I reached out to Laurence on LinkedIn after i'd seen his post summing up 2024 and after i'd read very good reviews about how Found Capital operate. Sure enough Found Capital have a nicely defined process to assess opportunities in a relatively short period of time. They also give clear feedback +ve's and -ve's so you have some real context rather than the usual "its too early for us" etc. Overall a good, quick and honest experience with clear feedback on your +ve's and the key things to work on!

Approached the Found team after Laurence reached out on LinkedIn. The experience, from the simple form structure, through to the actual feedback to our application (yes, FEEDBACK, from a real person!) was fantastic. I wish Laurence and Found all the best - a refreshing approach to the industry.

Were very helpful in structuring the whole process with speedy response times. Application to assessment was rapid. Feedback great at every stage.

The application process was slick and easy and communication was clear and prompt throughout. We didn't get investment but I appreciate the team's honest, polite and detailed feedback which is useful to us. We got meaningful advice too! (Though I'm not promising that they'll do that for every application).

I found this process relatively light touch compared to some other platforms and syndicates, and Laurence was quick to respond both on email and Linkedin throughout.

Did I get the outcome I wanted, no.......
But I felt the experience was a positive.
Good feedback and support, and this was fair and reasonable feedback - and this will hopefully also mean the door is open in future.

I wish all VCs and similar syndicates worked this openly!

Feedback is always appreciated from investors which many funds do not bother to provide to founders. This is where Found Capital adds value unlike many whom just ignore or provide zero feed back to founders !

Laurence and Found Capital gave clear and straightforward feedback unlike most on the funder side of the equation. With the number of decks they must review to find the few that fit their groups criteria, most of their answers will be a 'no'. However, the diligence with which they deliver that message provides good learning points for founders seeking funding.
