Glazing renewal FEB 2024

Company in liquidation/no recompense for faulty work
So it would appear this company has gone into liquidation, so anyone covered by the 10 year guarantee, which is not worth the paper it is written on, will have no recall. I was a victim of the shoddy work carried out on my facias/guttering. It would be pointless, at this stage, going into the full details, as there will be no recompense. I am left with having to get a roofer to rectify their faults, as taking them through the Small Claim's Court would be futile. I've had to learn my lesson the hard way and, as others have said, they do target the elderly - me being one of them!
Avoid like the plague
Without any doubt, the shadiest and worst company I have ever dealt with.
An elderly relative contracted with this company to replace some windows.
The damage that they caused to his property was unbelievable . This was in early January 2022. It took until late February ( and multiple chases) to address the damage and complete the job. Complete redecoration was still needed due to the extent of the damage. At this point, just wanted them gone from his property.
Fast forward to September 2024 and a unit failed - mould inside the sealed unit.
Contacted the company as there is a 10 year warranty, What a joke.
It took until April 2025 to get any response and a threat of legal action).
Since then, many stalling tactics , multiple deaths and illnesses and excuses ( funny that they don’t receive emails ….)
Advised in May that unit was being ordered. Now the end of July and company no longer respond or answer the phone.
CAB, trading standards and lawyer involved.
Do yourself a favour - avoid like the plague. More than happy to send photos/record if contacts to verify this review.
Am sure that they will reply with excuses - there are none for leaving a 90 year old in this mess.
Deposit refunded
The work agreed with this company could no longer take place due to a bereavement.
Deposit was refunded back to customer with minimal fuss. Very freindly over the phone and was very understanding of the situation.

They fitted some replacement windows in February. Still not got invoice or guarantee after more than one phone call. I believe they overcharged me and the windows get misty in the morning when I was told this would not happen with argon filled windows. I am 80 years old, I think they take advantage of the old.

Appalling workmanship and even worse customer service…
On 16 Oct 2024 agreed for K glass to be fitted (16 units + double patio door unit. Paid £1,300 deposit, work to be carried out 2-3 weeks time. work done 2 Dec. documents would be forwarded within 3-5 days. The work was appalling. (1) mixed white cement on black tarmac drive, very unsightly (2) screws discarded all over front drive and back patio, picking them up for several weeks (3) concrete on my stone planter which I tried to remove (4) blood deposit left on a wall in house, and discarded bandage found on front drive (5) fragments of glass embedded on my house carpet (6) very poor unprofessional finish on cement used to fit patio door (7) missing documents.
I first started chasing up the documents and put in my complaint on 27 Dec and I've sent them photos. I have never let this matter drop constantly ringing the company and texting Dan who initiated the work. the only positive response was on 14 Feb when Emma said she would send someone to have a look. Three weeks later the fitters came to look and said they would come back within 2-3 weeks with a power wash for the drive. They never came back. Also it is imperative that I receive the documents so that I can apply for the Energy Proficiency Certificate. This has been so stressful and time wasting that I have spoken to Citizens Advice and on 27 March I sent the company formal notification giving them 10 days before I take legal action. So far they have ignored me as has been their response for the past four months.

