I would give it zero stars if it was a…

I would give it zero stars if it was a choice. I was just there and an employee told me that the store was closed. When I said “ it’s not 10 pm” he replied “ we don’t take customers after 2155”. It was 2156 by my watch which is a little fast! Shame on you for forcing me to go down the street to Walmart. I probably even saved some money.

Always a pleasure

🤔 I'm not exactly sure why all these people are complaining... It's a fantastic store with ultimate customer service!
Yes, sometimes they are out of things, but that kind of goes with the times these days...

Still great prices without the coupons (with the club card, of course) and even better with the monthly customer appreciation coupons!

Has everything I need, plus some. My absolute favorite grocery store!

my whole 44 years of life fredmeyers has been very good quality and pricing. and now living in the worst of times with prices sky high fred meyers quality and pricing is the best! whoever owns and controls fred meyers i want to say thank you for what your store provids people! thank you very much!

Buyer beware - Fred Meyer wants to scan your drivers license

Fred Meyer is truly a One Stop Shopping. Hackers can use Fred Meyer One Stop Shopping to get your driver’s license information. Fred Meyer requires driver’s license to be scanned with a liquor purchase. In this age of ID theft, it seems like a bad idea to have my driver’s license on a stores system. We all know no system is hack proof. There is no reason a store needs a copy of my driver’s license. Checking ID is one thing but scanning ID? Why does a corporation need my driver’s license information and what is Fred Meyer doing with that information?

I am done with Fred Meyer

I am done with Fred Meyer. These are my reasons:
- They change the layout every few years. I spend more time looking for what I need. I REFUSE to buy anything else other than what is on my list. I know that this strategy is intentional. Google, "Why Do Grocery Stores Change Their Layout?" It's a waste of my time to shop at Fred Meyer
- They use to be a great store until Kroger bought them out. Their prices are too high and you only get sale prices if you use your coupons....huge hassle and time consumer.
- They have empty shelves and often don't have what I need. I have to go to another store... a huge waste of my time.
Shopping at Fred Meyer is a waste of my time.

Pick up is worst

Pick up is worst. They don’t let you know if it’s out-of-stock until you get there. No emails or texts given.
I get it that things get sold out but you have to at least give me notification about it because I can’t use my $15 off coupon on $75 over orders!!
I tried two time and both didn’t redeem because of this. They don’t let me know until I get there and they say “Hey, these are the list of out of stock”.
I really hate your pick up system.

Have you heard that writing leaves a record?

Fred Meyer - Jan 21 order
Fred Meyer charged my EBT account for an order that was cancelled, then didn't refund me. They told me it would take a month, so I waited. Then they told me that the charge had been reversed (it wasn't). Then they told me charge never happened. I emailed screen shots of my account, showing the charge and the subsequent history, to prove I was right. Then they said it wasn't a Fred Meyer charge. Sp I got a screenshot of my EBT history from the gov't, showing date, time, merchant, and amount. Then I got an email saying they were sorry, and I should call. The CSR told me the charge wsan't in my account. I told her to check emails, she refused and told me to contact my bank. (EBT is not run by a bank.) I called and talked to several people, who teminated the call when I told them to check the email proof. Live chat hung up on me immediately when I started with "I am furious." They don't seem to understand that I am the injured party. You might hear people say I have been hostile today, but, as Flavor Flav says, "I got a right to be hostile." I was having trouble using the phone because of my hearing disability, wanted a reasonable accommodation that live chat would help me. Refused. Now I have an ADA civil rights complaint.

Edit: more insanity.
Mark Anthony actually sent me this email:

"Thank you for contacting Kroger Customer Connect, I am more than happy to assist.

I am so sorry to learn that your EBT card was charged for an order that was cancelled. I would love to get this issue resolved for you, however, this will be best done via a telephone call, this way, all technical issues can be recorded, and the issue can be rectified as quickly and as best as possible. Please feel free to call us at 1-800-576-4377 and reference case number 44914114."

Would somebody please tell Mark Anthony that writing leaves a record? and it's a good thing we are doing everything in writing, as this is proof that he is ignoring my request for a reasonable accommodation for my hearing disability (allowing me to communicate to Fred Meyer in a way that is not calling). And that he must have been absent when they taught about writing leaving a record.

