Deceptive descriptions, ignore complaints
ExoticIncense.com posts inaccurate descriptions of incense counts, packs incense sticks in flimsy padded envelopes, refuses to acknowledge emails regarding complaints (but will repeatedly pester you for reviews), screens and only posts 5-star reviews, making it less trustworthy than, say, ordering from Amazon.
I ordered 7 packs of incense from them. The packs were SEVERAL sticks short of their advertised count. All items were on sale. Shipping charges made it the same as ordering at full price elsewhere, but I thought I was getting what was in the photo. The photos did not match the product received.
Packs are advertised as, for instance, 15g pack as a 15 stick count. Instead, there were 11 sticks. That's a lot less than expected.
A LOT.
I emailed them requesting to please provide partial refund for that FALSE ADVERTISING DECEPTION, waited a week, then received an email to review the products. So, I included the photos didn't match what I got (showed weight) and advised stick count, as well as ExoticIncense.com's choice to ignore my polite request to fix the sitiation.
The VERY next day, an email was received with REVIEW GUIDELINES, ignoring my dissatisfaction completely.
I have no intention to help them defraud other buyers nor allow them to ignore their duties as a merchant. I am reporting them to the FTC for consumer fraud, untrustworthy and unprofessional business practices.
ExoticIncense.com taught me to WARN other buyers.
Do yourself a favor and order from AMAZON. You'll see real descriptions, true reviews, and have actual recourse if you get lied to.
