Well like many of you o thought…

Well like many of you o thought EverBank was a good bet high apy and for kind of local the problem starts when I Zelle my mom and wife money lucky for me I changed my direct deposit before they froze my account for a review that takes a minimum 3 day and could take a week or more with no access to your account this is criminal especially living pay check to pay check

I would give Everbank a zero if it was a choice

I would give Everbank a zero if it was available.
My account was hacked on January 19th. I lost over $2000. I tried calling Everbank the day my account was hacked but there were not any staff on other than the credit card fraud person. He tried to get a hold of someone in the anti fraud department but he was unable to find anyone. When I call Everbank to attempt to recover my money, they give me the run around, claim they are working on it but almost 2 months later, I have only a couple hundred dollars has been credited. I filed a complaint with the CFPB and got a response from their customer care team. She claimed the investigation was completed and my money was returned on March 11- it has not been settled and I have not been credited to my account. They locked my savings account on me and when I called them, the employees claimed my account wasn’t locked but that was also a lie.
Everbank is a clown show, I can not recommend them.

Bait and Switch

There are a lot of positive features to Everbank accounts. However, Consumers should be aware that they advertise enticing interest rates to new customers to get you in the door but after you are an established customer, they reduce the interest rate on your savings account while continuing to entice new customers with a higher rate. I thought this was called “bait and switch” and was illegal. Established customers are not valued as highly as new customers at Everbank.

Website SUCKS

Website SUCKS! I waste vast amounts of time trying to log in to the correct account, then being blocked because I used the wrong password.

This isn't rocket science folks; please hire a competent IT person!

Frustration and time spent in dealing with its dysfunctional representatives

My wife did not receive her 1099 for 2025 in the mail. She finally phoned the bank, provided lots of documentation, and was told that the 1099 would be emailed in encrypted form. After spending time activating and printing the 1099, she saw that the 1099 was not for her account but for one of mine.

I previously have dealt with quite ignorant Everbank representatives and, as a result, began removing my funds. Everbank’s slightly higher interest rates are more than offset by the frustration and time spent in dealing with its dysfunctional representatives.

(N)EVERBANK! That is their new name.

Absolute worst financial institution I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Highly NOT recommended.

I am not surprised they have 1.7 stars. I am surprised it is not lower.

Non-transparent disclosures, especially about external transfers. Possible violations of truth in savings act.

Their rates are competitive, true. But if you want to get a better rate at a different bank, there are limits on external transfers from Everbank to your external bank. Only $10,000 per transfer max and. $30,000 total transfers per month. 
I am a retired consumer banking lawyer and sure there are violations of the truth in savings act in their disclosures, but don’t have the energy to research that right now.. i’ll just get my money out of there, even though it takes forever with this external transfer rule and move it elsewhere even for lower rates.

Longtime customer and that's coming to an end...

Been a customer for nearly 8 years and while I've stuck with them it's not due to their "quality customer service", they have no contact via online whether it being online chat or online message center, you have to call them on the phone and most questions cannot be found anywhere in their terms or FAQ's, deposits take forever to clear and there isn't a rhyme or reason as to when each deposit will clear, made an ACH transfer days ago and am still waiting for it to be applied to my available cash, really wondering whether it's worth it with them anymore, the rates were good and now they're just like the rest, biding my time with them

Easy in, tough getting money out

I have sent two wire transfers from my EverBank savings account, months apart. The first was stopped, flagged for "my safety", where I had to spend a half hour arguing with an Everbank employee, forced to explain why I want to send money to a friend of mine for 40 years. The second was stopped, delayed, requiring me to verify the exact information I entered online on their website. Total PIA.

EVERBANK CANNOT BE TRUSTED


I submitted a wire transfer this morning for funds that needed to go out and be delivered today, for which Everbank charges $25. After submitting the request, I assumed the matter was over. In the process of submitting the request I had to verify my identity by different methods 4 different times. There was no notice of any further review or hold up on the transfer after it was submitted.
Several hours later Everbank called me and asked all kinds of personal questions that are none of their business. I verified my identity again by 3+ different methods and verbally confirmed all of the details of the wire transfer. I confirmed that the recipient is legitimate and who I wanted the funds to go to and there are more than sufficient funds in the account.
Everbank refuses to make the wire transfer and they refuse to give me any reasons for why they will not let me access and send my own money. They also refused to let me speak to anyone at Everbank who will explain why they are not making the transfer and what it would take to get them to do it.
The bottom line is that they are preventing me from accessing my own money in my own account, even after a large number of security checks and live assurances and confirmations on the phone. I will definitely be moving my account away from them, despite having had an account there for more than 2 decades.

DO NOT GET EVERBANK. They froze my account due to too many purchases. It took 3weeks to finally say they are closing my account and sending a check, which will take another 10 days. I was left destitute with no money and had to borrow to get by. They didn't care at all. All the purchases were local, and at first I just had to call in to verify; the next day the account was frozen. People don't realize that once your money is in the bank, IT IS NO LONGER YOURS! They said that if they decided that I was the fraud, they could just take the remaining balance. There is no legal action for you unless you have the money to take them to court. Its really scary. What you have in the bank is an IOU. Chase and Discover have excellent customer service and happy with them.

DO NOT USE. I got to call my lawyer now.

DO NOT USE. I lost my phone and they kept my money because the only way to verify my identity is with a phone number.

Guess I got to call my lawyer.

I tried countless things but they refuse to give me access to my account without my phone number, something that changes constantly. My social security number wasn't even good enough.

When I called over Bank and finally got…

When I called Ever Bank and finally got a representative on the phone before I could say two words, Ashley disconnected my call. So now I had to go through the whole process all over again & hold on the phone until a second rep came on. After finishing my conversation with her, I asked to speak with a supervisor about Ashley’s rude behavior. The supervisor’s response was “ I don’t know an Ashley.” I had a sneaky suspicion that was who I was speaking with, not a supervisor but Ashley herself. I don’t plan on doing business with this EverBank EVER again.

They Lie

They lie, they twitched me from savings 4% to world maket 2.5% (high risk) w/o telling me. Tried to withdraw money asked for printed wire transfer papers, never came. Asked them to mail me a check, they said Fed X needs to me sign - but it never came. Then they said they used USPS but had no tracking number. This bank is NOT trustworthy at all.

DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT! After a month of it being open, they canceled my account for no reason. If I was committing financial fraud, okay, but yeah, no. Said it was a “bank decision.” When I asked if someone I could talk to could give me a reason, the answer was straight up “no.” Unreal. All I got in initial notification was an email saying we sorry to lose you. Took 2 weeks to open the stupid account with numerous phone calls. And now it’s a headache cause the money is being sent as a check in the mail. Ridiculous. Do not bank with them. Complete regret!
