Some of the plants have been grown under shade. As soon as the plants from the shade house were planted all the leaves burnt. Don't think they will die but set back a lot

When You Receive Your Plants
When you receive your plants unwrap them carefully and place them in a pot and add a high quality free draining potting mix (not garden soil). Generally the pot should be the smallest the plant fits in. If the pot is too large the plants will be prone to fungus and rot. Most of our plants will go into 140 mil to 200 mil pots.
Water the plants in well with a seaweed/seasol solution. It is extremely important to water plants in when they are potted up. Continue to use a weak seasol or kelp solution once a week until plants are established. Seaweed will strengthen your plants and fish emulsion has a broad range of micronutrients.
Place in a shadehouse or a spot with indirect light, gradually increasing light exposure. Remember your plants have been in a dark box and are not ready to go directly into sunlight. .
Water regularly as the soil drys out but do not overwater.
Fertilize with a organic extra or chicken pellet fert and what till roots establish through the pot.
You can now plant your plants in the ground.
If you choose to place plants directly in the ground you will not have as much control over light and water and your success rate may not be as high. But if you do choose to do so make sure plants and mulched, watered regularly and protected from intense light."

Different but excellent
Not what i was expecting, but great. I wanted to wait a week, until I gave feedback. This was due to the plants arriving in a box, and they were small. A lot smaller than plants I have purchased in the past. In saying that, after a week, they are throwing new chutes already and look very healthy.

I'm so glad you're happy and we hope to see you again. Just make sure you contact us if you have any questions as we are a mailorder nursery which means plants come in a box. There are other nurseries closer to SE Qld that can supply you with larger plants but of course, they don't have flat rate postage and with freight it would literally double the cost of your order. Townsville can be a little tricky with some things, a little protection (canopy or not afternoon sun), decent mulch and regular watering will go a long way. Although all of your plants arrived here in great condition, when I repotted them I found that most of them were very pot bound.

Hi Hazel, etlingeras don't mind being tight in the pots. They were all grown outside in Full FNQ sun without shadecloth. If they weren't happy, they would not have arrived in great condition. The cost of posting plants is tied to the size so I'm afraid we can't send things in large pots and subsidize postage at the same time. We hope you understand.
