A friend who works in care clicked on a Facebook post saying she could be owed tax.
Being a nightshift care worker it took her eye. She filled in the online questions and conveniently told she was owed tax because she had overpaid. Next thing she is recieving phone calls, texts and letters telling her she had not paid the fees for their services and had incurred a large bill. She had not given the go-ahead - she was simply making enquiries. Next thing she is recieving letters threatening debt collectors. My friend called HMRC and was advised to ignore all forms of communication but she explained she will call the company and inform them they will not be getting any further information and she would not pay any fees and informed them that HMRC are investigating them. She also requested all further forms of contact to be by post only. Fredrick Edwards associates then hung up on the phone. Been advised they are clever scammers who use click bate on numerous social media platforms. Report report and report some more. If HMRC owe you money they will make contact with you. Remember - If it sounds to good to be true then it usually is.

Avoid at all cost!!!

Avoid at all cost!!!.
First they get your signature from an online form and affix it to a letter of authority which you would not have a chance to read and agree to first before signing.

They would assure you it is a "No win no fees arrangement"

They always avoid written correspondence so you do not have any evidence to hold against them.

They are 3 business working together
a. Tax Refund Team
b. Fredrick Edwards Associates
c. Fredrick Edwards Limited
They all have same registered office address and Directors. Check on Company's house website

They will confuse you as to who you are dealing with.

They have no intention of providing any meaningful help. The moment you decide you have had enough and ask to cancel, they hide behind the agreement and insist you owe cancellation fees. In the end you are asked to pay even more than the amount they claimed they would recover for you, despite never delivering any service of real value

If you refuse to pay, they would assign your debt to a collection agent and your interest keeps growing.

If you have had any dealings with them, here are the steps i advice you to take.

Report then to

1. the Information Commissioner’s Office. The company purport their ICO Registration Number as ZB022211, which you should quote when reporting

2. Report them to HMRC through their online form

3. Report them to Trading Standards

4. Report them to Citizen's advice

5. Report to the Police.

Let us begin to massively report this organisation to save others from falling prey

Iam being scammed by this company, they are rube and corrupt, they say at the beginning they are going to help you get your tax back but all they do is charge you over £100 of pounds for a mistake that I didn’t make, I can’t believe Iam in this mess as Iam so careful with these thieves that they are, Iam a single mum and the abuse and threats you get of this company are disgraceful.

Scam company

As with all the other reviews , I wouldn’t give a single star for this rude, aggressive and appalling company.
I filled out , what I thought was standard enquiry form on a social media page advertising that I may be able to get a tax refund , to then be told on a phone call from this company that I had signed into a contract and that they had my signature ?! -the only reason they had my signature was because on the enquiry form it is stated that a signature was requested in order for them to approach HMRC with my permission - as a ‘letter of authority’ it is not clear that this also means you are signing into a contract with them?!. Any decent company would send you a copy of the signed contract - I never received this if I had it done I would’ve cancelled it during the cooling off period I didn’t even remember that I done the form until I started getting phone calls and text messages from them. The only phone call I had with them since signing the form, I was read out their set of terms and conditions - at which point I said ‘no thanks I’m not interested’. This is when I was told that I was in a contract and that I had no choice as whether to be involved.

I have since ‘cancelled’ even though I was completely unaware from the start that I was even in a contract - and been billed for £72 cancellation fee - not quite sure how this has been calculated for services not rendered? -apart from being bombarded with text messages and nuisance (unanswered) phone calls. After all, I had already told them on the initial phone call that I wasn’t interested after terms and conditions were read out to me by their operator.

Surely this isn’t legal? They must be making a fortune as it seems either way they obtain money for doing pretty much nothing! I have approached trading standards and so hoping they can help to resolve.

My advice -as with everyone else’s :!!!!DO NOT USE!!!! Very disappointed as this company lacks any sort of professional and competent customer service skills and has no interest in the customer -only their money.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. Received information from Lawton Hathaway regarding a debt recovery payment that has been requested from Fredrick Edwards Associates. This is for a Tax reclaim that I know nothing about out. I’ve never asked or had any work carried out by Fredrick Edwards Associates. The fee is for £288.
In addition all of the information online suggests that Fredrick Edwards is a scam company.
Please report this company. Absolutely shocking business

DON'T ENGAGE WITH THE COMPANY

DON'T ENGAGE WITH THE COMPANY. Andy Howden, Head of Operations responded to a complaint i made about the incessant phone calls I was receiving after a foolishly enquired about a tax rebate.

