Luxury car with terrible customer service

Unfortunately, the support service at Genesis is very poor and disappointing. It's a shame for this classy car with such a poor dealership in Ottawa and Montreal. Whenever you call Genesis Canada to handle a complaint, there is always only one man who answers the call with complete rudeness and disrespect, introducing himself as the manager of Genesis Canada.

Genesis und Service

Genesis und Service, da kann man nur lachen wenn es nicht zum Heulen wäre. Leere Versprechungen( Hol- und Bringeservice, Alle Verschleisteile Inklu.bei Durchsicht usw.) Einfach nur eine Frechheit. "Premium Service Partner" Service Nachweise gibt es nicht, Fahrzeug wird dreckig zurückgegeben, Arbeitsleistung völlig indiskutabel! Ich kann nur jeden abraten !Schade um die Fahrzeuge die sind wirklich Premium. Ich habe noch nie so einen schlechten Service gehabt und das bei einen Fahrzeug für 90 Tsd Euro !!! Im Osten gibt es nur zwei "Premiumpartner." Einer in Berlin und einer in Dresden. Wenn Du also außerhalb dieser 50Km vom "Premiumpartner" wohnst must Du Dein Fahrzeug selbst abliefern und holen ! Genial. Kauft euch lieber einen KIA oder Hyunday da gibt es ein funktionierendes Werkstattnetz und die meiste Technik im Auto ist die gleiche. Nie wieder Genesis !!!

I wanted to write a honest review regarding Genesis service centre at Peterborough.
Firstly what a great experience they booked my car in for an alarm fault that kept setting off the anti theft alarm
A brand new GV60 was dropped off and mine loaded up on to a trailer and taken to Peterbrough.
Delivery guy was very helpful.
Got a call the following day from Martyn at Peterbrough to inform me they had the car and the technician was running some tests and that they would keep me updated on the progress.
Every other day Martyn has called to update me on what they have found which I believe has been a long process ruling different things out and very thorough as they have had the car over two weeks now but have been updated every other day by Martyn with the progress.
Whilst in they also have changed the wiper blades for me, gave the car a health check and finally found the fault which is a siren!
The part was ordered and fitted and I should have the car back in the next few days .
Just want to say how happy Iam with the service I’ve been given.
I would highly recommend Peterbrough service centre and especially Martyn who has been so helpful.

Fraudulent repair - duct tape and twist ties

My Genesis vehicle was in for a repair which required a part to be replaced (covered by insurance). The specific part was provided to them by the insurance company and they kept the part and did the repair with duct tape and twist ties. Luckily the insurance repair shop caught this and called Genesis out on and forced them to redo it with the part that was provided. Photos back this up. Fraud by trying to keep the part for their own benefit?

Genesis GV60 EV

I purchased a Genesis GV60 EV and after approx 11,000 miles, there was a warning on my vehicle suggesting there was an issue with the battery and instructed I contact my local dealer. I called the service department for 15 minutes no response, so attempted to contact the sales department with a similar result, therefore I contacted Genesis who offered to send out a specialist from the AA. On arrival his first question was what kind of car is this? He then plugged into my vehicle and informed me there was an issue with the battery and it would be necessary to take it to Portsmouth for inspection and he would arrange for collection of my vehicle. I said I could not release my vehicle until such time as I received a replacement from Genesis, the AA man said no I would in due course receive a vehicle from Enterprise, so I explained to him Genesis had a policy that when the vehicle had an issue they would collect my vehicle leaving a replacement. It became necessary for me to contact the sales personnel at the dealership to reinforce my position, only to be informed the two sales personnel were no longer working there and the replacement policy only applied to servicing of vehicles which conveniently only occur every 2 years although my car tells me differently daily! I'm offered a pertol vehicle which I flatly refuse as I've been driving EV's for environmental reasons for quite a few years, ultimately I get an EV and my vehicle is taken to Portsmouth fro North Yorkshire. Upon arrival at Portsmouth I receive a call from someone booking in the car enquiring what the problem is! The car is booked in and checked I get a video report confirming there is a fault with the battery but also I need two new wipers £100 after 11,000 miles? Unfortunately this dealership didn't repair batteries and it would have to go to a dealership in Tilbury!!!!! I'm told by Genesis it may be there for a few weeks!!! and that was after me progress chasing. It's a calamity I thought I was purchasing a prestigous EV vehicle from a reliable company, but frankly I'm not impressed, although in fairness I like the car but service is very poor and sparse!

I am reviewing the Genesis Connected…

I am reviewing the Genesis Connected Services customer service ONLY. I bought a 2025 GV80 from a Cadillac dealership and quickly called the connected services to reset, reprogram the dashboard removing previous owners. It had been TWO months and dealing with folks answering the phone who had no clue and ONLY TWO returned calls during that time. The last call, which took over 2 weeks to return, I told her we had to reset the entire car and start from scratch. I got this, "So, the issue can be erased from the system now"? Are you serious .. HORRIBLE service - HORRIBLE! No apologies, just move on and ignore as fast as you can .. AWFUL!

Defective 2026 Genesis GV70 windshield

Bought a 2026 Genesis GV70 6 months ago. Noticed a crack in the windshield. No impact mark. The dealership told me it must have been a small rock chip. It does not take much to damage the windshield and the cost to replace it is about $1500-1800 because of all the sensors. Drove a Cadillac CTS for 15 years without a single crack. Genesis windshields are defective. Will never buy a Genesis again.

