I ordered my sound bed over two years ago...December 13, 2023. There is no reason to go into details as my story is much like all the other reviewers. I never got the bed and I just viewed their tracker, where it said I could expect my bed in 26 weeks. Every time I go to the tracker, it's a longer period of time. I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been a class action suit filed.

I’m sharing my experience so others are aware. I purchased an OPUS SoundBed for $2,000 with a promised delivery window of 12 weeks. It has now been many months, the product never arrived, the tracking system is down, and customer support has stopped responding to all emails.

I posted a polite, honest comment on their Instagram asking for an update, but it was deleted. Since then, I’ve connected with many others who also paid in full and never received their SoundBed—some have been waiting over two years. This pattern of deleting customer comments, delaying delivery, and not responding to refund requests is extremely concerning.

Because OPUS has not provided the product or communicated any resolution, I am filing a dispute with my bank and submitting official complaints to my State Attorney General, the FTC, the BBB, and other consumer protection agencies. I’ll also be sharing this experience on platforms they cannot edit or moderate so people can make informed decisions.

If you are also still waiting for your order or refund, please document everything and consider filing your own reports. The more customers who speak up, the easier it becomes for consumer protection groups to take action. Transparency from a company selling such high-ticket items is essential. I am still open to a professional resolution and a full refund, but until that happens, I will continue sharing my experience so others are aware.

I want to share my experience with the company OPUS, because at this point it’s clear that many people have been affected and the public needs to know.

I placed an order with OPUS over a year ago and was repeatedly told my item was “shipping soon.” That never happened. After requesting a refund, I was again told—multiple times—that the refund was being processed, but nothing has actually been returned.

After looking deeper into other people’s experiences, it’s obvious I’m not alone. Many customers have been waiting months or even years for products that have never arrived. Others are now also struggling to get refunds, receiving the same repeated promises with no follow-through.

At this point, it’s hard not to believe this is a systemic issue within the company. People deserve their money back, and future customers deserve to be warned.

If you are considering ordering from OPUS, please do your research first. Based on what I’ve gone through—and what countless others are reporting—I strongly recommend avoiding purchases until this company can demonstrate honesty, transparency, and reliability.

Because of how widespread this seems to be, it may be time to consult with an attorney about the possibility of a class action lawsuit. If anyone has legal contacts or knows an attorney who handles consumer fraud or class-action cases, please reach out. The more people who speak up, the more likely we can get answers—or at the very least, accountability.

People deserve better than this.

I have not received my soundbed going…

I have not received my soundbed going on almost a year now, it’s always the same excuses and the “tracker” has not been working for months now. I see they continue to take orders consistently, yet they can’t fulfill any existing orders, interesting🤨

I never received the product or my refund $2,100 gone

I ordered the Opus SoundBed in December 2024. I canceled the order before it was shipped and was promised a full refund.

It is now October 2025 and I have not received the product or the refund. After months of being told it was “processing,” I escalated to my credit card company. They only refunded $199. OPUS claimed the charge was valid, but I never got the product.

This has been a nightmare. I’ve spent nearly a year trying to recover my money. OPUS stopped responding. I’ve exhausted every professional and polite route. I’m now filing formal complaints and legal action.

DO NOT order from this company without protection.

Would give it zero if I could. I wish I would’ve read these reviews before purchasing November 20 24 was promised over and over after my first delivery date of February past. They keep giving me new estimates and finally I have asked for a refund which have never received. Do not Purchase through this company

I paid $2649 plus another $99 for the soundbed in October 2023. As of March 2025 I still had not received the product and they offered a refund. I accepted. I am still waiting in September 2025 for the refund and no communication. This company is fraudulent.

OPUS is a crowdfunding scheme at best, or a SCAM at worst.

This company is a secret crowdfunding scheme at best, and an absolute scam at worst.

TLDR: I have waited over 18 months to receive my soundbed, despite OPUS' repeated lies about it being shipped out "soon." It has now been 3 weeks since I asked for a refund and I'm not convinced that I will actually see my $1,999 again.

The longer version: I purchased an OPUS soundbed in February of 2024, with an estimated delivery of May 2024. I have contacted them about every 5 months since then, and each time they give a very pleasant reply full of vague excuses and empty promises, extending their deadline for delivery out another 3 months each time. They then created this ridiculous "soundbed tracker" feature, which is NOT legitimate (mine stayed on a "2 weeks" estimate for over 3 months). Just another ploy to get customers to think that they have some awareness over their purchase status OR that their purchase was even legitimate to begin with.