Fredmeyer.com System Fix took 30 days of calls

It took over 30 days, six to ten phone calls per day, and four chats with on line customer service per day to straighten out my problems with fredmeyer.com. You will wait OVER 20 minutes per call before you get connected with a human. After explaining your problem, the rep will transfer you. It will take another 20 minutes or more until anyone comes on the phone to talk to you, but USUALLY after waits of up to 45 minutes you will suddenly get a DIAL TONE AND BE DISCONNECTED. They not only do not hire enough reps, they do not give the reps thorough training to fix problems with the FM system. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY STORE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

On-line System Won't Answer or Work

Disabled, elderly customer dependent on home delivery by using on line order app. I attempted five times today to log on and to order. Each attempt resulted in a message saying that the item could not be added to my cart. This was true for each and every item. The order app is not working at all. FIVE PHONE CALLS TO LISTED NUMBER RESULTED IN BEING PUT ON HOLD ALL FIVE TIMES FOR OVER 3O MINUTES PER CALL. No calls back. No change on site. No groceries. No explanations when I called the store, just transfers to the same number for a SIXTH CALL which was never answered. No groceries. I hope the Fred Meyer management team gets to go without food for a few days. Disabled and can't drive. No help available from any source.

Proper restock

I usually love this store, but when they say they are restocking on a product in the morning. I shouldn’t call that morning and be told. “Oh they sold them all last night”. Stick to your restock schedule!! This is not the first time this has happened either. If this happens again Fred Meyer will lose my business.

Worst Pick Up Experience Yet!!

Doing a Grocery Pick Up here was a true test of my patience! First of all, there are no signs at the Lancaster & Market Street location that clearly state you have to drive BEHIND the building to get to the pick up area. They contacted me to say that my order was ready but I waited almost 10 minutes in the pick up spot before I was told it would be another 10 at least, before my order was brought out. There were also items that were out of stock and it took them almost 2 full weeks to get the credit to my account. We won't be using this service again.

The App STEALS

Please please please check your receipt BEFORE you leave the store if you insist on using their cheating lying app that will rob you blind if you aren't paying attention. TWICE in one week I'm FORCED to return to wait in line at their (lack of) customer service desk why? Coupons and promises were false. They were merely enticing me to use their app and realize most don't bother checking receipts. FM you are an abusive retailer. I no longer like you at all, and will do all I can to warn others, YOU CHEAT and HATE your customers.

WOW NOW GOOD OLE FREDDY'S IS TRACKING, SURVEILLING, AND INVADING OUR PRIVACY, AND COERCING ALL SHOPPERS TO ALLOW TOTAL VIOLATION OF OUR PRIVACY, FINANCIAL INFO, AND PURCHASE RECORD.
IN ORDER TO GET THEIR SALE PRICES.
Millions including myself, loved Fred Meyer grocery and department superstores in Oregon and the NW, for MANY DECADES. they had good things for sale, and very good prices. they always had great sales and coupons. They were far better than Walmart because of the quality, and local foods, and organic/ health sections.
BUT. then the CHRISTIAN OWNER died, and later the family sold out, and Kroger bought the chain. Things started a bit downhill, but not too much. It was however noticeable.
NOW, THEY ARE FORCING PEOPLE TO GET THEIR LOYALTY CARD ( FM? KROGER?) IN ORDER TO GET THE ADVERTISED SALE PRICES.
WOW, KROGER. 666 MUCH?
this is an extreme sin and disservice against the public. For all these decades, you just looked at the ad and went shopping. NO joining or clubbing or card required. HOWEVER, NOW THEY WON'T GIVE ANY SALE PRICE WITHOUT THE LOYALTY CARD.
that is unbeliveably outrageous. Coercive and extortive, rapacious. Let us into your private info or NO food you can afford!
If you don't want to be tracked, and your every usage , every purchased item , every payment method tracked, collected, stored and your info sold, well, TOO BAD! they will strongarm you and force you into it or NO sale prices. The nice low prices that you see in ads, ARE NO LONGER FOR ANYONE BUT THE ONES WITH THEIR SURVEILLANCE TRACKING , PRIVACY INVASION, PRIVACY VIOLATION SNOOPING DEVICE.
...Bye Freddy. It was nice while you weren't working for the Devil. Old man Meyer would be sooo turning over in his grave.
