I recently engaged Elite Energies to design and install a Solar PV system at my home, and I can say with confidence that their performance was excellent from both a technical and project management perspective.
From the initial consultation and detailed site survey with James Goram, their approach was methodical and evidence based. They carried out a thorough assessment of roof orientation, pitch, shading factors, and electrical integration requirements before specifying a system appropriately matched to the property’s demand profile. This level of due diligence set them apart from other providers.
Importantly, Elite Energies were the only contractor I dealt with who was prepared to undertake the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS). As someone with extensive experience in construction safety and compliance, this was a critical factor. Their understanding of statutory obligations, risk assessments, and safe systems of work was clear throughout the project.
The installation phase was carried out to a very high standard. The roof installation crew demonstrated excellent competence in working at height, utilising a Mobile Elevated Work Platform, safe access, and disciplined work practices in place at all times. Fixings, panel alignment, and cable management were all completed with precision and in accordance with best practice.
The electrical installation was equally impressive. All works appeared to be completed in line with ETCI requirements, with neat cable routing, appropriate isolation, and a well-executed inverter and system setup. The overall finish reflects strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
The team adhered strictly to the agreed programme, mobilised on time, and completed the works efficiently without compromising on safety or quality. Housekeeping standards were exceptional throughout, with the property left clean and tidy at all times.

I contacted Elite Energies seeking a quotation for a roof-integrated solar PV system and asked standard questions around system size (kWp), battery capacity, inverter options and itemised costs so I could compare quotes across providers.
Rather than providing a quote or addressing the questions, the response was dismissive and suggested I look elsewhere. No figures, no recommendations, and no attempt to engage.
I’m now proceeding with other installers who were happy to provide clear, itemised quotes and answer basic sizing questions. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Elite Energies if you value transparency or professional communication at the enquiry stage.

We would like to say a big thank you to James and Graham from Elite Energies for doing a fantastic job installing our solar panels, battery, car charger and Eddi for heating our water. From start to finish, they were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped us understand the whole process.
When we noticed that our electricity bills weren’t as low as expected, they returned free of charge and installed six additional panels to improve the system's performance — something we were incredibly grateful for.
All the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We are really pleased with the results and would highly recommend Elite Energies to anyone considering solar.
