They absolutely ripped me off. They claim to Christian business, but I would say that their tactics are NOT Christian at all. The guy I talked with sold me some silver bars at roughly 238% markup. I asked about it and he said it was a premium product. I asked on Feb 6 2026 how much I could get for it at this time and it was actually less than cost when silver was at around 78.85 spot price. I am writing this at this time because I will never have anything to do with them. I had my purchase analyzed in Feb 2026 after my conversation with Genesis Gold and he calculated I was over charged for the gold by an avg premium over 34% and silver by an avg premium of 64%. One thing I can say is that if I knew back then what I know now, I would be a lot better off.

In early 2023, I rolled my 401(k) into a self-directed IRA to purchase gold and silver through Genesis Gold Group. I was nearing retirement and looking for protection, not speculation.

The company presented itself as Christian-based, which built trust. I was encouraged to purchase “private market” rare coins described as “your best option,” with strong upside potential and projections as high as 300% over a couple of years. I was told pricing required going to the dealer market and that they would “get the best price” for me. Premiums and percentage spreads above spot were never clearly explained.

Several weeks after the rollover, my custodian statement reflected a value more than 50% lower than the amount transferred. The average markup I paid was approximately 109%.

When I questioned this, I was told the lower value was simply what is reported to the IRS and that premiums recover. However, the statement reflected actual market value. The metals themselves had not collapsed in price—the difference was the embedded premiums.

As of this January, the premium gap has not recovered. Had I understood that my account could reflect a loss of this magnitude immediately after the rollover, I would not have moved forward.

Update: I finally received a return call, but sadly, the damage has been done. There is nothing that Genesis Gold Group can do to make things right. Sadly, their standard operations will compromise their client's information. You've been warned.

They have some very unprofessional employees that apparently do not care about a clients personal information. I have a serious and legitimate complaint, but they aren't interested enough to call me back.

I went into this interview process optimistic and well-prepared. I arrived early, in a brand-new suit, ready to share my skills and background. As a disabled veteran with brain cancer who has taught myself the stock market, I wanted to help people protect their investments. Initially, the team seemed impressed.

However, once I disclosed my disability and the need for reasonable accommodations, the tone shifted dramatically. By the next day, I was told I was “not what they were looking for” — despite never being asked real questions about my qualifications. I had to follow up myself, as they did not extend the courtesy of closing the loop.

I also asked about their lead generation process and how they operate, but my questions were brushed aside. For a company that promotes itself as a Christian organization, the lack of transparency, professionalism, and inclusivity was alarming.

If this is how they treat potential employees — dismissing qualified candidates once they disclose a disability — it raises serious concerns about their ethics as a business. If this is their standard internally, how do they treat their customers? My experience left me feeling discriminated against and questioning whether their practices align with the values they claim to uphold.

The company had decent reviews on better business bureau, the process is easy, the staff is friendly. Nothing to complaint about.

Although they made it very easy to understand how this entire thing works, but you will need to spend more time on your own to really learn all the ins and outs, and that is a bit of a learning curve. Be prepared but don’t get discouraged.

Diversification is always key in any investment, at my age, an option like this that reduce risks to almost none and still has a potential for growth is hard to find.
