We did the forage box experience as a works day out. This was very well organised and before the day i was sent information about what was required for the day including a kit list this was very helpful. It was an excellent experience (luckily it was sunny on the day). You meet at Brock Bottom in a lovely area next to the river. Jim who was the host for the afternoon was very good, extrenley knowledgable and very easy to talk to. It was a very interesting experience and getting to try different things was super and even had some wild snacks cooked for us. I highly recommend this day out lots of fun

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Forage Box. The day struck the perfect balance between being educational and genuinely fun, something that is not easy to get right. We have been on many days out in similar settings before, but this one really stood out as the best so far.

The passion and depth of knowledge were clear from the start, and it was a breath of fresh air to see someone who is not only so passionate about what they do but also truly accomplished at it. Every plant, every detail was shared with care and enthusiasm.

The little bite of wild food we were given at the end was so delicious that it left us wanting more. We have already booked a spot at the wild dinner event and we genuinely cannot wait.

Highly recommended for anyone curious about wild food, nature, or simply looking for a thoughtful and enriching day out.

I'll give it a star because it's the lowest but I would give it 0 stars. Appalling customer care. I bought a course but due to personal circumstances I was not able to attend. This 30 day refund policy is out of all proportion and on top of that, there is not way to contact them. They just don't reply. I went to their FB page to write a message and nothing. The emails are all noreply and there is no way to contact them. They've now sent an email cancelling this event and are offering a refund but there is no way to activate this refund. I've sent a message requesting this refund an I am unsure if they will ever reply. I've just made a big note not to ever buy a course from them and will discourage anyone I know who might.

Jim, our expert, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his craft. It was a very informative afternoon which I greatly enjoyed. The wild snack at the end was surprisingly tasty!!! Many thanks.

Really enjoyable experience. Our host made sure everyone was engaged where they wanted to be and was really personable, answered everyone's question and included some really interesting personal anecdotes. We felt like we were in safe hands and we were very glad to be foraging around the Basecamp North Lakes as the day turned out very hot and sunny so easy access to the water stop and other facilities definitely made it a more comfortable event. Will definitely book for another workshop, they're great gifts as group activities. Thanks Jim!

Can't wait to do the experience itself, but buying a voucher was very easy!

Appalling customer service. We booked this for our family because our daughter has a strong interest in foraging, and is having mental health issues. This week, she sadly attempted to take her own life. Thankfully she is ok, but obviously not up to foraging, yet.

We explained this when we asked if we could come on a later date (we didn’t ask for a refund). A Family “Emergency” is just that - an emergency. It’s not possible to know of a Family Emergency 30 days in advance.

So today, my husband and other daughter are going to go on the event, while I stay home to ensure her safety.

No empathy or compassion or understanding or even a remote show of flexibility shown by Forage Box whatsoever.

I took part in a foraging taster today in Folkestone with Edi, I had a great time, Edi's knowledge was brilliant, he was friendly and welcoming and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome, he really brought foraging to life. Would definitely do another. Thank you

Very interesting and knowledgeable guide. Jim's overlap of experience with foraging and cooking made this a very rewarding experience. I'd really recommend it and plan to attend a future workshop in a different season.

I bought a 2 hours taster foraging, emailed a few days early to check meeting point, didn’t get a reply. Received an email the day before that went in my spam, informing me the event had been cancelled. No what’s app or call to ensure I had received this last minute message.i drove 2 hours to get there, only to see the event cancelled on Eventbrite website when I arrived. A waste of a Bank holiday.

Saw an ad for Forage Box and thought we would give it a try. So pleased we did as it was as great day out.
Jim really knows his stuff and passed some of his specialist knowledge across.
I have got to say that I did not think we would be eating hogweed and nettles for part of the lunch but the food was amazing.

Had the best day today with Joel in Sutton in Ashfield. Foraging at Brierley Park, learned so much about the local plants and enjoyed some tasty treats at the end. Joel was amazing. So knowledgeable and will definitely be booking again!!

Beautiful location, Jim was a great instructor and I found it to be a very relaxing and mindful day. Keen to do this again.

Loved my foraging morning. We were in a beautiful location near Ambleside and found plenty of interesting plants in such a short time. Eleanor was friendly, informative and very engaging. I came away enthused, and wrote up some notes to help me remember all the information. I made two foraged salads the following week, mainly using wild sorrel. I've since made dandelion honey and nettle cordial.
I think it was really beneficial to only have 4 people on the workshop. Too many people would be detrimental to the experience. Maybe up to 8 would be fine.

I joined Jim and six other forages at Barrow Bridge in Bolton. Words cannot describe how rewarding and enjoyable this was. Jim brought the world of foraging and wild food to life. We were eating things within 30 seconds of leaving the car park. Best money I ever spent even ignoring the free food we found.

Absolutely brilliant day and experience. Jim was very engaging with great knowledge and superb food. We loved experiencing new flavours and gaining knowledge of local plant species. Can't wait for his nettle and fermenting courses when he starts them up again.

I LOVED every minute of this!!! It was SO interesting & who knew how incredible the plants are that we walk past every day? Emily’s knowledge was extraordinary & she was so personable and clearly loves what she does. I cannot wait to try out my new found knowledge!!

We did the forage and nibble event in Sheffield only 15 minutes from where we live. How had I never seen these woods before? Our leader Joel was brilliant. He is so knowledgable and with enough science information for us to be reassured that we would be safe, but we weren’t overwhelmed by the science. The walk lasted three hours but the time went so quickly and we learned so much. This was an amazing experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough The snacks at the end were the icing on the cake - or the herb butter on the bread. Thanks
