I had a similar experience now with an Indian lady claiming to be from first prize lotto. She said I won and I am part of a syndicate. I ignorantly dropped my bank details ( sort code, name and account number) that I will be debited 39Pounds in a month for three months as from 11th of September. I realized it was a scam. I called the number back that I had all their conversation recorded that I know they are fraudsters. I told them I am not interested in any draw. An Indian guy took over the call and explained again. Told him I am not interested. Called back again but the phone kept ringing..no one picked. I guess once you have not given them authorization from your account to be debited...there is nothing they can do about it. They realized I caught them in the game so they didn't bother picking up. They are indians..(.02038688538.)AVOID THIS NUMBER
Can anybody suggest what to do now
Can anybody suggest what to do now. I just give my bank details when I receive a call today. How can I cancel the subscription

They claim to be from first prize lotto!
They are not! At first I was speaking with an Indian woman and when I told them I don’t want to give them my bank details the male english speaker came on and was rude saying I shouldn’t be so scared and that they’re not asking for all my personal bank details even tho they know someone’s address that I used to live with. They mostly wanted a direct debit set up with them. And just like another reviewer on here, they said if I win I should get them a box of chocolates. Scam and scum!
This company call themselves first prize lottos
This company call themselves first prize lottos. Ireceived a call from someone called Hannah, she had a strong south African accent. she said i had entered a competition and was eligible to win £150 sainsbury vouchers. Which i never got but entered me in a lotto draws over few weeks. I was told i would get a full refund of my £39 at the end of the first month if i didn't win more than £20. i called then then i was told i cant withdraw if its less than £20. This company are a total fraud i asked to cancel my direct debit they said i cant cancel until the 2nd month as per agreement. I didn't agree anything and the worse thing is they cant email anything to you in writing apparently they are not allowed.
Scam
The guy called told me I had won a competition I had dun online....anf that i had won sum lotto tickets for free but then wanted 30 40 quid a month...... I'm autistic and felt pressured as he asked for my bank details and I'm ashamed to say I was fooled and gave it him with feeling so pressured .... luckily I came and read the reviews after the call and managed to call my bank to explain what has happened. I think it's disgusting for them to target elderly or the vulnerable and manage to pressure u into having yo hand ova details even though u say no..... I can totally understand y people hand rm ova when they tell u u won and pressure u
Scam!
My husband already cancelled the direct debit from them and the guy he’s been speaking to over the phone makes it really impossible to end the contract and taking long for the conversation to end. I just find it weird that they make it so hard to do cancellation and always insert into the conversation that “if you ever change your mind, we just need to confirm it that you are cancelling..” when for a start he’s been told we’re not interested about it and just want to take effect asap!
Beware of Scam: Formerly Known as WorldLotto
Scam call, previously went by WorldLotto, which has terrible reviews on Trustpilot. Despite typically avoiding scams, I found myself fooled, the scammers had personal information such as my address, name, date of birth, and email.
The call began claiming I had won a competition I had entered. I enter a lot here and there so it wasn´t so far fetched. They said the prize was ten free lotto draws for the EuroMillions, assuring a win due to a syndicate of 150 winners. ¨Though they couldn't guarantee millions, a £10,000 prize seemed plausible, and to send them chocolates when I recieve my prize.¨ They requested my account number and sort code to transfer winnings, which, after a long hesitation, transfer to the manager, and a lot of psychological manipulation, I provided. I said I wanted to recieve the email first, but they tricked me by saying yes but them transfering me to the manager, and that the call is recorded and a bunch of finance regulation jargon.
After giving my details, they revealed a £39 monthly fee for 100 entries, refundable if earnings didn't materialize within three months. I said no, I do not agree, but agian they manipulated me to say yes. Realizing the deception, I imidiately contacted my bank, they helped me and set up a block on any new direct deposits, so hopefully the scammers can´t do it.
I advise others to take similar precautions. This call is a scam, aiming to set up an irrevocable £39 direct deposit, and othe comments highlight it is almost impossible to cancel this direct deposit with them.
SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!
Please avoid this company at all cost. They trick you into getting your account and set you up on a direct debit if £39 for 3 months promising if you don’t win, you’ll get a full refund. I even called in about 2 months into the subscription and I was told that I still qualify for my full 100% withdrawal, only to ask for my refund when I didn’t win and I was told I won 1p during one of the draws and can’t even withdraw cos it’s below £20 the minimum withdrawal. If there was 0 star, I would have rated then
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Called stating I'd won a competition for Rituals Products worth £200 - nothing more about that in the call, as the 'salesperson' only wanted me to subscribe to a lottery syndicate for £39 a month. While on the call I checked with companies houseto see if they were listed as he described them as an offshore company started on Britain - First World Lottos Online are NOT listed on companies house and have NEVER been listed as a UK company.
Also called Worldlottos.co - various variations for that name take you to the same website that has no real details about the company on it. NO COMPANY NUMBER.
MAKE SURE YOU INSIST ON YOUR DETAILS BEING REMOVED UNDER GDPR LEGISLATION, AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BANKING DETAILS
I had received a phone call from…
I had received a phone call from 020 4525 8119 after about 3 weeks of entering a competition to win dove products. The woman had a strong South African accent, told me I had won dove products, then went on to tell me I qualified for national lottery tickets, and that my chances of winning were very high😂 I don’t gamble but I entertained her questions for a couple of mins. She then asked me for my bank account details “to confirm my identity”. AVOID THIS NUMBER
Fraudulent bank account phishing
I entered a competition to win a PS5, after a week I received a call from First World Lotto, a Tanya Feegan stated that I had won the PS5. Dubious, I continued the conversation, as the competition would not have closed yet. After fifteen minutes of reeling off that I qualified for National Lottery entries and then asking for my bank account details, I asked for their website and asked for confirmation that I had already won the PS5. I was told at this point no, her call was just to confirm MY ENTRY TO THE COMPETION HAD BEEN RECIEVED. I thought Ill play along and gave the account number and sort code to a disused savings account which has a NIL balance.
At the end of everything, she startedto list through points that I could say yes or no to, to agree with / I understood.
Part 13 was rushed through that it sounded like jibberish, when I asked her to repeat it, she was saying that I agreed to the debit of £39 pounds from my bank account. Upon refusing this, she stated that I had agreed earlier in the call when she was reading to me about how the lottery entitlement increases over time. After I stated again that I do not gree to this, the call was disconnected. How rude!
Tanya Feegan had a strong south African accent, and whn I queried her company she stated that it was a UK based company endorsed by The National Lottery (ha! endorsed? I do not believe you know what the word means), and she was based in the South Africa office. Reflecting, the use of a strong accent could have been a ruse for you to miss the rushed question of agreement of a debit.
You cant play me, Tanya.
Website contact number is 0203 936 9681, I was called from a number displayed as 020 4525 8119.