After a few calls I decided I did not want to do business with them and asked to be removed from the database. This appeared to be a humongous task of which NO ONE was capable of doing. What they were able to do was book a call for an agent to call me. Long story short I was lead to believe they had removed me from the mailing list. They are now harassing me and have NOT done what they said.

ANYONE ELSE having issues...please report them to the ICO so we can expose these disrespectful cowboys

Don’t let these scammers bully you

Fredrick Edwards Limited and Fredrick Edwards Associates Limited will hide behind the fact they're two registered companies with "similar names". Except what they won't tell you is that they share company directors, addresses, email inboxes, and even registered Data Protection Officers.

They are ostensibly the same company, using separate limited companies to mitigate legal and financial risk to their original organisation while they run their shakedown on the side.

When I engaged with their Instagram advert in 2023, Fredrick Edwards Associates Limited (whose Trustpilot has magically disappeared since I mentioned it to them), used the same logo as Fredrick Edwards limited. They sent all emails to me from hello [at] fredrickedwards. They even used the same logo on all of their documentation.

My personal information has now illegally been shared between organisations without my consent — accessible through a shared inbox by any Fredrick Edwards Limited employee, and sent to a third party debt collection insecurely. This includes my name, address, national insurance number, and signature. Perfect for anyone looking to steal an identity.

I know it was sent insecurely, because the debt collection company Judges Demand Ltd actually took the time to respond to my data subject access request I sent via the ICO. Fredrick Edwards Limited claimed they could not find me on their "system" — despite emails being sent to me from hello [at] fredrickedwards, and I am yet to receive a response to my numerous complaints in 8 weeks from Fredrick Edwards Associates Ltd.

This company will capture your information without any kind of privacy policy and then share it between companies without your consent. They will claim that you owe them money without you ever receiving any terms and conditions or privacy policy from them. Then they use Judges Demand Ltd who are complicit in their scam to threaten you with court action when you refuse to pay their "fee".

I have asked for evidence I was provided with terms and conditions, signed a contract, a privacy policy, reason why Fredrick Edwards Limited refuses to acknowledge that my data went through their servers and would have been accessible to their employees, and why their Data Protection Officer, Richard Render has refused to reply to my emails instead fobbing me off to another inept employee who rudely replies to emails stating that they will violate ICO guidelines by sending a DSAR well out of the 30 day window.

I implore anyone not to engage with this company or any of their other trading names — Fredrick Edwards Associates Limited, We Love RND etc.

You only have to Google "Richard Render tax" to find out the kind of people they are. Do you really want to trust a man who was banned from being a company director for 6 years for paying himself £150k despite owing the HMRC more than a quarter of a million?

If you have had the misfortune of dealing with these convicted scammers, please, please complain to the ICO. The more of us that do, the more likely this company is going to get hit with a fine.

Though I'm sure Richard won't mind on his £150k a year while refusing to pay his taxes.

Avoid These Scammers

Avoid These Scammers
I was contacted by these people about claiming ppi tax back I spoke to them and said it wasn't worth it so no thanks two weeks later received a letter saying thank you for allowing us to act for you so I phoned them and said I hadn't allowed them to act for me they said so your cancelling I said yes and ever since they have been hounding me for £300 cancellation fee well I have contacted my solicitor and they say I can sue them Brian Fielding
Read their reply it is them as I contacted companies house and they said there are several aliases all come from the same address so a load of toss not knowing me
Update just been onto Fredrick Edward's employment site and guess what it's the same address that I have got on my letter well I have informed HMRC and the IFAC also the ICAEW of these malpractices they are carrying out
Update no 2
I'm in stockport next week with a few of my associates so will be calling at your offices I have also invited the media
Update no 3
We have done further research into this company there are two companies in this building Fredrick edwards Ltd and Fredrick Edward's associates a mr Andre Snijdrs a Dutch owner and MD of both companies they have 6 staff and all trained to scam and lie to people so do not ever use these people
Update no 4 thank you to all those people that have contacted me on the other site to many to answer individually I will get published as I have forwarded all the relevant paperwork but these people saying that I dont exist is good as sending letters out to unknown people demanding money is a criminal offence in this country so will be contacting the police later
