I ordered a precor amt 885, when they delivered they sent the wrong machine but spoke to them at the time and they where very helpful and got the correct item dispatched and delivered within days of the mistake. When it arrived the power cable was damaged but once again they sent out a new one which arrived the next day. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the customer service was amazing. The item itself has a bit more wear on it than expected but works perfectly and I am extremely happy with my purchase. 5 stars for price and customer service.

Extremely Disappointing
Extremely Disappointing – Avoid Equip4Gyms
We placed a large order with Equip4Gyms to fully kit out our brand-new gym, spending tens of thousands of pounds. The order included multiple machines and was placed months in advance—at the recommendation of Josh in sales—to ensure everything would arrive on time. We paid in full upfront, with the promise that equipment would be stored by them as it arrived until we were ready for delivery.
About a month before our grand opening, we contacted them to arrange delivery. Since then, it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Equipment started arriving in dribs and drabs, often not what we ordered, and some of it turned up with scuffs and scratches. Despite that, we were willing to overlook the cosmetic damage just to get the gym operational in time.
Now, a full week after opening, we are still missing three machines—worth over £5,000. Multiple promises have been made and broken. I was assured I’d receive a refund—never got it. I was told the manager would call—never happened. And now? They’re completely ignoring me. No updates, no resolution, no accountability.
The customer service has been appalling throughout. I've been fed excuse after excuse, and now it’s clear I’ve been lied to. For a company that claims to support fitness professionals, their lack of professionalism and transparency is staggering.
I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. This experience has caused huge stress, unnecessary delays, and financial loss during what should have been an exciting time launching a new business.

Wow, if I could rate this company 0 stars I would. Please save yourself the hassle and DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ‘COMPANY’ We had an item delivered in October after several delays. Item arrived damaged and by the time it was delivered, the price had been discounted by almost half online. Contacted them and they agreed to match the price online due to the delays and damage to the product. No problems, great. We took out a finance plan to cover the cost of the item (which we started paying before the item even arrived) and I was assured via phone and email that they would contact the finance company and ensure that the finance price would me adjusted to match what was agreed. Fast forward to now… the balance was covered months ago, but the payments are still being taken to the amount of £700 in overpayments. I have contacted via email and phone and getting absolutely nowhere. Have now sought advice from the Citizens advice service and the financial ombudsman. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Pleased with the price BUT
Pleased with the price, but leg ext and leg curl were not heavy stacks as stated (100kg). Also bar didn’t come with the Lat Pulldown as pictured and the accessories didn’t come with the DAP as pictured. These are Technogym, so pricey online c£300+ second hand) to get hold of. Had to service the equipment myself as numerous issues. DAP also still has one side not on as they lost the specialist screws/attachments on transit. Had called numerous times but you just get fobbed off with there ordered or sent and nothing ever arrives. Beware you will have to constantly chase and badger for delivery dates etc

Do not buy anything through them you will never get the product or see your money again!
I ordered a matrix treadmill back in Feb it never arrived despite saying 5-7 days on purchase. We are now 3 months on and I was fobbed off for first month saying the gym they were getting it from was closing and it was taking longer. One month went to two so then I asked for a refund as I actually need the treadmill for my chronically ill child for rehab. Each time I speak to them they say it’s being processed and it never materialises. Looking at other reviews this is not the first time it seems to be common practice. Avoid avoid avoid.

Absolute shambles of a company!
How on earth they have a 4.5* score is beyond me! The score was a lot lower than that recently, but they "randomly" had five 1 line, 5 star reviews yesterday, that all read like an advertising line... what are the chances of that?
I've probably spent as much time emailing them for support (or any kind of reply) as I have spent on the treadmill!
Ordered a curve treadmill in Nov 23 for delivery in Feb 24. Had a few issues and, in fairness, they had an engineer come and fix the first issue. But the display was then out of sync. They were unsure how to resolve this, so they decided to swap the trademill for a different one. That was done on 19th March, so I could finally use it.
Since then it has had limited use, due to injury, but was working well and I was happy with it.
In Feb this year, I started using it again for injury recovery. I was walking on it and using the sled push resistance function. All was fine for about a week or so, but then it started making the same "grinding" noise that I had with the first faulty treadmill. Along with the noise it has constant resistance/rubbing.
There have been 51 emails between me and them since then until now (12th May!). About 6 or 7 of those emails were lost in my Spam folder, but of the rest of them, 30+ are me chasing them for some kind of reply. I also phoned 3 times (phoned more than that but only got to speak to someone 3 times). Most of my interactions have been with Chris and Josh, who seem to be trying their best but it sounds like "their hands are tied" by people above them.
So through most of these emails, they have accepted there is an issue and it is under warranty. They cant suss a fix without seeing it, so have asked for me to return it, or they will get someone out to fix it. They even suggested "the manufacturer is currently not accepting liability for the issue. Their position is that the problem has arisen due to improper use of the machine." - walking and sled pushing!!
ABSOLUTE JOKE!
So my options were to
- totally dismantle the thing so I can get it packed onto a pallet for them to collect.
- Then they would have to reassemble and fix it, then dismantle it again, to ship it back to me.
- Then I would have to reassemble it and hope it was back to normal again!!
Mind blowing "customer service".
Alternatively, they will get an engineer to me....in 6-8 WEEKS!!!
I am 2 hours away from them and their engineers (who have all been good) previously told me they're up this way regularly and go all over the country.
So, I am sitting here waiting 6-8 weeks, on top of the 8 weeks I have ALREADY waited since raising the issue.
That's nearly a third of the year that the treadmill is UNUSEABLE because they choose to ignore my requests, deny responsibility and hope I will go away.
This is totally unacceptable to me, so I'm trying to take action into my own hands.
I feel like my only option is to have a go at fixing it myself, so have asked them to send me an assembly and instruction manual - as they dont provide these when they deliver. Yet again - radio silence from Dom, the Director, after I requested this 3 weeks ago!
I'd imagine one of their guys will be able to fix this issue in considerably less time, than the amount of time I have wasted emailing and phoning them to try to get them to fix it.
Like I say, its a total shambles of a company. Yet they have the audactity to call them selves the "UKs leading Fitness and Gym Equipment Supplier". I cant respond to that without swearing.
I wish I'd paid a few hundred £ more to buy from a different supplier, with a proven customer service operation.