About a month ago, I finally decided, after waiting 18 months, to cancel my order and request a refund. The customer service was initially fast and they appeared to be processing my refund like a real company. Suspiciously, they need to send the refund via a mailed check which also allegedly expires 90 days after the refund is "processed." Then they ghosted me for 3 weeks despite multiple attempts to get updates or tracking information for this very large ($1,999) refund check.

As of today (3 weeks since I asked for a refund, with no reply until now), I got another vague email saying that their finance team is working hard to process the refunds, but they can't estimate how long it will be before my check will be sent out. How hard is it to print a check, put it in an envelope, and walk to a mailbox? Perhaps too hard if the company doesn't have the liquid funds and already spent my money...

And for those interested, I submitted a dispute with my credit card company, which has since failed because I waited too long. Because I believed OPUS was a legitimate company and gave them the benefit of the doubt for too long, I am not eligible to dispute these charges. So, I have no protection anymore.

I am now convinced that what will happen next is that OPUS will deliberately wait out the 90 day expiration timeframe before they send out the check (IF they send out the check), and my refund will expire before I even have a chance to cash it.

I just read another review here saying that someone has waited 7 months for their refund check. So, not holding my breath on a happy ending to this story. If, by small chance, I actually do get refunded, I'll update my review.

OPUS SoundBed is a scam

OPUS SoundBed is a scam. They are dishonest, no integrity, and lack any real structure. I think a lot of their “business model” is a front to collect as many $99 deposits from customers as they can, and have no real intention to fulfill orders. I waited for years with lie after lie. I finally had to file a CC Dispute. But they want to keep the $99 because they literally state in their TOS that they will keep that no matter what for any reason/cancellation. Whatever you do, do not work with this unethical fraud of a “business.”

Company is stealing customer money and not delivering the product to about half of the customers.

The company promises a certain delivery date, then does not deliver and also does not proactively offer any notice of the change. After waiting for 8 months for my bed, I had to cancel because I moved abroad and they were unable to deliver to my new home.

I requested a refund and was given an ETA of 21 business days for it to be processed and mailed. After waiting the 21 days, I followed up with the company and was notified there were currently issues with the finance team and they had no update on how long it would take to get me a refund. It has now been 7 months since the initial refund request. I email them monthly to check in and they are offering no updates on a refund check for over $2000.

I am sending them a final request before pursuing further in small claims court.

Been waiting four months and they keep…

Been waiting four months and they keep moving back my date of production. Do not order! Total scam. They admitted a refund will take a while. Unbelievable how this company gets away with taking your money for a product that is supposed to help your mental health and they strung you along with false production dates. Waste of over 2k! Save your money and your time.

Purchased the sound bed in November, never to have it delivered. Requested a refund in March and was told I would get the refund. They then kept telling me they were having technical issues for the next 3 months and were trying to process the refund. I finally reported to my credit card company and they are helping me work through it. Opus is still fighting giving me a refund, even though the bed was never delivered and they promised to send a refund. 100% a marketing scam.

Pro: It arrived & works wonderful.

Cons:

19 brutal months of wait.
Worst support people that keep telling you its gonna come, and are super vague.

Scam Alert !🚨

Ordered the bed, never got it! Asked for a refund and after emailing back and forth for 3-4 months and not receiving my refund I contacted my bank. Since I didn’t file a dispute with the bank in time (hoping I’d resolve with opus) I still haven’t received my $1,900 back. Stay away!!!

Promised the bed for over 6 months! Constant delays, same story - delay in shipments. Now even when they promise a refund, they say it's by check and will take 21 business days. After 2 months I still have nothing other than a reply that they are working on it! Stay away and save yourself the headache.

These people are Frauds

These people are Frauds. They have BLOCKED ME on multiple accounts, deleted my comments and they lie cheat and steal. They manipulate. They took my money and took over 4 years to NEVER deliver. They NEVER apologized and either the CEO is an incompetent to run a company or the employees working for him have poor business management skills and never brought this to anyone’s attention. I have plenty emails, screenshots and comments being ignored. HORRIFIC WASTE OF TIME.
