Julie and subsequently Tess

Firstly the young lady who we first saw at the branch in Basingstoke, Julie, was very pleasant and helpful and secondly we made an appointment to see a funeral plan advisor and were seen by Tess who was extremely helpful and informed and advised us to our complete satisfaction.

Guaranteed price funeral plans

Apart from the extortionate prices all funeral directors charge for this essential service it was quite easy to arrange our funeral plans and a lot cheaper online than getting a telephone quote or in store.
Had to wait 3 weeks and be reminded that they owed me the discount from my Co op membership card but happily recieved it in my bank account this morning, thankyou. Glad that we have pre paid for our funerals which we hope not to have to use for a long time yet and peace of mind that now our children won't have any hidden expenses when the time comes as co op guarantee the price paid now against any future price rises and can use the plans anywhere in the country if we move.
Would recommend Co op funeral care services.

Face to face PLEASE

Many elderly people can't deal with online, phone calls. We need face to face chats. Where is a receipt for the £4000+ I paid, almost my complete savings. ?
You quoted cost for two items which turned out to be wrong because you had not checked. Your employee , when I complained, passed the buck on to another employee.It has been a frustrating and anxious experience. I hope I don't have any more worries to deal with.

I am sorry that your experience purchasing a plan has not been to the high standard we expect.
I will look into the matters raised in the review and make contact to resolve these.

In regards the the receipt, I can see that on the 22nd May 2024 we sent out - Funeral Plan Welcome Letter, the Funeral Plan Certificate and the Funeral Plan Summary.
If these have not arrived via Royal Mail by the end of this week can you please call us and we can send them again.

Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience or worries we may have caused.

Jacqui was brilliant

Jacqui was brilliant. She went through everything step by step with my Dad, explaining things and taking her time. There was no pressure and plenty of patience. Really appreciated how kind and helpful Jacqui was throughout, from first meeting to finalising the plan.

Kindness, compassion, and great service

I chose Southern Co-operative Funerals because of their great service, kindness and compassion. I used them for my husband’s funeral a couple of years ago and my mother’s before that. Nothing was too much trouble. Therefore, when choosing a funeral plan for myself, I went where I had had such good service previously. When the time comes, I know my loved ones will treated well when making final arrangements.
