Poor level of service

I am writing to formally provide feedback about the standard of service we received during the recent repair, which I consider to be among the worst I have experienced for any vehicle I have owned.

Inconsistent and unreliable communication

Throughout the repair I dealt primarily with Dxxxx and Mxxx, and rarely received a consistent answer from either. I was frequently told "I can only go by what's on the system in front of me," and was given conflicting information about the parts on order — at various points I was told a rear bumper, then a front bumper, and eventually a front spoiler was on back order.

A particularly stressful event was our pre-booked trip to France via the Channel Tunnel on 13th June. On several occasions, Dxxxx told me the car was at "polish stage" and would most likely be ready by 11th or 12th June. Both Dxxxx and Mxxx were aware of the urgency and assured me they would call with updates. Despite this, I did not receive a single proactive call from Dxxxx despite her promising to provide an update. Mxxx left me a voicemail early on to call him back. The only call I received was Pxxxxx on 11th June, informing me the car would not be ready because it needed a new exhaust. I later discovered that Fix Auto had only submitted the authorisation request for this part during the week of 8th June (6 weeks after receiving the vehicle) — which directly contradicts having told me the car was at "polish stage" days earlier. A car cannot be in its final finishing stage while still awaiting authorisation for a required part.

I had also asked Dxxxx and Mxxx on several earlier occasions whether the exhaust needed replacing, and neither could confirm this — despite photographic and video evidence submitted by us before the vehicle was collected clearly showing the exhaust had been pushed in 3-4 inches from the rear impact. I cannot understand how this was missed from the original parts order.

Refused delivery on collection

When the car was finally ready on 24th June, Pxxxxx refused to deliver, as previously agreed, citing concerns that it would be too hot for his employee to return via public transport. No attempt was made to consider alternatives — such as delivering the car earlier in the day before the heat became an issue, or arranging a taxi for the employee's return. The tone of the call gave me the clear impression that the disruption this caused me was of no concern.

Time and stress incurred

Beyond the practical issues outlined above, the whole process has been a significant drain on our time. The constant need for us to chase Fix Auto for updates, combined with the poor and often contradictory communication, has been genuinely stressful. While I recognise this cannot be reduced to a monetary figure, it has been a real distraction from work and family life over an extended period, and this should not be underestimated.

Summary

Taken together, this experience involved poor communication, contradictory information, a missed and costly personal commitment, an unprofessional refusal to honour an agreed delivery, and an ongoing burden on our time and wellbeing — with no apology or acknowledgement of the impact throughout.

I am very disappointed with the service…because the repairs were not carried out properly ,my car was not restored to its pre -accident condition as expected

I am very disappointed with the service provided by this garage. The repairs were not carried out properly and did not follow the insurance assessor's report provided before the work began. The quality of the workmanship was poor, and my car was not restored to its pre-accident condition as expected. To make matters worse, the garage returned my car in a filthy condition, covered in dirt and bird droppings. I cannot recommend this garage based on my experience

Very helpful staff

Very helpful staff, completed the job in double quick time and the car was returned in a "like" new state. The workmanship was excellent.

The only small issue is that when dropping the car off there is very little parking.

Ordered all new parts .
Repaired and fixed very bad.

Faultless bodywork

The staff were all very friendly and clear. The repair is extremely well done. We would give five stars but something got lost between the garage and the engineers and we didn’t know what was happening for four weeks before the repair started, which caused unnecessary stress.

Andre – thank you for truly going above and beyond. I realised I’d left my phone in the vehicle and rang just two minutes before closing, and you still took the time to help. It’s small actions like that which really set a business apart – the quality of its staff makes all the difference.

One thing I would suggest to other customers is to double-check with the company that all QA checks have been completed before collecting the vehicle. The process is very thorough, which is reassuring, but it can be frustrating if you arrive before everything has been signed off. A quick confirmation call saves time.

Andre was exceptionally professional throughout. He’s a real asset to the company – knowledgeable, courteous and proactive. People like him deserve recognition and investment. Don’t let that talent go – support his progression. A genuinely solid individual.

Wasn’t happy with the whole process

Wasn’t happy with the whole process, delays , no or very little communication, a lot of chasing on my part, also on pick up yesterday found a lot of errors with the repair they should have been picked up by quality control , not sure how they process the quality side. Returned back to garage to replace the correct stickers and level them and speak to the workshop manager , half satisfied with feedback but just wanted to leave this behind me now and get back to some sort of normality with work. Questioned the left door if it had been touched as my previous pictures showed up discrepancy's, I was told the left side door hadn’t been touched at all. Spoke to the insurance which clearly says on the engineers report some remedial work was done on the left door, Yesterday as I got to a job, on mt rear door my lower fake ext lock looked slightly bent and the cover had come off , probably whilst driving, I was shocked to see that the door they said hadn’t been touched had a FAKE lock cut into my existing door , glued in and the cover RIVERTED in!!! Already I noticed rust brown marks around the rivets . Emailed and called the workshop for answers - will wait to see the answers on this one! Do I take it to Vauxhalls to pay a fee to inspect all there work? And do you have to do that, very upset and let down , it’s either communication problems they have or inexperienced workers let loose on customers vehicles and obviously not checked throughout by senior engineers due to being too busy.
Called my insurance and the company dealing with it to remind them of my conversation before the van went in, they told me this garage is accredited and have had no complaints , so am I the first?.
I’m awaiting a call back or some kind of explanation of what has happened , truly shocked which I’ll update this page accordingly.

The only minor remark is the relatively large duration of repair (around one month) due to Christmas break, which delayed the delivery of repair parts.
