OK - Product arrived
The product came, looked new and the price was good.
The product: SMSL SU-1
It took a bit longer than I expected and it was shipped from china instead of the uk. If i had bought from the Chinese manufacturer it would have been a bit cheaper. There was no information that Exound would send from china, the choosing of the store was in good part to have a fast shipping and no border customs fees.
There were no fees, and the time to deliver wasn't terrible, but it wasn't as fast as Europe times we are used to.
In Exound favor, they did admit it and explain that this was most efficient way for this product, and were very friendly toned.

In my opinion, just a heads up for the buyer is enough. It gives the buyer the chance to decide to order directly from China or through Exound (maybe with more confidence).
Suggestion, when you offer a bonus like an optical cable, do give the option to turn down the offer. While practical for other appliances I have, for this specific purchase the optical cable will not be used.
For completeness about the times, I ordered on January 9th and the product arrived at January 23rd. So, not fast but not months (like it used to be for china shipped goods).

You've raised an important point about shipping transparency. As a UK-based business serving EU customers post-Brexit, we face the same customs procedures whether shipping from the UK or China. After careful consideration of delivery times and costs, we currently ship physical products to EU customers directly from our partner warehouses in China, which allows us to offer better pricing while our reliable carriers ensure consistent delivery standards. For UK customers, we ship from local stock when available.
We've already added clearer shipping information at checkout based on feedback like yours, and we're excited to share that we're planning to open an EU warehouse by Q3 this year to better serve our European customers.

Great pricing, genuine software, superb communication!
I was a bit sceptical at first as it appears to be a newly established business, but the website and companies house details were all up-to-date so decided to give it a chance and to purchase NI software as it was slightly cheaper than anywhere else.
The product was genuine and delivered in timely manner. Not only that but I had actually made a typo in my email address when placing the order and the customer service were super quick to respond to my email and to get it fixed, despite this being a Sunday so brilliant overall experience and would not hesitate to use them again!

Superb online purchase experience
Superb online purchase experience from start to finish. The Smsl su1 was the best price and the free spdif cable was icing on the cake. I specifically requested Royal Mail delivery and they obliged without hesitation. Communication was first class throughout. I fail to see how anyone could have done better