GENESIS SUCKS

GENESIS SUCKS! They have many flaws! Headlights break anytime a rock hits them head on! Only one store in all of San Antonio and they suck especially Gayle! Always need maintainance and get shitty gas mileage! You've been warned!

Excellent service

Just wanted to post a genuine review of Genesis Castle Hill Service Centre and Guy's team, which includes Anton, Pedro and admin staff. Unfortunately due to a family situation, I wasn't able to complete a purchase of a Genesis GV70 (An incredible vehicle). Guy and his team were so approachable and professional in how they accommodated my circumstances. No pressure, just genuine and compassionate diligence to my situation. It is so refreshing to experience this level of integrity and aptitude to adjust to Customer's needs.
We truly appreciate your team’s professional approach from start to finish and a true testament to your values and customer service focus. We look forward to a future purchase, hopefully sometime soon

I have my Genesis GV80 Coupe in at Castle Hill Genesis / Hyundai for differential replacement at 10k - 🤨
You would think with spending over $100000 you would not have such issues but unfortunately this is the real world these days. I have rung several times for updates but service to call back with any updates have been zero - my Nissan is so much better with service updates - the Genesis is such a lovely car but service department is dreadful, anyway I’m still waiting on a call back from my latest message I left earlier today but that has not happened. Love the car but may buy a BMW next time as they have better customer service.
P.S They did supply loan car GV70 but gave it to me empty so I had to get fuel straight away which wasn’t convenient as well !

Service? Welcher Service?

GV 60 Sport. Schön zu fahren, sparsam, ruhig, leistungsstark. Software leider nicht sehr benutzerfreundlich, Navi führt auch öfter mal ins Nirwana. Und der Service: die totale Enttäuschung. Die beauftragten Werkstätten (Genesis hat nämlich keine und Hyundai machts auch nicht): inkompetent, langsam unfreundlich. Da nutzt das schönste auto nichts.

A great experience without pushy salesman!

My wife and I visited Genesis in Warrington and were greeted by Liam, the Genesis expert. The experience was truly 5⭐️.

Liam was knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the Genesis range, which made the visit thoroughly enjoyable.

There’s nothing worse than a pushy salesperson focused solely on closing a deal, Liam was the complete opposite — professional, approachable, and informative. Thank you for taking the time to explain the car in detail and for offering us a great test drive.

I only wish all car dealerships operated in this way. You are a credit to Evans Halshaw!

Terrible customer service. App still not working after 2 weeks

Got the GV70 electrified from Genesis Laval 2 weeks ago. They made a mistake when registering the app. Since then despite several hours on the phone with Genesis support still no app to control the car. The remote with the key fob also does not work. We kind of regret this purchase now that we experienced the bad customer service from both the dealership and Genesis themself.

Habe einen Elektro GV 70 seit gut 2 Jahren. Von Anbeginn, bis heute, zeigt das Navigationssystem in bestimmten Fällen falsche Werte, z. B. die Höhe der Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung der GEGENRICHTUNG, aber nicht den richtigen Wert der eigenen Fahrtrichtung. Habe das mehrfach moniert, beim ersten Mal noch nicht mal eine Antwort erhalten, danach war der Wagen deshalb 2 x in der Werkstatt, wurde mir danach aber wieder auf den Hof gestellt, OHNE dass ein Servicemitarbeiter mir mitgeteilt hätte, dass man den Mangel NICHT repariert hat (man hat so getan, als wäre alles in Ordnung - keine Info nach der Wartung, nichts). Auf eine Beschwerde hin teilte man mir mit, das Navigationssystem sei nicht Bestandteil der Garantie (die Garantie ist offiziell 5 Jahre, mein Auto ist jetzt etwas über 2 Jahre alt). Ich habe die Aussage rechtlich nicht weiter geprüft, glaube es auch nicht, aber egal > das war der erste und letzte Genesis. Fazit: viel Marketing, tolle Bilder u. Versprechungen, wenn aber die Behebung eines Mangels eingefordert wird, passiert nichts. Fazit Schulnote 6

Worst service department in industry!

Great car but the absolute worst customer service. The Cary, NC location is the worst. They overcharged me and after multiple unreturned calls to the service manager AND general manager I filed a dispute with my credit card company and won. I would NEVER buy a car from these people. Worst service and attitude that is just unimaginable in this competitive business. My experience with Subaru was FAR superior and I paid half as much for the car.

This is my 3rd experience with Genesis…

This is my 3rd experience with Genesis downtown service, or perhaps non service is a better description. The previous 2 times they forgot to order parts and they have done so yet again. The first time was upon delivery of a brand new build which I had ordered with a tow hitch and wiring, which took about 1 month after delivery to arrive. The second time was for parts after the car was rear-ended while parked, and they held the body shop back by 2 months by forgetting to order the parts and then not letting the body shop know they had arrived. This final time a trim piece over the passenger side front wheel all popped off and they said it was under warranty as the clips were faulty when I brought the car in in August. I finally called them in January , but sadly, got no answer and no call back after leaving a message.

The car is pretty good, the service is the worst I have ever received! That comparison includes brand new Mercedes, Volvos, Lincolns, Fords, Volkswagons, Accras, Nissans, and even Suzukis over the last 40 years.

A fine car if you are willing to service it yourself and order parts from somewhere other than the Genesis Dealer.
