I hired FindLaw to handle FaceBook marketing for my law firm. After 11 months, the results were abysmal to say the least. I checked my FaceBook account and found that FindLaw had done ZERO marketing for the last 2 months. I will never use FindLaw again and can never recommend them to anyone.

A Cautionary Tale– Do Not Waste Your Money with FindLaw
A Cautionary Tale – Do Not Waste Your Money with FindLaw
If I could give FindLaw zero stars, I would. Our experience since May 2024 has been nothing short of infuriating, unprofessional, and exploitative.
We signed up with the hope that FindLaw would support our firm’s growth through quality leads and marketing support. Instead, we received zero legitimate leads—only spam and scam contacts—and absolutely no return on investment.
After several months of poor performance, we requested to cancel or adjust our subscription. In September 2024, we were told in writing that our account would be paused while the issue was being addressed. But despite that, we continued to receive monthly invoices and late fee charges. The only communication we received was from accounts receivable trying to collect payment—on charges that should have been paused.
We received no explanation or follow-up from our assigned rep, and when we tried to escalate the issue, we learned—through silence—that our original rep had left. No one from FindLaw notified us of the change or introduced a new rep. We were left entirely in the dark.
Even worse, we’ve sent multiple emails requesting to schedule a call to resolve this, and none have been answered. Yet, we continue to receive persistent phone calls from accounts receivable, despite repeatedly explaining that we were told invoices would be paused until the matter was resolved. The lack of communication and professionalism is absolutely staggering.
We even had our account independently reviewed, and the findings confirmed what we already knew: FindLaw provided no value, no ROI, and only frustration.
If I were advising another law firm, I would say this plainly: FindLaw preys on law firms. They don't deliver on what they advertise, they deliver nothing of substance, and then ignore your efforts to resolve the matter.
This experience has been deeply disappointing, grossly mismanaged, and frankly, disgusting. We are requesting that this contract be canceled, and we strongly urge other firms to look elsewhere.

Bad attorney
I spoke with Findlaw, the review is controlled by the attorney. A bad attorney can hide the post. I wouldn't recommend looking for an attorney on Findlaw. On April.10,2025, I received a response from Findlaw from above claiming to be trustful. Why I still do not see the review? Because the attorney still has control over the review

It's all screened
It's all screened. The review will only be posted if the lawyer agrees with it. Read their terms and conditions. Reviewing a lawyer does nothing unless it's a good review and he wanted. You will never find a negative review. It's biased

STAY AWAY FROM FINDLAW!!!
STAY AWAY FROM FINDLAW!!!
They shut off our web site, did not even communicate, yet we were spending on thousands a week on AdWords, not knowing the site was down; not even a phone call.
It all began with them selling me on how great they were and how their domain authority would help; in reality, we did not get any increase in web traffic at all; most of it was from referrals. I told them upfront that I want to have input re the articles they write and the topics as we have a specific niche and branding to follow.
A year went by; they did not communicate with me once. The saleperson, a nice fellow, begged me for a second chance, which I provided. Eight months later and nothing changes: not a single call.
Five weeks ago I called my salesperson and asked for an adjustment on my account. As Findlaw is always weeks or months for a reply, I waited patiently. Yesterday night, I discovered they simply shut it off. That was their response. They kept the web site, and we lost all the work we put into it as well as our long-term Internet ranking, which Google can remove in a microsecond when you are down.
Save your legal practice and why waste $18,000 a year for such a callous and cutthroat company as Thomspon Reuters with no customer service whatsoever. This is one of the worst companies I have dealt with in my life.
We had the same problem with Westlaw. I cancelled a product and they kept billing me for a year and half. We had spent close to a year writing numerous emails and making calls (5 people tried) and never a reply; they simply cancelled our Westlaw account because we did not pay for something we did not order.
Welcome to Thomspson Reuters...the company that preys on lawyers for their greedy motives. You can get a web site for $5000 and own it and not be hijacked by them, who will keep all of your work. As to Westlaw, after 30 years with Westlaw, referring many lawyers to it, that is how they treated me...I went to Lexis, for half the price of Westlaw I have sooooo much more and they even answer calls...what a concept for Thomspon Reuters. I don't know why I am even forced to provide one star....they are a perfect example. of greed with a callousness towards those who support them.

As an attorney who engaged FindLaw for website development and marketing services, I can only describe my experience as deeply disappointing. Throughout the year-long contract, FindLaw failed to make any improvements to the website, disregarded numerous emails requesting changes, and continually reassigned new managers without any resolution. They breached the contract by not updating the website with the blogs I provided, and their lack of communication or apology was unprofessional. The company seemed solely focused on their monthly fees and showed no regard for delivering on their promises. For any small firm considering their services, I strongly advise against it. My contract ends this month, and I am relieved to part ways with such a poorly managed and unresponsive company.

No luck in finding business litigation (breach of contract) on contingency
No luck with business litigation… seems like no lawyers care about this segment of law unless i pay them a bunch of money up front which is definitely not happening… work for your money on contingency, not a fan of lawyers that charge billable hours… just do the work and win us the money that’s all you have to do

They promised an increase in my business and failed. Only to try to get to buy more services promising results
They promised an increase in my business. For the year that i used them i received virtually no business. In response they wanted me to pay them to contact google to increase business. Then, when i decline to renew the contract they never replied to my inquiries about the web page that i paid for. They totally shut down my site. In fact, the only reliable thing they did was to make sure i received their invoices every month. The only business they care about is theirs. Do not make the same mistake i made. Go directly to Google and pay for clicks, at least you will receive telephone calls. Pay for click is working for me now. I lost a lot of money with Findlaw/Thomson Reuter.
