Another great experience with purchasing wool fabric from Fabworks. George couldn't be more helpful with my orders and if you need anything "above and beyond," then speak to this man. For example, I wanted to order a fabric which stated it was in limited quantity on line, but George managed to find some extra stock (he explained sometimes they under-estimate stock amounts to be sure they can fulfil anything they offer (in other words, they only advertise stock that is genuinely available). For beautiful, unique fabric and service I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

After receiving the wrong scarf. The problem was quickly resolved by George. Great customer service from a great company.

Lightweight Cotton Plaid - Micro Houndstooth Pink/Green, I found this fabric at Fabworks while searching the internet, it was delivered on time and it was great to work with.
It is lightweight but strong, performed well through hours of sewing, unpicking and ironing, it even self-healed the holes made by blunt pins.
I used it to connect 30 patchwork squares I'd sewn and its checked pattern made it easy to cut strips of fabric, again made easy as both sides of the fabric look the same. A lovely fabric to use!

Everything about my experience was fantastic! There was a minor query with my order, and Leo from Fabworks got in touch straight away - all sorted in minutes. My order was shipped within a day, and arrived one day later. The order itself was beautifully packed and the fabric quality is unreal.

This was my first order but I can’t wait to shop here again! Genuinely great service.

I visited fabworks today to look for some fabric and ask advice about a project. Some of the staff were lovely and helpful however one woman was very unpleasant, sarcastic and disrespectful to me and the person I was visiting with. She was also being disrespectful to one of the other staff members, making an unpleasant face when her back was turned. She was muttering rude things under her breath when I was discussing ideas and her behaviour was intense and unpredictable... it was an uncomfortable and strange experience! It's a shame as I think I would've loved the place if she wasn't on shift, but now I don't want to go back!

I am a returning customer to Fabworks because the quality of the fabrics they offer is exquisite, but today George went above and beyond to accommodate me and fulfil my order - even calling me to discuss!

I was quite blown away to find that there is still customer service ‘like we used to have in the old days’ (as my Mum would’ve said!)

Fabworks is a fabulous place to get excellent quality dressmaking and furnishing fabrics. Their stock is often very high quality deadstock at very good prices. Their fast delivery service is also a bonus, order one day and get it the next. I haven’t visited the store yet so I always buy online and I’ve never been disappointed. We need these smaller independent businesses to keep going in difficult times so I am very happy to endorse them.

Fabulous helpful ladies that were working today, thank you so much, you all contributed to my shopping pile I had on the counter!! A great exciting collection of fabrics for all sorts from dress making to soft furnishings. Fortunately I don't live too far away, always well worth a visit.

Wide range of excellent quality fabrics available. Superfast dispatch (within a couple of hours on my last order!!!). Arrives well packed. Sample service is excellent. Samples are a good size and fully labelled. Will definitely order again and again from this store.

This is a gem of a place for amazing fabrics and haberdashery. If you order on line it is next day delivery by DPD. SO NO DELAYS BY POST.
I was lucky enough to be able to go into FABWORKS as I was on holiday at the time. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! Just so much to look at. The staff were so helpful showing all the various areas of fabric. It is all beautifully laid out so easy to browse the various sections of fabrics. They even have a rail of made up garments so you can view patterns made up in different types of fabric. Each month they offer a special fabric for an amazing price……..and they are so different each time - so a great way to try them out.

I’ve placed 4 orders with Fabworks, two for wool tweeds and two for the May and June Fabric of the Month. ALL the fabrics I have received have been beautifully packaged, double wrapped and delivered promptly. However the Fabric of the Month have both been outstanding, I cannot believe the price of the fabric for the quality. In May I purchased a linen cotton mix for £3 and £6 per meter, having only previously bought wool fabric from fabworks, I wasn’t sure what to expect, the quality of both the pink and lilac version was fabulous, even the selvage had a really pretty stripe through it which I used to make a matching belt for the shirt dress I made.
I have just received the June Fabric of the Month, a sateen shirting which is just beautiful. 6m for £18! Quite remarkable, it will be the ‘walk away dress’ from series 3 of the great British sewing bee. I can’t wait to get started. I’m excited to see what the Team at Fabworks offer for July.
Well done Fabworks, you have the most beautiful taste in fabric, I will come to visit your mill one day very soon.

Fabworks misrepresents the fabrics they sell online and in breach of Statutory Laws and Regulations refuses to refund or exchange customers, unlawfully attemps to make customers liable for returns postage of faulty goods and attempts to unlawfully hold customers funds by refusing refunds and offering Gift Vouchers instead. The fabric I received also had dusty bootmarks on it, where it had been trod on and damage marks. I would be weary of buying online from Fabworks. The mark of a reputable business is how they manage complaints when things go wrong. Fabworks drag their heels whilst responding to requests for refunds/exchanges leaving the customer to chase all whilst sitting on the customers capital. Look at consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Do not let this company get away with shirking its legal responsibilities and this manipulative behaviour and practice. Time waster.

Genuinely spectacular service! The fabric is really good quality, comes really quickly and the service is incredible. George actually called me to check I was fine for an order to come cut in two pieces and then later to check I'd meant to order threads without fabric! I really only like to buy deadstock and other fabric from decent suppliers and this is one of the best in the UK.

Very happy with the service I received from Fabworks.I needed help choosing the right colour and texture of fabric to mend a dress, Fabworks, helped throughout, communicating through photos, conversations,sending appropriate sized samples, then sending the choosen fabric speedily.

this company has really really nice quality Fabrics reasonable Prices more importantly they have an excellent website. They have really good communication. They really care about what they do and it shows and they are one of my favourite fabric retailers for all of those reasons if I could give them six stars, I would.

I highly recommend Fabworks, they have a huge reasonably priced fabrics and they send orders out quickly and efficiently. A great experience all round - so rare these days.
