Ordered two Papi of shoes. One fits Perfect, is comfortable. The other one not so Perfect for my feet - but Empress offered a good Solution

This was my 5th pair of square toed empress flats. Buy the black flats. I swear. It's "that" pair of flats you've been searching for your entire life. Then come back and buy a pair in a fun color because... you can. Then buy a pair that matches your suit and give up your heels because they are dumb. I just love these shoes. (and they don't pay me or give me free shoes to say that. I have bought every single pair of those!)

shipping was fast and reliable as always. the only thing about the shoes I ordered I did not love was the ties and how they pressed into the foot. the shoes are marvelously soft and comfortable other than that tie.

Excellent customer service and communication. Very comfortable and great colours but would love to see orange or mustard colour patent leather as well. Beautifully packaged and speedy delivery. Have already bought 3 pairs and will possibly purchase more. Very customer focused. Great work guys.

I love my Empress Shoes. They are the only ones that don't make my feet hurt. I ruined my feet by running 2 hours a day and now it's difficult to walk. Whenever I have to go somewhere I make sure I am wearing my Empress Shoes. Even better, they are cute.

Got my first pair on time! No delay at all

For me the shoes are expensive and I only buy on sale - and even then, I really think about it. One thing I would suggest is that perhaps Empress needs to be more forthright in warning or reminding prospective purchasers that IF they intend to replace the Empress insole with their own orthotic, to remember that the shoes are flexible in part as there is not much depth in the actual shoes. I have had several pairs that I cannot wear, and returning is NOT what I do well ... well, not at all, and so I have wasted my limited money I allocate for clothes.

Really disappointed in these shoes. I have wide feet, and had targeted ads spamming my social media saying these flats were made for wide feet. ...they are not. They are also too short- I measured carefully according to their instructions, and sized up one size. Turns out I should have gone two. Because I live in Canada, I'd have to pay for returns, even if I was exchanging. They did offer a 75% refund in lieu of an exchange so I took that, since they couldn't tell me if a larger size would be any wider... but now I've still paid $50 for shoes that are too small. They should really publish more information about the width, adjust their sizing chart, and make exchanges free!
(Also: Is it really an Australian company? There are some big made-in-China vibes. ...starting with the fact that the very slow shipping originated from China.)

Update: 1/7/25: I wore the shoes to walk around and it seems like the second shoe inserts are too big for me and when I walk the shoes comes off. So I’m not sure if is an insert issue or the shoe itself but the shoe is beautiful. I had to insert the original shoe-insert and it seems more confortable for me and the shoe doesn’t come-off.
