Emerald Cruises UK Avis 

We have done a number of Emerald cruises and have found them consistently very good. We enjoy the well trained and efficient staff and the general level of attention paid to ensuring a good experience for all on board. Food, level of cleanliness of very high standard. It is lovely to be able to unpack and enjoy the days thereafter seeing new places without effort. We've always had great fun with the people we've met.

The ship Sakhara is beautiful, like an oligarch's yacht.
The interior is absolutely amazing. Fabulous lounge and bar, three fabulous dining areas, and the rooms are so spacious and very thoughtfully furnished, lots of window with door out to private deck
Only 100 guests and you meet them all during the time you're on the ship or on one of the tours ashore.
Food is all fantastic

Lovely friendly ship as usual with happy friendly staff.

Staff were excellent, without exception. Room very nice and well kept by our lovely steward Raymond. Food was disappointing overall. As a vegetarian I found the choice limited. On two evenings on a 12-night cruise the main offering was repeated. It wasn’t nice the first time, never mind the second! Drinks were oddly flavoured sometimes, cocktails particularly. Itinerary was missing something too, not quite what the promotional stuff had implied. Only one marina opportunity- when it was cold and raining too! Ports chosen for mooring very poor overall. More often than not in a very working industrial area with a less-than-appetizing outlook , not conducive to appealing cycling or a lovely view from the balcony.

1st river cruise and we've already booked our next one. Very well organised.

Efficient operations, friendly staff, clean cabins & public areas, good food & wine, exceptional tour guides, great value. Hand rails & public toilets could be cleaned more often.

The Staff very attentive , the food good and varied. Crewe and staff made you feel special. I have travelled with Emerald three times this year . Have booked another two for next year.

Everyone on extension & ship was very helpful

A lovely cruise with great scenery and outings. Only problem was very noisy with large parties travelling together and monopolising the lounges and rest areas. With several different languages competing against each other it was unbearable at times. Although reported to staff nothing changed.

Great cruise , exceptional crew , service and ambiance.
Definitely will book again . Great port calls with knowledgeable crew and excursions.

Jewels of The Rhine .First ever cruise, hopefully not the last. If I was a secret assessor I would report, PERFECTION.Embarkation n Disembarkation flawless.
Ship immaculate, staff respectful, efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.Special thanks to Nina, James and Alex, they worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was looked after.
Food was like Masterchef every day. Tours were excellent and entertainment was wonderful, specially the concert in the Palace-Schloss Brushal.
Unfortunately due to my becoming ill on the second last day we got distracted and missed the opportunity to to buy vouchers for another cruise so will have to be on bread n dripping for next twelve months in order to try n save for another trip 😢

Excellent reception on board. Room comfortable and well serviced. Food great. Wine plentiful. Service second to none. Tour guides great, with stunning city tours.

First class booking arrangements, staff and all services on board could not be faulted. All staff were very professional but were also genuinely caring and friendly.
Tours were well organised and at all times you always knew what was planned. The ship was immaculate, food choices incredible for a small ship and wine well chosen. Local entertainment was excellent and in house quizzes, party were great fun.
This trip with Emerald couldn't have been any better.

A cruise down the Danube on the Emerald Luna was fantastic. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Food is exquisite and accompanied by endless quality wine(s). Included excursions are the best I have experienced in any cruise. Would absolutely recommend Emerald Cruises.

Greatly enjoyed our 2 week cruise on Azzurra from Venice to Athens, particularly visiting smaller ports in Croatia. Our suite was very comfortable, all the crew were amazing, being helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. However, we were disappointed with the food, it simply didn’t excite us either from the choices on the menus or in actual taste, hence 4 rather than 5 stars.

We cruised the Rhine with Emerald on the Emerald Destiny from the 18th to25th October 2025. The week was very enjoyable due to the efforts of all of the crew from the top to the bottom of the vessel.
Our cabin was kept spotless as were the public areas. The meals were varied and delicious and we were ably served by cheerful and enthusiastic waiting and bar staff.
I have already booked our next cruise based on our enjoyment of this experience
