AML/Fraud Prevention Team
The intention of this review is to bring the attention of HR when it comes improvement and psychological safety for workers.
My experience was overwhelmingly negative. Throughout my time there, my expertise was constantly questioned, and there was a complete emptiness for acceptance for different points of view. The work environment was characterized by poor communication and ineffective management.
I had unconstructive criticisms like questioning my ability to use basic Outlook functions.
The team expected complete independence from the very beginning, with no room for adaptation. Learning their way of working was tough, depending on the day determined the way they explained and some of the time the desire for help was poor.
Another point to highlight is that expressing an opinion was frowned upon and continuously asking questions was not accepted, questions asked because of the poor explanations.
Their decision making process about my fit for the team was swift and harsh, determining my fate in less than two weeks.
The department was disorganized and expected immediate, comprehensive knowledge of the tools used and their methods.
Overall, from my experience and point of view, the team environment was negative, with unreasonable expectations and a complete disregard for professional respect and development.
In a healthy work/team environment, trust , integrity and respect is always shining but this wasn’t the case in this team.
