Stole legos from an old person's family and threatened to bury the old person in litigation if they fought.
The old person's family fights and garners online attention.
Now they suddenly don't want to go down that route with bigger companies behind the old person's family.
The CEO was directly involved so they can't even try to pull the franchise excuse.

BAM is a very shady company
BAM is a very shady company, who won't stand up for customers who have had their Legos stolen by franchise owners. And when someone steps up and does the right thing to try to get a guy his $200,000 collection back from a Bricks & Minifigs store, the CEO does nothing. And now BAM corporate is suing the guy that trying to help. Such a terrible company.
