Embrace the experience

I attended the Elvis Evolution on 16th August. I found staff to be friendly, helpful and very approachable. The show itself was enjoyable and we certainly made the most of the experience. The actors and musicians were very engaging and interacted with the audience throughout.
A word of advice to anyone attending... If you turn up expecting to hate it, that's what you're going to do! It's up to you!! Embrace the experience, celebrate Elvis and make it a show to remember! It is what you make it!!
We had a lovely day singing, dancing and meeting like minded people.

I was very disappointed expecting there…

I was very disappointed expecting there to be more of a AI effect not just footage. There was nothing that gave the VIP treatment anything special get to go in first and get a free drink. The after party was awful with some lady killing the songs should have had an impersonator. You would expect Elvis music not Michael Jackson. When the band was not playing they should have played Elvis music. This was a 60th present and very disappointed the VIP TICKET not worth paying £180 waste of money. The trip through his life was just photos I saw more in Memphis again very disappointing no worth the time. Also as VIP you were expected to pay for food. The VIP gift bag was a brochure and poster (thought might at least get a T Shirt). If you want Elvis experience go to Memphis

Elvis Evolution - Very Disappointing

Absolute rubbish, if you are a die hard Elvis fan you will be very disappointed. You find out more about his life in the Elvis movie.
We paid £75 each, it’s only worth about £10 each or do not go at all

Waste if time and money

Booked this when it first became available and went on the 2nd of August so some 9+ months after booking so surprised to get an email 2 days before changing the time. Got in touch to say this wasn't suitable and it meant a later show and we already had a reservation for something after, response was tough it's changing no offer to change to another date or time or offer of a refund.
The performance itself is pretty poor lots of wasted time hanging around for something to happen and I have to say performers were pretty mediocre.
Service took so long in the bar at the interval that my party couldn't finish her drink in time.
The musicians in the live music made it harder to hear the recorded Elvis performance .
The after show party looked okay but we couldn't wait for that as the timing had been changed.
The customer service team when I contacted them after could not care less so my advise is don't waste your money on this

Great production and staff! 👏

I attended this today and can’t praise the staff and organisers enough!

I didn’t expect a hologram (and to be frank - I didn’t want one!). The show is immersive theatre, it’s not a 1 hologram concert and people need to understand that.

The actors were great, the staging and VFX were really well done and the plot was good. The Sam angle was great, I’m not sure why people say the show was only about him as that’s not the case - he is the narrator and it’s well done. My mother is partially sighted and once I flagged that to the staff, they were really attentive and helped us get her to positions where she could see as much as possible. Which was really appreciated.

We didn’t drink or eat at the bars, until the end where we had a cocktail and enjoyed some music from the DJ and band. It’s a nice environment.

While you won’t learn anything new about Elvis it’s a great celebration of him and his background. I’d strongly urge people to go in with an open mind and enjoy the show for what it is - a show.

Elvis was NOT in the Building

Well, Elvis didn’t even enter the building, let alone leave it!
We laughed but not at the humour more at the content, it was a joke. We do feel it was the Sam Bell story rather than the Elvis one. Long, drawn out, and we were still waiting for something to happen by the time we left. We were all bemused and not really sure what we saw but it definitely was not Elvis. The film was better by far. Very expensive for what it was, they didn’t even include a cocktail 🍸 in the price. So glad w e didn’t go VIP!! Don’t recommend it, sadly but luckily had good company.

Thoroughly enjoyed it

We went to Elvis Evolution today, 16th August, as it felt like something I wanted to do on a special day. I had no expectations or misconceptions of what we were going to see and therefore I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have read loads of reviews and decided to reserve judgement until my visit. I loved
it all. It was something totally different and, in my opinion, worth every penny. No, it's not going to please everyone, but go in with an open mind and make your own mind up.

Totally disappointed and would rather have walked out . Wasted money and no facts on Elvis life, a treat luckily by a family member, but advise everyone don’t bother. Who is Sam Bell? Was told elvis personal friend completely untrue.

