Unsolicited calls from this company
I was contacted by a gentleman just moments ago claiming that I had requested a call about investments.
There is nothing more annoying than unsolicited calls under false pretences.
1. Until today I had never heard of this company.
2. I have never requested a call, email, or anything from any finance, investment or share companies in my life.
3. They either snatched my information from a pop up advert online using cookies.
4. Or they have purchased a marketing list that has my information on it.
These marketing lists are often sold by people who steal, copy, or collate information illegally.
They create a database and sell it as a marketing list, which is then sold over and over again.
This is why you often get calls from companies and scammers even after requesting they remove your information.
These investment companies are a particular irritation because they almost always call and talk to you as if they know you, or they pretend to have talked to you once before.
I have verified the number used to call me on their website.
It is listed to a senior account manager by the name of Oscar Reeves, the number used was +44 (0) 203 657 3810.
Personally I highly recommend avoiding any company who uses such underhanded and despicable methods to contact people.
If you can't trust them to be honest when contacting you, then how can you trust them to manage your money.
Companies like this sicken me, they make my skin crawl, because they feel just like the rest of the scammers trying to con you out of your life savings.
