Once they have your money, all support and even employees dissapear!

When applying for a HELOC (2nd mortgage), I worked with professionals at Bethpage FCU, and was therefore impressed with the company. The company changed names to 4Leaf during this time.
AFTER closing on the loan (and spending it as was needed), all online customer service disappeared and turned over to untrained AI. And I get a letter informing me that I need an extra $1000/year flood insurance which was a new law SEVERAL YEARS AGO. Several years ago and they tell me about it now? I would have realized I could not afford this loan and not gone through with it (the monthly insurance payment is about 3 times my monthly loan payment!!!

To rub my face in it, they refuse to accept my request to open an escrow account. FEMA evidently doesn't like dealing with people directly, and AFTER I pay there seems to be no notice to 4Leaf, becuase 4Leaf then writes me nasty letters about paying it and buying more expensive insurance. They have done this twice! Then they need to cancel their own insurnace when they discover thei mistake/error f-up (and trying to get them educated in this problem is impossible).

No (desperately needed) customer service after-the-fact! I can't even find a department with someone that will act or make any decision.

There ought to be a broken law for these kinds of business actions. Run away from this company; I wish I could.

BEWARE Insufficient "escrow Balance"

BEWARE, ESCROW ANALYSIS and Insufficient funds. For a lot of us who were formally from Bethpage, after the transfer to fourleaf, they made an extra payment towards my "property taxes" soon after the transfer in July. The thing is, Taxes get charged April and Oct. I already paid April but they charged me in July and now informed me that it was a mistaken payment... My payments wouldve went up a couple of hundred dollars and they kept ignoring my clear logic around why my escrow balance should not be insufficient because I've actually been paying extra to offset and low escrow balance issues. The rep tried to make me feel like I didn't understand the issue when I own several pieces of real estate, am in real estate and understand how mortgages work well... I made a spreadsheet and clearly showed evidence there was money missing. I even asked for my escrow history report and they said they'd get it to me by the following monday, Monday came, nothing. I called back, they said Bethpage is slow so call back at the latest on the 25th which was over a week later.. Called back, they still don't have it. Honestly, I might report this to the FTC or CFPB if this is a common occurance.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience, my account was. Disabled and I called customer service and they said they don’t know what I’m talking about , and i already called and a lady said your account will be opened this Friday but the didn’t and I call today they said they dont know what I’m talking about #fourleat you customer service is terrible sorry to say I have been able to get access to my money all my bills are due I can’t get any done

Excellent Service at FourLeaf FCU in Riverhead

Had an appointment at the Riverhead, NY branch on 3/14/26 and met with Kelly A. (acct representative) & assisted by Kelly M. (Asst. Manager), and both were amazing! My family had a large number of transactions to do like opening & closing several accounts, setting up trust accounts, IRA distributions, adding POA & beneficiary. They were incredibly patient, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Both made the entire process smooth and stress free. We all felt they went above and beyond to make it a good experience, and their customer service was outstanding! Highly recommend visiting this branch.

Bank seems confused

Returned a leased car to dealership this past Dec 2025 Dealership paid off dispostion fee as well as remaing months Now the end of March i get letter and calls they have not received dispostion fee That of course is not true and they found out with more calls from me that i was right Now i get a letter they havent received the car back Icall up customer service they said they need car and they are owed 53 dollars Ihave all the papers to prove them wrong and will never do business with Four Leaf again as i have no time for their stupidity or nonsense

STOP ✋️🛑DO NOT GET ANY LOANS WITH THIS BANK! Once you get a loan with this bank they make it almost impossible to pay the debt unless you have cash, meaning money in your bank account! WORST AND MOST OUTDATED BANKING INSTITUTION EVER! Was formerly named Bethpage FCU, but still crap. They do not have online payment options, besides a balance transfer to pay your loans. as well as the automated line only accept bank routing and account number information from themselves or another banking institution. You can't even use your debit card on their website, automated service or live representative. This system is designed to generate late fees for the bank as well as causing derogatory marks on your credit due to extremely limited methods of payment options. THIS BANK DO NOT HAVE THE BEST INTEREST OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! And if, you want to break-up your payment as you get it or desire to pay more frequently, it will not accept less than the actual car note amount. TERRIBLE! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Attempting to get my 1099 forms for tax return. Got passed round 5 different people, wasted an hour and no resolution. Awful service, agents that don’t care, still don’t have the forms. Avoid at all costs

Invalid Suspicous Check Deposit

I cannot believe I have to make another bad review for FourLeaf but it is what it is. I am extremely disappointed with how FourLeaf Federal Credit Union handled my recent deposit. I deposited a legitimate government check, issued in my name, and instead of processing it normally, my account was locked for “suspicious activity.” I have called the resolution center who tried their best to help me but to no avail. I also attempted to reach the Chelsea Branch but did not receive any assistance.

I promptly provided clear photos of the front and back of the check as requested. Despite this, they continue to demand additional documentation that the issuing agency simply does not provide. A government-issued check should be verifiable through standard banking procedures — it should not result in a customer losing access to their own funds.

Because of this freeze, I am now significantly inconvenienced and unable to access money that belongs to me. Fraud prevention is important, but members should not be treated as guilty by default when depositing valid checks.

I am demanding a prompt and fair resolution so my account access can be restored without further delay. Situations like this create unnecessary financial stress and reflect poor communication and member handling. I hope FourLeaf improves its verification process so other members are not put in the same position. It is a shame because I planned to return to the Chelsea Branch to establish a business membership and utilize a HYS premium. They cleared $225 of my $321 check but are making me provide documentation for the remaining funds. That makes no sense. The check is legitmate and I feel insulted that they would find such little bit of money as suspicous. I remain faithful to this institution and hope that this is resolved as soon as possible. All of this fuss just to clear $96 dollars is honestly ridiculous. The procedures must be compatible to the reality of the world. My check was legitimately issued to me. I never comitted fraud with this institution and I feel targeted. I cannot ask the government for documents that do not exist. Please advise as soon as possible.
