Amazing Morocco! One Unforgettable Experience at a Time
10 of us, one big Moroccan circle, and countless unforgettable moments. We had a 14-day tour with Gate to Morocco, travelling as a group from Malaysia. The tour was arranged as a grand circle, starting in Casablanca and continuing to Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, and the Sahara Desert as the highlight, followed by the coastal town of Essaouira and Marrakech before returning to Casablanca. The entire journey was amazing, and we were constantly impressed by the changing landscapes, rich history, and diverse cultural experiences that Morocco had to offer.
We had experienced four imperial cities along the journey, each of the cities has its own unique character and offers a wonderful variety of handmade crafts in its medinas. We had so much fun strolling through the streets with our local guides, shopped for all kinds of souvenirs and local products especially in Fes and Marrakech. For Asians, cuisine is always an important attraction, we enjoyed delicious local food in the south, fresh seafood in the coastal towns, and even fine Spanish cuisine in modern city like Rabat. Tajines are definitely the top pick!
Among all the destinations in our customized itinerary, the Sahara Desert was definitely the highlight! We spent two nights in comfortable desert camps and explored various parts of the local area, including visiting nomadic families and an oasis in the desert. These experiences were truly eye-opening and gave us a deeper understanding of local life.
The tour would not have been possible without our tour planner and guide, Hicham. He carefully arranged the itinerary according to our requests and often went beyond our expectations to accommodate our needs. Hicham is very knowledgeable about Moroccan history and local stories, he was always attentive to our needs and travelled with us as part of the team.
It was an unforgettable journey for all of us, and we will definitely recommend to our friends who wish to visit this splendid country!
