The setting is beautiful and both Taylor and Eva are pleasant and welcoming. It's been a successful tax season for receiving and mail, client drop-off of materials. Only question item was what the rules were for client pick-up of tax returns with Nancy or I meeting them there -- in terms of when a brief meet in the reception area becomes a meeting that should reserve a room. Think we've sorted it out, but want to wait to award that 5th star until a few more months have gone by (we just started in January). All in all, though, we're delighted and thrilled with Downtown Works Carlsbad!

We also appreciate you bringing up the clarification around client meetings and reception area usage. We know these situations can sometimes feel a little nuanced, especially as businesses grow and usage patterns evolve. Our goal is always to maintain a professional and comfortable environment for all members while balancing the intended use of each membership type.
As discussed, our standard Virtual Office membership is designed primarily for business address and mail services, while meeting room access and coworking benefits are included with select upgraded memberships such as Virtual Office+. We’re glad we were able to connect and clarify expectations together, and we truly appreciate your understanding and collaboration.

This space is beautiful
This space is beautiful. I really enjoy the outdoor work area and tables where I can have my lunch and break up my work week at home. It's peaceful and I enjoy the amenities. I am also grateful for the staff - they're accommodating and helpful when I need anything. There is a good balance of communal shared space and the ability to have privacy with your work.

I can't even begin to tell you all the dimensions of awesomeness and vectors of joy embedded in DW-Carlsbad. I think I'd have to start with that very moment you walk in and are greeted by two of the coolest humans on the planet, brimming over with anecdotes, complex layerings of sass, and a joie de vivre that is more uplifting than a quad espresso with your zodiac sign swirled as latte art. As you walk through the space, settling into power-mood lighting and elegant steampunk flourishes, receiving greetings and waves through the various postmodern glass walls of the friendly yet immersed-in-deepwork co-workers, your brain changes state from whatever baggage-cloud you walked in with - to a stainless, spotless, sharp-edged precision MACHINE because you, and everyone else, are here to work - or rather, make productive magic happen. In all honesty, this DW - and most particular the mavens of the front desk - commingle fun, collaboration, and focus in a way that's truly remarkable. I keep coming back!

Great Place for Productivity
I’ve been using this coworking space for a while.
The staff members who I know( Eva and Taylor) are absolutely amazing. They are incredibly approachable, kind, and always ready to help. They’re very prompt and supportive, and they encourage members to connect through networking and the events they host.
The space itself is well organized, hygienic, and very conducive to productivity. Everything feels thoughtfully maintained and welcoming. I also love the patio which is perfect to take a break and stretch.

Great spot
Great spot - really enjoying it. Only suggestion - can we turn the music in the main working areas lower or off entirely? There really is no need to have music playing loudly while people are trying to focus / on calls.

We play low ambient music in our shared work areas to create a comfortable level of white noise that helps drown out background conversations and maintain a balanced atmosphere. Look No Further!
Downtown Works in Carlsbad is a very pleasant and professional coworker space. It is nicely appointed, with multiple conference rooms, open work spaces, and private office spaces for rent. The place is kept spotless, and the amenities include beer on tap, coffee service, and healthy snacks. Access is easy, and during normal working hours there is always knowledgeable staff at the front desk to answer queries. I've held a private office space there for going on two years, granting me 24/7 access. I've not once had any issues concerning safety or simply getting in after-hours. There's also parking galore. I've looked at other local workspaces, but for me nothing compares!

Really great staff and customer service! I needed a workspace for the day while I was down in Carlsbad for a friend's wedding. The staff was also able to move me to an office for some calls towards the end of the day. Gossip while you work
If you like to listen to 20-somethings talk and gossip nonstop while you try to work, then this is the place for you! Oh, and don't forget the loud music.
Not the most productive or ideal "work" environment. Disappointed that I spent money on a day pass here.
