I really wanted to like Farm Fresh but..

I really wanted to like Farm Fresh, but my experience has been incredibly disappointing from start to finish.

I originally signed up at a Sky Tavern event after being promised a waived startup fee. That never materialized, so after waiting, I ended up paying the startup fee myself just to get my subscription going.

I selected the smaller box and customized my order, removing the items I didn't want. Instead, I was charged for the larger box and received many of the items I'd specifically removed. Why on earth would I order six zucchinis when I don't even like zucchini? Why would I deliberately pay more for food I don't want?

To make matters worse, I received deliveries every week instead of every other week as I intended.

No notifications were sent when the box had been delivered so the unexpected box sat on my doorstep for half a day in the sunshine.

When I finally decided enough was enough, canceling the subscription was an ordeal. I tried calling, I tried texting, I tried sending an email, It took me around 45 minutes to find the cancellation option. After canceling, I was then told I hadn't canceled at all. Only after following up with an angry email did I receive a voicemail confirming it had finally been canceled.

The most frustrating part was being told that I had ordered the larger box, the weekly deliveries, and all the items I received. That simply doesn't make sense. I'm one person. Why would I knowingly order more food than I could possibly use, pay extra for it, and fill my order with vegetables I don't even eat? I have a degree in computing, I know what I ordered!

As someone who is building a subscription-based business myself, this experience has reinforced something I already believed: subscription services should be built on trust. Customers shouldn't have to hunt for a cancellation button or feel like they're fighting the system. If your service is good, people will stay because they want to—not because it's difficult to leave.

I had no response to my text messages or emails to them. I finally got a call and they left a message.

Unfortunately, my experience with Farm Fresh has left me feeling frustrated, unheard, and very reluctant to trust subscription services in general.

Not really farm fresh

Farm Fresh To You is an okay grocery store, but it's not a place for impeccable, fresh produce. In fact, they readily admit that they care less about quality produce than they care about forcing the environment to keep stuff as long as possible so they can sell more. Trying to figure out what they were doing with their tomatoes, I got this information from their marginally helpful customer service. If you love produce and want the best, this is NOT the place, as they are no different than any other chain (like Safeway). The name "Farm Fresh" is completely inaccurate. Stuff is refrigerated and held even when it ruins an item (like tomatoes). If you want "farm fresh", you want to look elsewhere.

My sons and I have been receiving our boxes for 4 years and are completely staisfied with all the amazing choices and varieties! The quality far surpasses any produce in any store we shopped previously. Yeah! No longer having to go to the store and wasting time and gas. Keep going Farm Fresh. We love ya!

whole linseed are pretty dirty.

I was very spoiled when I bought whole linseed 1 kg.
It was dirty. mixed with other seeds dirty and stowns.
Your customers can loose their tooth and can apply for the compensation.
Not a good brand for linseed.
I just started to clean it. I can see it will take time forever.

Excellent delivery service

Excellent Delivery Service. Awesome fruits and veggies! So easy and it's fun for the kids and I selecting from so many choices. We love the seasonal varieties.,. fresh and pure.

Nice produce but very shady pricing

Nice produce but very shady pricing and poor customer service. Items frequently missing with only partial credits given, deliveries left (and ruined) at night at end of long driveway in the rain without notification, never a full refund offered or a change in service. Just repeated issues and loss of money.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE -- YOU WILL NOT GET !Ordered latkes and applesauce for…

Ordered latkes and applesauce for Chanukah for my son and his fiancee. There was not separate bill to and ship to address. I had to email several times with the company to explain. Once they finally had that figured out, I placed the order -- 1 week in advance. They only deliver from 5pm-9pm. I asked them to please deliver by 7pm -- since eating latkes at 9 is not ideal. That request was not honored. And to boot, they delivered the applesauce, but not the latkes!! Called the next day because no one was in the office at the late hour the delivery was made. The rep apologized and asked how to make it right. I told him to deliver at noon, so they can have for lunch, and he couldn't or wouldn't oblige. So, I told him to cancel the order and have the boss, Lincoln, call me. Lincoln never called DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY -- You may or may not get order. They will not make it right. STAY AWAY!!

Food quality was terrible and half of it was rotten in the first box. They also didn't cancel the subscription when it was requested after the first box and sent another box. There is not even a return to sender address to reject a box if it's bad produce.

Great fresh produce and Customer service

Deliveries are prompt. Produce is outstandingly fresh. I love that I am supporting local farmers directly. I had a little issue with some broken eggs. After contacting customer service I had a swift response they dealt with it so swiftly and satisfactory. Can't recommend them more highly for fresh produce, supporting local farmers and great customer service.

My daughter and husband signed up for…

My daughter and her husband signed up for what was advertised as “fresh organic” produce. Instead, they received wilted vegetables, sweet potatoes already sprouting eyes, and even a rotten artichoke. The box only included a single piece of fruit and just two other vegetables—and the quality was terrible.

Overall, the produce was disappointing and far from fresh. And their customer service is undesirable--when my daughter contacted them to request a refund and cancel her subscription, they only refunded part of the monthly fee... I do not recommend this service.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience! I loved the idea of this and it could do really really well but customer service and execution isn't worth it. Super disappointing!

Signed up at the flee market before…

Signed up at the flee market before going on vacation, worker said I wouldn’t get charged or sent boxes until I picked up manually. Came home to rotten groceries that I had to pay for. Worst subscription I’ve ever signed up for. I never even received account number or confirmation

Poor customer service and attention to detail

I want to express my significant dissatisfaction with recent service. For several weeks, I have received deliveries containing spoiled bananas. My attempt to address this via email received no response.

Furthermore, my most recent delivery arrived at 7:30 p.m. and was left outside without any notification until 5:00 a.m. This is not an isolated incident, as my deliveries frequently arrive at inconsistent and late hours.

They stated that the delivery window is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and implied that requesting the driver to ring the doorbell required a special note. Given that the perishable items are delivered in inadequate thermal bags, leaving them unattended for an extended period, especially in warm weather, results in spoiled food. On this occasion, after nearly ten hours, the food was warm and the ice packs were melted. The representative offered no resolution beyond reiterating the delivery window, leading me to cancel my subscription due to the consistently poor service and lack of support.

I have so many complaints from only 3…

I have so many complaints from only 3 deliveries, this will be difficult to put them all on here. I was signed up for a Wednesday delivery but Wednesday mornings I would find everything warm. I discussed with customer service to only have my dumplings replaced because they were frozen but nothing about the dairy products. Then they tell me they have a 2 day window of delivery with no notification of delivery and my deliveries have been coming at 10pm Tuesday night. I ask for a notification to not have this happen again and they said they could have the delivery call/text. The next delivery is at 9pm I get there in 20 minutes because I thought it would be at 10pm. Again my soup dumplings are not frozen, my pie is smashed. They didn't pick up the boxes or insulated bags. Plus, half of my order was wrong! They only would refund the dumplings, again. Not the smashed pie, or the items I did not order. It's such a shame their website and customer service are awful because I love the products they carry.

It's not organic at all

It's not organic at all. The eggs, for example, are full of antibiotics and growth hormones. I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary from a regular market, not recommended!

Poor Service

Good produce but poor customer service. Long line of customers waiting patiently in line only to be cut in front by randoms. We got told “it’s meant to be two lines” by some teenage employee that refused to give her name. Either make it clear that there are “two lines” or stfu. Truly appalling. Not a trying be a Karen but 100% will fight till the bitter end. Teach your staff how life works or be prepared to lose business.
