It said I was over character limit when I wasn't, and the conversion didn't even work. When I tried again, it said I needed to pay money. Terrible service.

This tts is very simple and easy to use, and the limit of free words in a week is very fair imo :)

It should allow 5k per day. Not per week. Sometimes the enunciation is not quite right so you have to re-submit sometimes more than once; that costs you characters. I would love to see a Filipino male voice. But I do love your service and once you learn how to work it; it's one of the most natural sounding out there. I am glad I found this service.

This Service is Best: I recommend to add futurestic voice or robotic voice

I am a long-term user of various TTS. Have a big collection of them. I can say that this FREETTS is great. It has various functions. It is very comfortable to use. It has a free version, which is enough for using in a small clip. The price is very democratic. You can use it with commercial rights. It is the only one around the Internet, which has my native Ukrainian language! It is the best! Thanks to authors of it. Blessings and Kind regards,

I won't have given any star at if I were allowed. I sent an email asking for a review so one could convert as many characters as one needs. It was not even replied after two weeks, not to talk of acting on the request.
I not for once made any use of the monthly characters purchased. This is highly disappointing.

Mac desktop APP not working

Website is working well but not working desktop app in mac , MAC OS name is Big Sur version 11.0.1 is version

I tried with short and lengthy texts but getting same error message in popup that "Not enough characters left!"

What should i do ?

Would have given no stars but not allowed. I needed a text- to- speech facility for a project I'm working on, came across freetts, was attracted by pay as you go offer of 1 million characters which I purchased. Unable to access the characters after purchase so e mailed...no response for several days then received e mail saying they'd had technical problems and to try again. I was instructed to go to members area verify e mail and all would be well. Except that it wasn't....I verified e mail address, 1 million characters appeared yet when I pasted text in appropriate area I was again met with error notice stating that 5000 characters was max. Complained again and got some nonsense excuse that there was a server issue and I should try 5000 character segments? Well what is the point of paying for 1 million characters only to be forced to do the project in incremental 5000 character steps? I cancelled and requested a refund. Today I was told my fee refunded but then found that PayPal have charged me a fee to process refund, so disillusioned, out of pocket, time wasted thoroughly amateurish operation.

For me, is EXCELLENT

This is a really brilliant service. It's easy to use and the UK Male voice is probably the best synthesised voice I've ever heard. I have already referred FreeTTS to my colleagues who, like me, are developing educational programs. Paying $5 for a million characters is great value for money. But even the daily free 6000 characters is enough for most purposes. I got by on that for some time. Really useful.
