Patience is a virtue
I originally placed my order on February 6th, delivery was confirmed on February 17th and after a bit of an issue with DPD, it eventually showed up yesterday, March 19th. The tin of dates is marvellous, lovely design and the personalised sleeve is a nice touch. The dates themselves are delicious and you can't eat one without thinking of the people in Palestine, a bittersweet feeling of connection.

Disappointing
Currently not got a clue what is going on. Emails telling me the dates have been shipped. DPD telling me they don't have them and the disaster that is the shop app (check their reviews on here) telling me they were delivered at 10:50 this morning.
Still think this is an expensive scam until proved wrong.
I will provide updates as I go.

I have a dpd tracking number that is not live as they have not received the item.
I was advised when I enquired that delivery would be 3-5 days (whatsapp chat), we are now going into the 2nd week. Birthday tomorrow....

Delayed delivery and still no refund despite agreement
I had a very disappointing experience with Donate Directly Shop.
I placed Order #6370 on 18 January with delivery expected by end of January, but by early February nothing had been dispatched. I contacted the company multiple times chasing an update, as the items were meant to be gifts.
On 10 February, the company confirmed that if my order wasn’t delivered by the following Wednesday, they would arrange a full refund straight away. However, the delivery still did not arrive, and the courier tracking showed DPD had not even received the parcel.
When I requested my refund, I was then told the order had suddenly been shipped and could not be cancelled even though DPD website states they have not received the parcel! It is now far too late (over a month), and I still have neither the products nor my money back, despite repeatedly asking them to refund me.
This has been extremely frustrating and unfair. I would not recommend ordering from them based on this experience.

There was a delay during a very high-volume dispatch period and the courier tracking did not update as expected, which understandably made the situation worse. That’s on us to manage better.

We genuinely apologise for the inconvenience and the back and forth you experienced. That is not the standard we aim for.

Important cause and beautiful dates
I ordered a tin of dates with my brother’s name on the tin. Very pleased with the final product. Beautiful sturdy tin, fabulous artwork. The dates plump and delicious. Big shout out to Aisha who helped me with my order. I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you.

Lovely gift but long delivery time
Although it took just over 3wks to arrive they are worth the wait. Just be aware the personalised name is printed on a cardboard sleeve and wrapped around the tin, not printed on the tin. Still a lovely gift though and for a good cause ❤️

Just to clarify for anyone reading, the personalised sleeve was always our original concept and intention from the very beginning. The design is professionally printed as a bespoke sleeve for each order and carefully wrapped around the tin. This allows us to customise names and messages efficiently, especially during high demand periods like Ramadan.
Printing directly onto metal tins at individual level would be extremely expensive and would significantly increase the price, meaning we wouldn’t be able to keep the product accessible while still supporting people in Palestine. The sleeve model allows us to personalise at scale while keeping the mission affordable and impactful.

I’ve just received my personalised tin of dates in support of Palestine and I could not be happier. Yes the wait was long but I emailed with concern and the communication was immediate and reassuring. I understand the logistics involved in this and I have no doubt this is not a huge company with the resources and capabilities to enable ‘Amazon level distribution’. I would encourage patience and contact by email and remember why you ordered from this company in the first place. I’m happy! Worth the wait!

Do not trust them
I would give zero stars if I could. They started calling me out of the blue in 2024 asking for donations. I was hesitant as it was a cold call and I said I'd look into the company and make a decision at a later date. I decided against donating as they are not a UK registered charity and therefore not accountable to the Charity Commission, meaning I can't trust how my donation could be used. I received more calls and explained i didn't want to donate as they are not a registered charity, but unfortunately they continued to call sometimes daily from different numbers. I've asked them several times to remove me from their call list and delete my data and they say they will, but never do. They are certainly in breach of data protection laws at the very least. I've received 2 calls in the space of 2 hours this evening therefore forced to write this review.

Donate Directly is a US based transparency and fundraising platform. We work alongside registered charity partners, including Euro Relief UK Charity No. 1197389, who handle regulated UK delivery and compliance.
If you’ve heard from us, it would usually be because you’ve attended one of our events, purchased our Palestine dates, or previously donated to one of our campaigns. We work with some of the most established and well known charities in the UK to ensure donations are delivered properly and transparently.
If someone has asked to be removed from our contact list, that request should be actioned. Full stop.
We do not ignore data removal requests and we do not knowingly contact anyone daily from different numbers as described.

Donate Directly is a transparency and giving platform. On-the-ground aid is delivered through fully registered charity partners. For example, our Gaza response is delivered via Euro Relief UK Charity No. 1197389, who handle compliance, governance and regulated distribution inside Gaza.
We provide the technology, tracking and public proof layer so donors can see where funds go. Delivery evidence, videos and reporting are shared openly across our channels.
We do not profit from disaster. We exist to reduce waste and increase transparency.

GRATEFUL and BLESSED!!! I ordered the dates in support of the people of Palestine last summer, I ordered dates in a tin with my name wrapped on it. I honestly wasn't going to mind if they didn't even get them to me, it was more about consciously supporting the charity. I AM SO GRATEFUL and BLESSED as they arrived today!! It's taken months and I don't care because I am privileged enough not to living in a war zone. Saddens me to see people complaining on here!! Actual sickens me to see people are upset - upset about what? Has your house been blown up today? Probably not. Practise the art of gratitude, humble yourself and give thanks. ✨️

Yes, the delivery times are longer than expected but aren't the dates and olives coming from Palestine? With the geno that's going on over there it's a miracle that they're still able to deliver them at all.
They do come, just a little longer than expected, Some of us have the sense to understand this, while some don't.

i really wanted to support this…
i really wanted to support this initiative with the dates - but unfortunately they have not delivered the product by the date promised (19th Jan) nor communicated that there might be a delay until i got in touch and aired concerns that this was a scam - then they replied wuth apologies that they had delays due to high volume but still no updated delivery date - or even estimate. This is very suspicious and I feel others should be warned - if they aren't delivering the goods - how on earth can we confident they are passing on the donations?
