Very disappointing after-sales service – twice
Unfortunately, I’ve had two very negative experiences with Euronics, both involving faulty products and the way warranty issues were handled.
A few years ago, I bought a Lenovo Legion gaming laptop that had problems from the very beginning. I immediately reported the issue and was told it would be repaired. After around 14 days, I received the laptop back, but the problem was still there. Despite being a gaming laptop, it struggled to run even a game such as Age of Empires properly.
When I asked for a replacement or refund, I was told that this was no longer possible because 14 days had passed – even though a significant part of that time was spent waiting for their own repair process. The laptop was sent to service again, only for me to be told that there was supposedly nothing wrong with it.
Unfortunately, I have now experienced a very similar situation again.
I purchased a No Frost freezer/fridge, and its fan keeps freezing up, making the appliance unusable. I contacted Euronics and was told that a repair technician would be sent. The technician never arrived. I contacted them again and asked for a refund, but once again I was told that a refund was not possible because more than 14 days had passed and that I simply had to wait for the technician.
At this point, I have been without a properly functioning fridge/freezer for more than a week while waiting for a repair that has still not happened.
I understand that electronic appliances can occasionally be defective. What I find unacceptable is how these situations have been handled. On two separate occasions, years apart, I purchased faulty products and was left dealing with lengthy repair processes instead of receiving a practical and timely solution.
Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend Euronics when it comes to after-sales service and warranty handling. Selling a product is only half of good customer service – how a company treats customers when something goes wrong is just as important.