A let down for our 40th Wedding Anniversary

We booked tickets for our 40th wedding anniversary. What a let down. When first advertised it stated a hologram Elvis for his Comeback show. We were on the mailing list as the date was delayed. We were never told that this had changed. Even advertised on tv. All we can say it wasn't worth the ticket price we paid of £180 VIP each. Not even worth the £75 which some people paid. The staff on the check in desk didn't know what they were doing. The actors, if you call them that, were wooden and couldn't understand them. The show wasn't much about Elvis but his so called friend. As if we needed to know!!
Quite boring and then the end of the show was really bad quality. In all such a waste of money and would not recommend this.
We have emailed for some kind of refund but customer services have refused.

Be prepared to stand

Considering many Elvis fans are like myself either in their sixties or older, seating for two of the three stages was very limited, the top ticket prices are £300, I believe you're entitled to a seat in all areas for that price, but in all honesty if I'd paid £600 for two tickets I'd be feeling ripped off..

One star because you can't give 0

We was one of the unfortunate people who booked this when they advertised it with elvis as a hollogram, despite pulling that idea we still went with an open mind. However this in no way was an immersive experience. It was more like a poor theatre production or school play. The actors did put there all into their performance but it just was not good, story very lacking in facts and all over the place. Uncomfortable, too crowded and really really boring! The finale (Elvis come back special) was awful, the screen showing it was such poor quality and the other screen was out of sync with the music. Seriously save yourself money and watch it at home! Such a shame as this could have been something so special but seems they are more interested in your money than the actual show itself.

Terrible, Elvis has been badly let down…

I went with an open mind having read the reviews, but my god you have let Elvis down. It is terrible and not worth the money….. gutted. And they have turned comments of on the Facebook page…. why if it’s so wonderful. Sorry to you that have got tickets and have got to endure it.

Go with an open mind

I’ve been to a few different Elvis events and have been to Graceland. I wasn’t sure what to expect and not full of hope for the Elvis Evolution Immersive experience having read some of the review, but keen to go during Elvis Week. However, I went into it open minded and came out really impressed.
The experience itself is a lovely story of Elvis as a child and how he evolved into this mega star from the point of view of a childhood friend, leading to the ‘68 comeback special. There isn’t a hologram, nor is one advertised and personally, I would rather see footage of Elvis than an impersonator plus the band were amazing, really enjoying themselves.
The diner and gift shop are limited on what they offer but good quality stuff.

Fabulous experience

Went here this week with friends . I absolutely loved it all and can’t agree with the negative reviews on any level .
It was a very well executed recreation of the 68 Comeback Special with you feeling part of the real audience of the time .
We ate in the diner beforehand . The staff, service and food were all really good. We had the nachos , very tasty and served promptly by a very pleasant waitress.
The story of Elvis ‘ rise to fame is told through the eyes of his friend , and is very well portrayed . We moved from the outer room which was a replica of the staff rest area of the time , through to a train mock-up with clever use of actors, digital footage and sound effects to tell the story of Elvis’ early life and rise to fame .
The next room replicated a 20 minute break in filming with a bar and film on screens around the room.
The next room was a replication of the Comeback itself , with a band on stage taking the part of the original band , and showed footage of Elvis. I really loved this part , singing and dancing along , as many others were.
The whole experience was fabulous and very moving in parts. It gave a real sense of the man and just how special he was .
You need to fully embrace the fact that’s it’s a recreation of the real thing . In my opinion a hologram would’ve spoiled it .
I loved every minute , and wished we could’ve stayed in the afternoon party room, but had to leave for another event .

I'm putting a positive post on against…

I'm putting a positive post on against all the negative ones.

We have attended the 5.30pm showing today and had a fantastic time.

The first part of the show where you look around a room of memorabilia and a bit of a theatrical show was a bit rubbish if I'm honest.

The second part of the show was an immersive train journey and whilst I thought the concept was good, with a moving stage, there should have been more focus on elvis.

The third part of the show, the comeback special was really good. Was it AI...no, was there hologram...ho, but the live band and footage of elvis did make it a good experience in my opinion.

The last part of the show was the after party and this was really good. The live band were fantastic and the dj in-between acts was fabulous too. We've spent 3 hours at the after party and all in all I've felt as though I've spent a lovely evening with a great atmosphere and lots of very happy people just enjoying it for what it was.

