Extremely frustrating experience

Extremely frustrating experience. I am currently owed a significant refund of £573.79 and, despite repeated requests, I have been unable to get any clear confirmation of when this will be returned.

I was told there was a cut-off point to ensure payment by today, which I met by a number of days, yet here I am still chasing with no proper response. I have now asked multiple times for confirmation and cannot get a straight answer from anyone.

Trying to speak to someone or get a clear update has been near impossible. Being owed a substantial amount of money and effectively ignored is completely unacceptable.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this company.

So dishonest

I've been buying oil from Geoff Boormans for 30 years with great service. But this is no longer Geoff Boormans, some ungodly conglomerate has taken over.

I ordered oil a week before the attack on Iran. 10 days later I rang to enquire the price. The fixed price from the week before got replaced with the new higher floating price for that day.

I cancelled the order and said goodbye forever. So dishonest.

They are such a good company

They are such a good company. Always polite and helpful on the telephone and their delivery drivers are very good too. Andy was our last delivery driver who was super. Would recommend this company

Worst customer services I’ve experienced

Really disappointed with terrible service - placed an order on the 17th of February and was assured it would be delivered on or before following Tuesday. No delivery and despite multiple calls explaining need for oil urgently due to new born, we had four different employees assure us they were looking into this and would call us back that day and they did not. I understand things happen and delays may be out of companies hands but this many team members promising customers of call backs and then not following through suggests incompetence at a company wide level. Do not use.

Long term customer

Pleased to say I ordered by phone as usual, despite recent negative feedback. The lady I spoke to was friendly and helpful, delivery was 10 days later, exactly as she quoted. I’ve used the company for maybe 15 years and never had any problems. Andy the delivery driver is a legend, never makes any fuss and most of the time I don’t even know he’s been. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Do not use this business

Do not use this business. They are fundamentally dishonest. If you place an order they treat it as an “ option”. It they don’t want to deliver they will not deliver even if they have confirmed the order and previously said they will deliver at a given date. The brake orders say they will deliver knowing they will just default on it if they want to.

Historically these guys have been very…

Historically these guys have been very good however they seem to be taking on more business than they can deal with at the moment. They missed their delivery date, then failed to deliver at the second promised time. We are now out of oil and they cannot give us a date when it will be delivered. Clearly not satisfactory.

Service has changed

I have been a customer prior to the recent transaction with NWF Fuels and am afraid there is no longer a good link between what the delightful customer service team promise and the delivery planners who I understand are based up North. I had to turn my oil heating and hot water off for 10 days to avoid my Aga draining the tank having come back from holiday and finding I needed an urgent delivery. 3 times over a 2 week period I was promised one 2 days later and it was only after 12 days like a Love Island contestant, I was able to shout at my wife “I got a text”! Very disappointed, particularly as I received significantly more competitive quote from a competitor.

Never thought I would have to write…

Never thought I would have to write this but I’m fuming … orderd oil stated I was low.. promised within a few days worst case week..
that’s gone by and ended up with empty tank I tried calling solid for 3 days after week throughout day literally no one picked up I’ve been using this company for over 20years +
when you can’t even get hold of you guys to say your now on empty and where is the delivery is disgusting… wish I had looked at the reviews to check as clearly the company has big problems since taken over .. you have now lost 2 houses you filled up over the years for me …let alone anyone else with same problem .. I’ve had to pay emergency call out with another company who has gone out of there way to help me…
Leaving customers with no oil ( letting tanks run empty is terrible )
With no word?no courtesy call? no pick up for emergency call… shame on you!

Absolutely terrible l had a direct…

Absolutely terrible l had a direct debit in credit for over £700 after 4 promises of a delivery they left me for a week without heating!!!

Broken promises

I live only 4 miles from Geoff Boorman’s depot and have been using them for the last 30 years without complaint. However that changed with my last order, given on 2nd January for agreed delivery on Friday 9th January. A call to them on Friday morning promised delivery that afternoon, a call on Saturday morning promised delivery by the end of the day and a desperate call to them on Monday promised a delivery on Tuesday morning. Oil finally arrived on Tuesday afternoon by which time tank very nearly empty. Apologetic and as always charming driver, but they have definitively lost something since being taken over by a larger Cheshire based firm.

reliable & efficient service

Wnt to Geoff Boorman after bad experience with Cerco. Boormans were very "can do". Efficient ordering process on phone - no longer wait - delivery last week by driver Andy was prompt & hassle free for us - we didn't even need to speak to him, he just did the delivery, left the paperwork & was on his way. We do a monthly direct debit, easily set up & regular statements keep us informed of our position. I would unreservedly recommend Geoff Boorman for your home heating oil - reliable & efficient

First class service.…

Have been using Boorman Fuels since 1998 and have always had a first class service from the office staff to the delivery drivers. I have been stupid enough to run out of oil a few times over the years but they have always helped me with a delivery. Yes, they have new owners but the service hasn’t changed. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service

Have been using Geoff Boorman for our oil delivery for years. They arrive on the day booked, deliver the amount we require, and then e-mail an invoice with different payment option. On 2 or 3 occasions during the winter we have run out of oil due to us not checking our oil level. We have given them a call and they have been able to prioritise a delivery to us, by managing to squeeze us into their busy schedule so we weren't freezing for too long. So, overall excellent service.

they’ve been acquired I’ve noticed…

they’ve been acquired I’ve noticed their prices creeping up. Looked on boiler juice and the price was about 55p, so I ordered with GB, got the invoice and it’s 64.98p!

I wasn’t expecting 55p of course but that’s ridiculous. Also they no longer offer a discount for early payment.

Got a quote today and for a 3 week lead time it’s 48p… FFS teach me not to shop around.

Over to Boiler Juice I go…

Having moved into Chelwood Gate just 1…

Having moved into Chelwood Gate just 1 month ago knowing the area did not have Gas and never having used oil before i wanted to make sure i would be able to understand how to order fuel and the best way to insure i could look after my tank and also how long a full tank might last, From my initial phone call asking questions to Stacey it was quite a simple procedure and she explained every thing i needed to know very clearly and what costs where involved which was Great. About a week Later i rang Geoff Boorman's again and spoke with Sophie this time, she was just as brilliant as Stacey and she took my order and explained when i would receive the oil and that i would be contacted the day before which was fantastic, A few days later the fuel arrived being delivered by peter the driver, When he arrived i offered and made him a cup of coffee and by the time i had gone out with the coffee he was done , Having a chat with him he gave me some very useful tips on how to look after my fuel tank and good reference points for checking i did not let it run to low, all in all i have dealt with a few companies recently and tradesman and if halve of them had given me the First Class service Geoff Boorman's have i would have given them a good review.
