I purchased several of their products for my concrete candle business. I was initially happy with their sealer but they changed the formula without informing their customers, the second jar was a completely different product, it is very watery. Even worse I decided to give their Hydro Dip and three finishes of Quick Dip a try. I also purchased their varnishes in Gloss, Matte and Satin. Hydro Dip turned my vessels yellow, when I wrote them about it they did not take responsibility and implied I must have been using it wrong. Then the product in the jar itself turned yellow without any UV exposure (I keep my stuff in a dark room) The same thing happened with Matte Varnish (it was extremely watery and turned completely yellow in a month) and a little bit with Matte Quick Dip. I sent them several messages and told them all their matte formulas had the same issue and they simply ignored all my messages, never received a reply. This is after spending so much money on their products. I wrote/posted a video on the Facebook group that they are regular at in hopes of them seeing it and whoever was the moderator there (who most likely was a friend of the owner) questioned me and closed my post to comments so my post would not be on top. I just found out they discontinued the varnishes/replaced them with a new product, most likely due to problems they were having and I am now stuck with this flawed products that I cannot use for my lighter vessels.

Everyone was raving how great their customer service is and how lovely and helpful owner is (most likely due to being friends with several mods and influencers). What a joke. They don't stand by their product and you will not get any customer service if you run into issues.

Review for Earth Safe Finishes

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience with Earth Safe Finishes and, specifically, the unhelpful customer service provided by Nancy Burkhart. I ordered eco-friendly finishes, paid three times the U.S. dollar amount in my local Caribbean currency, and arranged for delivery to my cousin’s U.S. address to avoid high international shipping fees. Unfortunately, the order status and communication from Earth Safe have been problematic.

While I initially made an error with the delivery address, I promptly notified Ms. Burkhart of the correction within six hours of placing the order. Despite this, she did not update the address, and now, nearly two weeks later, the shipment shows as “awaiting delivery.” I attempted to track the package using the USPS link and tracking number Ms. Burkhart provided, but USPS has informed me that there is no record of this shipment or tracking number in their system, indicating the package never actually entered USPS’s possession.

Instead of addressing my concerns, Ms. Burkhart attributed the delay to “Hurricane Helene.” Her communication has been condescending and dismissive, with no apparent interest in resolving the issue or acknowledging the impact of this experience. Despite her reputation as a seasoned professional in customer service, this interaction left me feeling disregarded and deeply frustrated.

I chose Earth Safe Finishes because of the positive product reviews, but after this experience, I would caution international customers to be aware of potential issues with delivery and customer support.
