Environ Pest Control is the best in their field, as a nursery we need effectiveness immediately and a personal service. We have contracted Environ now since 2010 when we had a pigeon issue in the church tower, they came immediately no messing sealed the tower and removed all the live and dead carcasses. Since then 12 years later the tower is still sealed and no pigeon has entered.

At that same time the church (our landlords had a contract with Crystal for the mice issues). They were absolutely rubbish and literally came laid poison no due regard for us being a nursery. I spoke to the guys at Environ and negotiated a monthly contract and since then they have been our guardian angels. For any pest issue they are here, they even have Hawks!! but that's another story. :) Mice under control since 2010.

Now again we have had to call them this time for flies, they came immediately found the issue and gave us the solution, just as you would expect from a professional company.

Here's the thing, they can do what they do and they are right up there with their subject knowledge but you MUST take their recommendations however pricey they are. If you don't you can't complain!!! Pest control is EXPENSIVE but it is absolutely NECESSARY. .....and I get that companies upsell take advantage of other businesses and people, but I vouch for this company they are the real deal and we have followed all advice given to us. These guys don't just hire anyone, I have yet to have a negative experience with their site inspectors which if I did I wouldn't hesitate to report them as I know they would want to know.

Today we had Shaan, this guy was amazing straight to the issue and straight to the solution, he was lovely, understanding, thorough like you wouldn't believe and so knowledgeable. After his visit today, it reminded me that I must give The Environ team a well-deserved review.

I used Environ for a rat problem that I had under my floors (converted Victorian 1-bed garden flat) on the basis their pricier service was thorough, environmentally friendly and innovative. As per website marketing and sales call discussion, I expected a full investigation (including lifting floorboards to access [and, advised by the sales team, I was willing to pay the additional fee if access points needed to be cut]) using UV-light tracking powder and thorough inspection of ALL problem areas, followed up by treatment using traps and - one of the main reasons I selected them - the jack russell.

Two stars is provided because the service technician who attended was professional, knowledgeable, on time and extremely helpful with some good advice. He also attended all 3 visits which helped as I didn’t need to re-explain each visit. That’s where the good review ends I’m afraid.

Serious issues faced:
1. Office-Field communication: The office had not advised the technician of the need to access under floorboards where there was not already an access point. The technician was not aware of this, did not have the equipment needed and advised this was not something they do, conflicting with info from sales team. Floorboards were raised in one location with an existing access hatch.
2. Method not as indicated: No tracking powder was ever used to identify routes/entry points - even after confirming this with customer service before the second visit. There is clearly poor communication between the office and the field teams as these inconsistencies recurred. For treatment, only traps were laid and no dog offered [this was explained later by the owner that a dog is only sometimes used to identify location of rats, not to catch them - fair enough but should be made clearer on website].
3. Incomprehensible report: A drain survey to inspect for possible entry points was advised and I went ahead, paying in advance. The drain team were professional [on the day]. However, the resulting report was incomprehensible and technical, with no overall drain plan to map where problems were identified nor was this properly explained to me despite repeated requests. The drainage engineer never called to discuss despite repeated requests. Also, alternate drain company identified one pipe blocked by steel wool and another “dead” pipe with a hole, neither shown on Environ report. This calls into question the thoroughness of the drain inspection that Environ had conducted.
4. Pricey: The quote for remediation works came close to £6000 - at least 3 times the cost quoted by quality competitors. The prices charged for materials - manhole covers and rat valves - is ridiculously high. £2600+VAT for 5 rat valves and £650+VAT for a stainless steel manhole cover - materials only. When I called to discuss prices and options, a £180 discount was offered, with the 5yr guarantee used to justify (as offered by competitors). I politely declined and went elsewhere.

After posting a review on another site, I got a call from the owner of the company which I really appreciated. I was kindly offered a refund for the pest control fee (not drain survey), which I am grateful for, although I would have preferred my outstanding questions answered and rat issues resolved. 6 months later I still have a rat issue despite all recommended actions being taken (albeit I engaged another company to do so).

Overall very dissatisfied with Environ services. They are expensive, don’t deliver on what they promise for the premium price, and their customer service isn't great as they don’t follow through. I would not use them again nor recommend them to others.

I got a 15-20 minute oral 'survey' of my property (internal & external) to advise on how mice might be entering my property. As an advertised 'pest control company' I assumed 'WRONGLY' that this would also include a follow up offer to actually help eradicate the mice or written report of the oral conversation but 'NO'. I literally paid for a short conversation, moving from house to garden to hear about where the mice might be entering the premises. Nearly ALL of this was common knowledge to all. This man offered no real insight, no written survey that I might act upon and certainly no offer or ideas on how to remove a rodent. A total waste of time and money for a quick, conversation (oral survey) much like I might have with any semi-interested layman.