As some people on here mentioned before me - AVOID.
They're happily going to take your money - in my case they haven't delivered anything in return.
Some reviews on Google are suspiciously schematic.
Edit 1 - got refunded on 10/06/25 after requesting it on 23/04/25 - was promised 3-5 days.
They also flagged my review as defamatory. If you take a look at the one star reviews - and the replies they give - it is always someone else's fault.
Edit 2 - got flagged the second time and as long as the review is flagged it will stay hidden, another good strategy to deal with it I guess. Just keep flagging it so it never appears.

AVOID! They are crooks.
I bought a machine from them, which was delivered broken, this was returned, however they have not refunded me at all despite claiming they will. It has been well over a month now since the item was returned and their team simply palms me off. Do not buy from this company.

This is a super easy review. I wanted to try before buying so did some research & found Equip 4 gyms who are based in Llanelli, Wales.
Upon arrival, I met Josh. Not only do they have a warehouse with hundreds of gym quality exercise machines, but also their customer service is really helpful & their machines are excellent value; forget Argos! Thank you Josh

Avoid This Company – Unreliable and Poor Customer Service
I’ve had two terrible experiences with this company. Firstly, last year I ordered 3 matrix t7xi treadmills that cost £2700, they were never delivered despite multiple follow-ups. After weeks of waiting, I had to chase them constantly just to get updates, their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful. In the end up I requested a refund.
To make matters worse, getting a refund was a nightmare. They delayed the process, ignored my emails, and made it as difficult as possible to get my money back. After far too much hassle, I finally received a refund and was left a £100 short, which had to chase them for and again had difficulty receiving but eventually got.
I then left a negative trustpilot review about the experience and dom reached out asking me to take the review down and said they would fix the issue. I agreed and he gave me a good price on another machine as I had in the meantime sourced treadmills elsewhere.
I went ahead and ordered a life fitness assisted chin & chip at a cost of £600 and the exact same thing happened. Machine was apparently sent on jan 17th and never arrived in the promised 3 - 10 business days, its now march so las week I requested a refund and after alot of back and forth and eventually having to threaten going to trading standards did I receive a refund.
Also something to note after some research online equip4gyms the company was dissolved in october 2020 and each time I was billed from a different company one being "trainhyve" and another "llanallei performance centre".
Also the majority of positive reviews you see on here and on google reviews regarding this company are paid for and written by bots!
A company selling gym equipment should be reliable and trustworthy, but unfortunately, this one is neither. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experiences with Equip4Gyms, a company I once held in high regard. Unfortunately, the last two orders have severely impacted my opinion.
While I’ve had positive experiences in the past, my recent interactions have been marred by significant issues, including:
1. Delivery Problems (First Order)
My first order was fraught with problems, primarily due to poor communication and delivery issues. A machine, which I had swapped out from my original order, randomly showed up before the rest of the items, despite being told I would receive an update. There was no communication or notification beforehand—it just arrived out of the blue. Thankfully, I was at my gym and managed to arrange for it to be brought in.
For the rest of the equipment, I took an entire day off work for the "scheduled delivery." I was repeatedly told the delivery company would call me with a time, but later that day, I was informed by the delivery company that no arrangements had even been made. They then tried to schedule the delivery themselves. Frustrated, I requested a refund. The process to receive the refund was excruciatingly slow, so I had to involve PayPal to expedite it. Fortunately, I eventually got my money back.
Following this, the owner of Equip4Gyms reached out with an apology and an offer of compensation, which I accepted, hopeful that my next experience would be better.
2. Faulty Equipment and Poor Customer Service (Second Order)
A few months later, despite the previous setbacks, I decided to purchase a treadmill from Equip4Gyms. Unfortunately, the treadmill was defective upon arrival. Resolving this issue has been incredibly frustrating due to the company's poor customer service. I received little communication regarding repair or replacement schedules, with promises of updates that never came. After a prolonged period of waiting, the team eventually collected the treadmill, and I received a refund.
Overall, my experience with Equip4Gyms has been extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, poor delivery coordination, and subpar customer service have left me with no desire to continue doing business with them. I hope this review helps others avoid the issues I’ve encountered.

The customer service is shocking. They don’t answer the phone for days. When they eventually do answer the phone, they promise to call back and don’t. Honestly, please go somewhere else for your gym equipment.

What they advertise is not what they have in stock, they don’t answer any emails and only seldom calls.
On 02/12 I bought a Matrix Fitness Connexus Perimeter. The picture and description showed various attachments (TRX, bands and a boxing bag).
It took close to 10 calls chasing where the item was and when they picked up the phone, they fobbed me off (we'll check with the warehouse, the warehouse manager is out for lunch, he is gone for the day, we will send you an email of confirmation, the items will be on the van today etc.).
Then on the 18/12 someone called back to tell me that the product had no attachment unlike what was advertised.
I asked for a refund that was “given” to the me the same day but that email didn't create any actual refund.
I had to escalate the matter to Paypal (always protect yourself by using Paypal on top of your debit/credit card btw) and finally got a full refund on 13/01!
