdem sind die Domains hier wirklich preisgünstig und man hat im backend alle Einstellungsmöglichkeiten, die man als Administrator benötigt. Wirklich ein sehr, sehr toller Anbieter, den ich nur weiter empfehlen kann.