I had a friend with me when fitters here who broke the glass (explains their blood stain on wall). It was suggested we (not them) should clear it up which we did but glass gets engrained in carpet. Why would I lie about this? NOTHING was “PROMPTLY” addressed. In case you’ve forgotten first complaint was 7 Dec and regularly since that date. Fitters came 21 Feb, would come back 2-3 weeks. They didn’t. I sent you formal notification I would be taking legal action. You ignored that so I put review on Trustpilot. Immediate response to that after waiting 4 months! Tel call from Nadeem, the owner, saying it would be sorted immediately. The fitter would come the next day and if I was happy then would I take the review off website. Yes, the fitter came 4April and did put things right. I mentioned the missing documents to him. He phoned Nadeem then and asked if he could email them to me. The reply was no, he would ring me on 7 April and also discuss compensation. He didn’t. On 8 April I had a call from the woman who had rung me on 12 March to say she was dealing with the problems and would get back to me that day. She didn’t. This time said documents in post, some from them and one from elsewhere. Not very explicit! I queried compensation. Apparently Nadeem would be offering me £100. I said.unacceptable (works out at 1.49%). I assume that final conversation with your company is what prompted your reply to my review the following day. I did receive their documents but not the insurance guarantee. Queried this, told me registered with Certass and I should contact them direct. Spent ages trying to find tel number on website, all for trade, not consumer. Website says “once Certass contractor completes work they send notification to Certass who should then issue the certificate as well as notifying local authority of completed work”. Please sort this for me. Incidentally the EP Certificate was one of your selling points which I was unaware was no longer necessary. It’s a pity your work and customer service don’t live up to your sales pitch. Don’t think I’m letting this matter drop.

I have recently used this company for my doors and windows and i was so glad i chose this company as the staff was very friendly making me feel comfortable. The final result of the windows was done to a high standard which i am pleased with. I would 100% recommend this company, some relatives are also going through the process after i had such a good experience with them.

I'm still waiting for my guarantee
I'm still waiting for my guarantee, and energy rating certificate (which apparently you don't get one now, told during initial confrontation we would get one). Still also waiting for receipt for payment in full, and the customer service is shocking, all they keep ringing me up for is asking me to remove my other 1 star review, they don't care about how we feel they have done (I wouldn't recommend them)

Refund
While visiting my 88 year old father, the company workmen for DSNL arrived to measure up for windows, Dad had no recollection of any communication for this, the gentleman who had entered the house and spoken to Dad immediately, got in touch with the office to arrange a refund as my Dad is clearly very very forgetful, and not fully aware!
The office immediately got in touch with myself and within the hour had refunded the full deposit that my Dad had paid!
I am incredibly grateful and thankful that these people have such a high moral standards!

Had my windows done with this company from start to finish they were very polite, the man who came to fit my windows cleaned up after his self, the communication was spot on and my new windows are very very good. My family are even using this company after my amazing experience.

Absolutely fantastic service with this company. My parents had full replacement windows and doors last year they did a fantastic job I've just had all my house changed including bio folding doors and they are amazing.brilliant service from start to finish. I would recommend this company for anyone.

Had a visit from a lovely man called…
Had a visit from a lovely man called Lee who carried out a free energy efficiency test on my double glazing ,Lee was very helpful in pointing out where I had heat loss issues .I then had some glazing replaced by dean, the whole experience was easy and they were professional from the first visit to the work being completed ,I will definitely be recommending DSNL to my family and friends

Couldn’t recommend enough
I recently had my windows fitted by DSNL and I couldn't be happier with the service. The team was extremely professional, arriving on time and completing the job efficiently. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding, and my new windows look fantastic. They took great care to ensure everything was done to a high standard and left my home clean and tidy. I had a visit from a lovely lady called joanne who conducted a free energy efficiency assessment on my double glazing, this was extremely helpful as I was able to replace my glazing with the help I was left , the fitting team did a excellent job and was clean tidy and efficient in there work .I would highly recommend and will be using DSNL again for any future work

I cancelled but slow return of deposit
I cancelled my contract. They acknowledged the cancellation but a month later I still await the return of my deposit.
After posting the above I was contacted a number of times by the company. I understand that the only person able to authorise the refund was called abroad due to the death of a close family member and this caused thd delay. My deposit was returned in full to my bank account shortly after this.
Pity this happened with an otherwise good and reliable company.

Robbing an elderly lady
One of your salespeople rang my elderly mum who has dementia. That person came out and said she needed two new windows. You have taken £414 as a deposit. I am appalled by this. What sort of salespeople are you employing. I will be taking this further with a complaint to trading standards and legal action against your organisation.
