Recommend everyone check their final bill before paying it and transferring to a new supplier. After weeks chasing them and having to resort to emails because they don't answer the 'phone, or sections of their website have been closed off, I cancelled my Direct Debit Mandate to attract their attention, and my final bill arrived and was so wrong it was almost twice what it should have been. They used the wrong meter readings and increased the standing charges on both gas and electricity. Whilst I'm sorry for those who are losing their jobs, no-one seems to be manning the office or checking that whoever may be left there is working with the correct information. Hardly surprising that the company has lost millions - so inefficient!
Rubbish... You're much better off with a bigger company, like Bulb. Worst bit about Robin Hood Energy is their propensity to bury their heads in the sand when there's a problem like mine, which is: I AM NOT THEIR CUSTOMER, yet they still send me bills, threaten me with debt collectors.
The only thing I do with their bills now, is pass them to my solicitor.
Not surprised to read so many negative reviews, after some confusion over my bills they sent a meter reader to my home whilst i was isolating due to C19. He had no mask and presumably had been into several other houses before mine. Customer services were arrogant and unrepentant when i complained.
Unprofessional and inefficient, insolvency was the only logical outcome for this bunch of cowboys.
Lied to me didnt have knowledge of meters. doesn't pick up the phone.
Made account out without my permission and knowledge.
Then fails to tell the TMA that im not a customer anymore and send engineer out.
The worse company I have ever had to deal with for over 4 months they still haven’t sorted my payment reference number they say they will call back and sort it and I receive no phone call
I then try to call and am on hold for up to an hour or more ! Jus to try and get electricity to my home
They have no care towards customers and really don’t care about the issues you are dealing with
Honestly the worse company out there
Wish there was a 0 star. Absolutely appalling excuse of a company and the customer service team are a laughing stock and a bunch of clowns. I’ve seen Chimps on T.V with higher IQ levels. Moved in over 2 weeks ago to get the debt that was owed from the previous tenants. They’ve had me running around in circles trying to just get the Gas supplies to the house. I have a pregnant partner and another child. It’s very cold and inhabitable due to this. They keep pushing the blame onto everyone else rather than growing a pair and taking the blame for their actions. Disgusted at how this company has gone on for so long. I’ll be having an extra large Whiskey when this company goes down the pan and British Gas fully takes over. Every time I mention about changing supplier they get an attitude and start shouting at you and shout very slowly as though they were teaching a 2 year old a long word. Their job ain’t exactly rocket science. It’s a call centre. Bunch of clowns. If you’re thinking of changing your supplier to these, I’d reconsider. I’d rather Scottish Power and that’s saying something.......
Trying to get in touch with this company and actually speak to a person is ridiculous. I’m a new customer moving into a house supplied by them and can’t get in touch with them for love nor money! So I attempted to change supplier to a company that actually answered the phone and they blocked it lol
I have consistently had issues with Robinhood Energy. From the moment I moved in, there was debt on the meters from the previous tenants, it took months of me continuously ringing and about 4 sets of cards being sent out for this to eventually be resolved. All the while I was paying for the previous tenants debt in winter while on a low income.
More recently I have been ringing for over a month to have the credit I had on the meters, contributed back to myself. I have been told three different timescales for this to occur. Today I have also been told that I now all of a sudden owe almost £90. I was given some very vague answers to the questions I asked about this issue after pointing out that from what the employee had disclosed to me this bill continued to make no sense whatsoever. This is still yet to be resolved.
I have continued to receive very poor customer service throughout with these issues. I most certainly would not ever recommend this provider unless you enjoy having to ring up constantly, and still not be provided with what you have requested, or receive any answers. If you like adding extra complications to your life that consume your time and still have the issues unresolved, then this is the provider for you.
Regretfully it isn't possible to leave a zero start rating.
As an update, I have now realised that the debt from the previous tenant has not been wiped as it should have been when I moved in and spent all that time calling up, and instead has been placed on my account. Not only that but they are now trying to say they only own me £2.31 as opposed to the almost £10 when I rang up the day I moved to give my last meter reading. Hhhmmmm just a bit dodgy.
They charging me too much money and I try to explain this not my the right bill I try to do that more than 4 months trying to explain this is not correct money on my bill but no one need helping me
In two years I needed to contact customer service twice and they have always been very nice and efficient.
The first time my electricity meter went blank and they arranged a visit from one of their engineers to come and replace the electricity meter, answering my questions and being very kind. Everything was sorted out within one week and I didn't have any problems with electricity in the meantime.
The second time I made a mistake topping up the electricity and they quickly replied and fixed my mistake. Can't complain at all.
I am so disappointed that my Robin Hood account supply is to be transferred to Brutish Gas. I have been with Robin Hood fir approx. 3 years. I have a smart meter and PAYGo account. I have an easy to use on line account to pay no having to go to pay points. It has been so easy and I have bee very happy now they are selling. That is all going to change. I just want it to stay as it is.
Robin hood energy has sent me electricity bill for a person who does not live here in fox end flat 5 and to quote the bill is for .£1457.52p which I'm not f🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬g. Paying.so you can B🤬🤬lls to your bill
Best news ever
They have gone and we will all be British Gas Customers
Update on my request for statements
On the 30/08/20 was told there was a problem but they were now on their way to me
Still waiting
From November 2017 to February 2019 they say I used about £6,000 in Gad and Electric BUT will not send me Statements
Even though we have Smart Meters the above is an estimate of our usage
Until we went to PAYG in February 2019 our bills were estimated!!!!!
Considering taking legal action against Robin Hood energy as I feel that they have preyed on me as a disabled customer. I have begged them to help me more as I have ADHD and cannot manage my spending and I have asked for reasonable adjustments which they have ignored and refused to put me on fuel direct and im now im a huge amount of debt with them and now because of the debt I cant leave them so im just amassing hundreds more in debt and getting no help to sort it out.
Can never get onto my online account and whenever I try speaking to someone I can never get through to anybody. My money I top up doesn't go onto my account until I ring up and they have to put the money on from their side. Absolute disgrace.
Alike a lot of companies out there, what an absolute nightmare to deal with
I switch from EDF after reading that my local council was praising this company as secure and reliable. Have been with them for 3 moths only and they just told me they are selling me to British Gas. I am furious. Do these small companies start up then when they attract enough customers just sell to bigger companies pocketing a hefty profit? We should be told.
I paid my quarterly bill by card and then got my bank statement to find that they had taken another payment without my authorisation!! Spoke to ‘customer services’ and was told they’d refund my money within a few days - oh ok then don’t worry that by trying to steal my money they’ve tripped me into my overdraft and I’ll now have to pay interest - definitely not Robin Hood’s ideals of take from the rich and give to the poor!!
Dreadful customer service. I have used their contact form several times and have not received even the courtesy of acknowledgement never mind a reply or answer to the points I raised. A complaint of mine was closed by the company without dealing adequately with the complaints I raised. Now that they are going out of business God only knows how my switch request will go!!
2 month of being with them was charged 1000 pounds for electricity when I phone up they said it was like a year worth in 2 months then asked me if I was growing a canbis farm in my loft what a way to talk switching energy supplies took 2 weeks to change checky what a way to talk to people
