Gaviscon Avis 13

I purchased a bottle of Gaviscon Advance.
After returning from a holiday the Gaviscon had become lumpy and thick.
I wrote to the company and they asked for details on the bottle together with a photograph. These were sent promptly.

They haven't had the courtesy to respond to me. I find this so very rude.

Works but tastes absolutely awful and nothing like berry but it says it’s meant to taste like berry so only use if ur having really bad stomach aces because if not not worth drinking that it’s horrid

After using H2 blockers and PPIs to manage persistent reflux due to a hiatus hernia and getting bad side effects I decided to try looking for something more natural as I realized other antacids have too much magnesium in them to be taken long term. I have got to say Gavinatura has been a life saver for me. They manage the reflux effectively and the calcium they contain seems to have had the positive effect of helping my joint pain, after taking them for a few months. No more nasty side effects from PPIs for me. The taste isn't amazing but the benefits far out way this in my opinion. I hope they keep making these forever!

(BOOTS ) own brand heartburn relief loads better than gaviscon ! Thicker! Not watered down!! And half the price even cheaper with a BOOTS card! Keep away from the greedy cheaters gaviscon!!!!!

Just bought a new bottle of Gaviscon Advance and see they have reduced the size from 300ml to 250ml!

I live in Portugal. I buy the Gaviscom sachets for acid reflux. I buy these because the company (I assume) has not made the product available in bottles here. The sachets are hugely expensive here - almost one Euro each. For a tiny amount of the fluid. I assume the bottles are much cheaper. Worse, the opening of the sachets often does not work. Imagine getting an acid reflux in the middle of the night, trying to open the sachet and then having to search for scissors.

It seems to me that Reckitt has found a way to vastly increase the cost of Gaviscom by packaging up a tiny amount instead of allowing us to buy the bottles. In addition, is it not time to reduce the amount of plastic?

Awful customer service online queries not replied to
Their advert on the radio pronounces their Gaviscon product for "intergestion" it's INDIGESTION!

For almost a year I have been asking Reckitt how much salt is in a desert spoon - 5mls - of their product liquid Gaviscon. When I remind them I have had no response a person replies that they sent my request to the relevant person, with reminders, who never responds. Then I tried Facebook messaging Reckitt and at last a reply - albeit rude - appeared. All I was told was to read the product insert! There is no product insert with bottles of Gaviscon and I can't find the information on their site. In effect Reckitt told me to look it up myself from a non-existent source. I will avoid Reckitt. These too big companies disdain customers.

This is a terrible company. I had used this product before on the recommendation of a doctor. I decided to try it again and bought a bottle of Gaviscon Liquid. After making the purchase, I saw a different Gaviscon product online that I hadn't been aware of: Gaviscon Double Action.

I contacted the manufacturer of Gaviscon (GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Holdings (US) LLC.) through the consumer support email provided on Gaviscon.com and asked which of their 2 liquid products was better for nighttime acid reflux.

I received a rudely curt reply from someone named Karlo saying that GSK cannot discuss products they didn't manufacture. I replied to this email asking why their email was provided on Gaviscon.com when they deny manufacturing that brand of products. "Karlo" did not even have the courtesy to reply to my message. I doubt that he even read my first email before refusing to provide support for the product I had purchased. I started using this brand nearly 20 years ago and had no idea it was run by such sleazy people.

This is the most outright rude and irresponsible company I have ever encountered. If you buy this brand, don't expect any support or customer service from the manufacturer who will even deny having made the product to avoid answering questions.
