ERS doesn’t have a fault fixing process
From the start communication was a bit of an issue and the installation ended up happening when I was on Holiday. I wouldn’t have been my choice, but on the whole that part went well and they left a neat and tidy job. The problems started about 5 months later. After Wales got battered by the storms I noticed that one of the solar panels had come off the rails and had flipped over. I have a ground mounted system so was able to strap the panels down. 2 clips that hold the panels down were missing and after I checked the installation photos I noticed they had never been added. I put this down to an easy mistake to make, I realise that this could have grave consequences had the panel come off a roof. I contact Energy Renewable Solutions who said they would come out after the Christmas break, but sent me the missing clips at my request. As Christmas was only a week away I was happy, However, after chasing a few times, by May no one had come out and I emailed every email I had to get a response, they apologised and someone came out. I would have expected better from such a large order. I also have an 11KW system that has never gotten more than 8.8KW dispite facing south.
In July one of my Tesla batteries started tripping a fuse when charging. I contact Energy Renewable Solutions who contacted Tesla. This was nearly 7 weeks ago and the only thing that has happened is that Tesla have turned down my maximum input amount so that I can’t charge my home battery at the same time as my car meaning that I can’t take full advantage of the cheep electricity I could get at night. In the last 7 weeks no one has been out, the only contact I get is when I chase, making me feel like a pest, After the 5 month wait for someone to check the panels after their mistake clipping them down, I have no confidence that it’s being given the full attention it deserves. Energy Renewable Solutions are blaming Tesla and it may be Tesla’s fault, but if someone at Energy Renewable Solutions were to keep regular contact with me with updates etc, without me having to chase, I would probably feel better valued and trust that they are trying to sort it out.
