FLIR ONE PRO : Poor build quality!

I purchased brand new and sealed FLIR ONE PRO from a retailer and on its first use the plastic corner caps fell out as it was poorly manufactured.

I contacted FLIR Support for replacement plastic clip in corner pieces and as it wasnt purchased from them directly or a "FLIR Authosised Seller" they refused to help!!

Never before have I come accross a manufacturer that disowns their own products and SHODDY build quality !!

I will never be buying another FLIR product again as the plastic pieces have a completely insignificant value (bet they cost them several PENCE to manufacture!!) and their attitude is just beyond comprehension!!!

This is a real shame as the camera itself otherwise works fine but the poor build quality and awful CS over a couple of tiny pieces of plastic is just atrocious!

FLIR C3 Kamera

Es ist eine teuere Kamera mit ca. 600€ und diese sollte qualitativ auch den Erwartungen entsprechen.

Wir haben das Gerät 4 - 6 Mal binnen 5 Jahren benutzt, und nun ist der Akku defekt.

Problem: Laut Hersteller ist dieser NICHT AUSWECHSELBAR !!!!!

Ich kann nur sagen, Finger weg von diesem Gerät, teuer und nicht nachhaltig.

Lösungsangebot des Herstellers: Man könne uns zwei neuere Generationen anbieten, der Witz... auch diese Akkus sind nicht auswechselbar. PFUI!

I will be a FLIR customer for life.

I worked with Brianna. I had sent my Breach in for service two times for the same issue. Because I was respectful and assertive FLIR was able to work with me and get all my issues corrected. I did not have to argue with Brianna. She is a pleasure to work with. I will be buying from FLIR again. I highly recommend buying from them and completing the warranty paperwork ASAP. This will save you a lot of trouble down the road.

Terrible ordering and delivery experience

My company needed an industrial camera, and we were in a hurry, and the website said free 2-day shipping, so we ordered from there. For starters the ordering process was a nightmare. I was asked to setup a profile, so I set one up for my company, which I did, including the VAT number, delivery address, etc. Then it wants to charge me VAT, even though I have entered out VAT number into our profile, and I discover that despite having entered the company's VAT number in our profile, it's not in the order. So I add it to the order. Now it wants delivery address, which I've already entered into our profile, but it's not there, so I enter it again. Finally once we're all done it wants €8.99 for "2-4 day priority shipping". What happened to "Your order qualifies for free 2-day shipping?" So I restart the whole thing, confirm 100% that I qualify for free 2-day shipping, that I am logged in, that the VAT number is entered in the profile, etc. Same result: I have to pay for shipping, nothing from my profile is included in the order, etc. At this point I should have just ordered from someone else, but we were in a huge hurry, so I ordered it. Now it's 4 days later and I get a text message saying that it will be delivered to our "home" (it's an office address, it's a company order, the VAT number's in the order) Tuesday night. So we will hopefully get it on Wednesday, almost a week from when we ordered.

Oh, and the tracking is in French (despite my browser being configured for English), I had to use Google Translate to read it.

Terrible ordering experience, something is seriously wrong with this website.

Teledyne Flir one pro Lies and deceiving support!

I have decided because I was deceived and the software issues with this product I will seek another product that is user friendly. The software is the issue because this unit works on older phones.

Teledyne has scammed all of its prior customers by not including the updated software or app for the current phones on the market and not inform its customers!! This was bad business and I will consider reporting this online and to the provide a reviews of this issue because this is not right. During my hours on support I was not able to get the product to work on multiple phones and instead of telling me the truth, you wasted hours of my time by deceiving me about the situation, sending me to multiple people. I final research and found online these flir one pro older units are not recognized on the newer phones s23, 24 and new tablets.

They offered a coupon for $200 for the $500 unit I paid for. They requested I send the old unit to them and pay the balance for a new unit that is compatible with the new phones. So they can refurbish my unit and resell it while getting me to buy into another unit that will likely have the same issue in a few years!

A disappointed customer.

Avoid FLIR products at all costs. They take no responsibility.

Bought their thermal camera FLIR One Pro LT for Android in November 2022. Did not function on any Android we could get our hands on. Not on ASUS Zenfone 9 with Android 13, Google Pixel 7 w. Android 13, ASUS Zenfone 5 w. Android 10, Samsung A5 2017 w. Android 7, or ASUS Chromebook CMA3000DVA.
The camera could save movies on a Zenfone 9 but no pictures. Thats all. Saved no files on other Androids, so useless.
It is otherwise a piece of junk in terms of low resolution and an insecure physical connection to USB. Prepare for rubber straps on your mobile to not lose your thermal camera
The battery management with its feature of "high self-discharge after turned off" is so poorly designed that the device must always be prepared before use with a charge for 2 hours. So a completely useless product for those who are in a hurry to detect an urgent fault.
This product has obviously been released to the market before it is even half developed and they expect us, customers, to do the rest of the development work free of charge.
When trying to have FLIR exchange their faulty product, FLIR Systems support people were arrogant and started demanding tests with even more different units to test it upon. Otherwise, they wouldn´t accept it as faulty! I should present proof that their product "was faulty on every other Android". Until then, it is working according to them. And they have not even tried my camera.
What? I bought it to function on my brand new top-of-the-line phone with the latest possible firmware, Android 13, and not on other people´s phones. I can´t find more to test on. every test requires installing their software on phones, and friends are not very keen on doing this anymore.
When I sent them all files they demanded, such as pics, thermal movies, screen recordings, and my proof of purchase, their email host didn´t accept my files! So they ask for files but have a very limited mailbox that can´t handle what they require for to prepare a refund. A Moment 22 situation.
The thermal camera is faulty and after 8 months with a useless thermal camera, I have not yet got any rectification. The next step is now to report them to the local authorities, for violating our consumer laws.
So avoid FLIR products at all costs. They take no responsibility for their faulty products and use a tactic to make enough hell for you until you will give up in the end.

Mobile phone attachment for thermal…

Mobile phone attachment for thermal imagining works better than expected. Pricey for a consumer use case. However still much, much cheaper than standalone commercial grade thermal imaging device.

BAD COMPANY THAT NEVER ANSWERED MY EMAIL!

I have sent an eMail to the company asking a question and it is consistent with so many other reviews on Amazon and other sites, they never had the decency to answer my question even when I have told them that I want to buy one of their cameras. Note that this BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ARROGANCE BEHAVIOUR before buying the product, because a company can make a great product (I'm not saying that their is such, though), but it is as good as it's customer service or the weakest link in the chain. After you'll buy you will probably get even Bigger ZERO Service, + I've read that they asking people so many details about their personal info when registering the product. Take these things into considerations when thinking of shelling the money out of your pocket!

Mangelfuld information på produkt, kostede mange penge

Købte et thermisk kamera til Android, med forventning det ville virke med en android, desværre var min gamle Htc One X ikke tilstrækkelig da dens Android version var for gammel, så jeg måtte ud og punge ud for en ny telefon. Denne nye telefon med Android 6.0 kan ikke bruge deres produkt da den åbenbart ikke har noget der hedder OTG, som der selvfølgelig ikke er skrevet med stort nogensteder.
Så nu står jeg så med 2 telefoner der ikke fejler noget og skal ud og købe en tredie på grund af deres dårlige vejledning og information omkring deres produkt.
