A complete con
We paid just under £500 for one and a half hours diagnostics. We where left with an app and advice if the problem did not rectify itself to contact another Garage. We need to use the app every journey and request a refund as the van has never been repaired, and find that the £100 guarantee has not been returned to our Charity

Great service
Great service! From the team on the phone to Luke attending I can not fault the service I received. Everyone was polite, friendly and professional. Communication was great throughout & Luke arrived on time. Luke was wonderful! He found the problem & got straight onto fixing it. His was very knowledgable & explained everything so I could understand (not being a dpf specialist myself). I would definitely recommend! Thank you

Fitted DPF sensor and pipes
Used again to fit a new DPF sensor and pipes after initial DPF clean the week before. Very tricky job but engineer was fantastic. Just got on with the job with no problems. Fast and efficient service. Not often you get a company who do what they promise to do. But these do that and more besides. Very happy

Advice cost me nothing
A recent diagnostic showed that I had a Nox sensor problem. I referred it to Auto Assist who had recently fitted a new one. As part of their investigation they suggested that it might in fact be the AdBlue system. Armed with their knowledge I refilled the AdBlue and all of the warning lights went out and the system re set. All done for free and enabled me to drive my car worry free. Above and beyond the call of duty and they have created a new client.

Fantastic Service
This is, by far, the most professional, courteous and knowledgeable company I have experienced in recent years. I am delighted with the manner in which they dealt with my vehicle. What impressed me the most was the caller on first contact and that of the mechanic who turned up. \both of which I highly recommend.

Booked paid.sorted. A few days later we receive amessage have no availibility. Ok change days. Got a text on the day of second booking after confirmation how about this date. My wife had to take a day off. So left in a worse state booking through this company. Be careful.

Further to my "one star review". Threatening legal letter and requirement to amend or remove my review.
Further to my "one star review" of 4/4/26. I today received a letter threatening me with court if, WITHIN 48 hours, I don't amend or remove my honest and factual review of my personal experience with this company.
I also received a "cease and desist" notification to among other things stop sharing my personal experiences on Social Media. Oh, and they didn't like the fact that I have contacted the BBC's consumer protection programme "Watchdog" on "The One Show".
I will update further.

The clean itself is fully documented — pre and post diagnostic readings, photographs, and a signed Vehicle Health Check confirm it was completed successfully. Three separate mechanical faults outside the scope of a DPF clean were identified on the day, written into your report and signed for. DPF systems are complex; preventing re-blockage requires those underlying causes to be put right separately, which is why we record and explain them before leaving site. A £99 goodwill refund has already been processed for items not received. We offered a direct phone conversation with senior staff to resolve your concerns; this was declined.
A formal letter was issued on 4 May 2026 on behalf of the Directors, by email and Royal Mail Special Delivery. We do not issue correspondence of that kind in response to honest customer feedback, and we have never asked you to remove an opinion. The letter was issued specifically in response to wording you have publicly attributed to our website which does not match the published text — including material variation between two of your own posts of supposedly the same quotation — and a sustained pattern of correspondence our advisers considered required a formal response. All correspondence in this matter is documented and on file.
Auto Assist Group and DPF Specialist have carried out more than 30,000 successful DPF cleans. We welcome honest customer feedback and use it to improve our service. We will always respond fully and in good faith to any formal process — including Section 75 / chargeback enquiries or properly served legal correspondence. Our final position and the channel for any further engagement are set out in the 4 May letter. We will not be entering into further public correspondence here.
I am happy with the service, work and the cost
The engineer arrived within the confirmed time slot (8-10am) and called prior to the visit to confirm his arrival time. Alex resolved the DPF issue and cleared the warning light. He also gave me some advice on what I need to do to prevent this re-occurring. A full written report is subsequently emailed to me. I am happy with the service, work and the cost, whilst not cheap, is acceptable to me.

Adam was very friendly and efficient
Adam was very friendly and efficient. He did his job very well and explained it step by step. He also advised a long test run then check error codes before using the vehicle again. All in all, a very good experience and reasonably priced for an “at home” service.

Had engine management lights on and dpf filter light on had a man called Rob who came out to see me the next day and managed to clean filter and remove light that I had taken my car to previous garage and couldn’t even remove engine management lights off due to codes that main dealership had put on but Rob sorted it out for me and was honest about the situation top man I would definitely recommend this company