For those going dont be put off, go with an open mind and so long as you arent expecting an 'abba style' hologram event then you will still have a good time.

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful. I cannot believe just how bad it is. A few actors running about with daft accents and even dafter scripts. So bad that we left after the 'train" experience. Certainly did not resemble a train, more like church pews. We purchased tickets when this was being sold as an experience with Elvis holograms. As we could not get a refund, our group of 6 decided that we would just have a giggle and make the best of the experience. It was actually so bad that we couldn't even giggle. I feel for anyone who has already purchased tickets, personally I would put it down to a bad experience and save your time and fare money. For anyone thinking of buying tickets... don't!

Balanced and honest view

So I am writing this review more for the benefit of the staff we met at the show than anything else. Pretty much everybody we met were trying their best to keep "the show must go on" front and centre....but you could see (and we spoke with a couple who agreed) that they felt as betrayed and let down by the organisers of this event as the majority of customers did. The actors and band were excellent, and if the show had been correctly marketed and sold then I think they would be looking at a lot more positive reviews for their creative efforts and talent. It's just not fair for an organiser to put people in this position and leave them to pick up the pieces and deal with the angry, and sometimes physically agressive mob that results.
We first booked tickets waaaay back when it was on sale, and at this point it was billed as a " hologramatic experience like no other" or words to that effect. Now I am not a huge Elvis fan but my 82 year old mother is and the thought of being able to see this was impossible for her to resist, so she asked me to book two VIP tickets (£180 each) and for me to take her down there which of course I was thrilled to be able to do.
First of all the event was delayed on a couple of occasions - these things happen of course- and during this time my mother became very ill, however thankfully she was still around and was really looking forward to the event finally happening in the summer of this year. I am not exaggerating to say that I think the fact she had this to look forward to actually really helped her through some really tough and dark times during 2024 and early 2025. Mum is still here I am pleased to say but remains really upset and annoyed at how she has been taken advantage of.
The main problem I have with the whole debacle is that it was NEVER made clear to us that anything had changed from the first ticket release and the point at which we paid for the VIP tickets. I have seen people suggesting that it was in fact stated but this is not my view on it, and if the organisers had decided to clearly point this out it would have meant people's expectations of what they had purchased would have been much more aligned to what was delivered this year. I can only assume that the organisers chose not to do this assuming that at this point a lot of people would have asked for their money back and the event would have either had to be cancelled altogether or would have had a large hole to fill.
When the event was delayed we were basically just asked to re-book for one of the future dates and nothing about any changes to the planned composition of the event was provided.
This decision is ultimately what has led to my mothers, my and an awful lot of other peoples anger at the way they have been misled and deceived.
Sadly I have little or no (actually none) faith in the legal or consumer protection system in this country being able to right this wrong. Unfortunately like with insurance claims and a lot of crime the victims are led a merry dance with almost zero chance of the perpetrators ever being held to account.

Would I (or my mother) have bought tickets to this event? Probably yes. Would she have paid £180 for VIP tickets. Probably not, as the value was justifiable only if the technology and promises had been upheld. I also agreed that the difference between VIP and standard did not warrant the additional cost of the higher tier tickets. Everyone is basically herded around together and you just get some separate seating areas in some locations and an extra drink or two inclusive.
All in all I think the organisers should be ashamed and if they had a moral compass would offer to do something about this..... but of course we all know this will never happen and I am sure they will be left in business to possibly carry out something similar again in the future. I for one will never visit anything else marketed by Layered Reality....or anything backed by Mr McGuinness and I would encourage anyone else to do the same.
To the actors and staff - I tip my hat to you. In the face of all of the above you kept smiling and made the best of it. I hope your future efforts receive the accolades and appreciation that you were robbed of at EE.

Utter rubbish..

We bought tickets as soon as they came on sale advertising AI and hologram. As soon as we found out that they had changed the show, we tried for a refund was refused. They’ve have started changing their adverts to the immersive walk through with very little information about what to expect. I have never been so mis sold something so badly before. This is complete rubbish and we feel so ripped off especially with the VIP. DO NOT waste your money on this. Oh, there is an Elvis card board cut out that you can have a photo next to. 😡😡
