I'm another person who has had payment taken after the court date and no reply to support messages.
Even after the court issues they are still taking payment from my card and no one is responding to emails.
Took payment one day before their court case and were shut down, now cost me thousands in developer costs to get a new system in place, and loss of sales due to our systems no longer working correctly. They knew for months they were being taken to court, and they knew they had stolen data! So, not even warning your paying clients of the upcoming situation is out of order.
I have now moved to a company called Postcoder, I recommend people in the same situation as us, these guys seem a good company to move to.
The service itself worked very well and I was happy with the address lookup quality and API performance.
Unfortunately, once my balance ran out, the service stopped working and I wasn’t able to resolve the issue. I contacted support multiple times by email but didn’t receive any response.
If support responsiveness during billing or service interruptions improves, this would easily be a 5-star service. The product is solid, but communication during issues needs attention.
Service on the whole has been ok in the past.
I came in this morning to learn they're no longer trading due a high court judgement, see first result in Google when searching for "getaddress.io high court judgement".
Their API and support are are not working out of the blue without an explanation their end.
UPDATE 16/03/2026 - trying to cancel this account for a few other clients. It's not easy. There's no way to canel the direct debit via their portal. The cancel subscription does not work (network tools states their OWN API returns a HTTP 400). This is definitly very suspect. At the moment I'm advising clients to cancel the direct debit with theor bank, there doesn;t appear to be any other method of cancelling at the moment.
great product with a great api, cost savings are excellent, customer service is excellent
Zero support when they publish incorrect details about your address.
I noticed recently that a few websites had incorrect address details for my property. I live in a rural area, and they have me listed as being part of a different block of houses to my own which has a separate roadway entrance. Consequently, some delivery firms go to the wrong place and cannot find my house and give up.
I emailed one of the companies who have the incorrect address, asking them where they got their data from, so that I could get it corrected.
They eventually told me that their data was sourced from getaddress.io. So, I emailed them to ask them to correct the data but got no reply.
They do have an 'add address' feature on their website, which I have tried to use to correct my address, but I have tried this multiple times over the past few month, and it has not corrected the issue.
There is only way to contact them which is via a support email address listed on their website, which, as I said did not respond.
According to a document on their website a few months ago, the company behind getAddress.io is Codeberry Ltd, so I looked them up at Companies House and sent them a "Signed for" letter requesting that the information be corrected. I did not get a reply, and they did not correct my address.
They seem me to be a 'bad' big data company - they aggregate data from a bunch of third parties and charge people for access to it, but do not seem to have the resources (or the will) to correct it when it is wrong.
Asking ChatGPT to tell you about Codeberry Ltd or getaddress.io yields interesting results.
====== Update based on reply posted by getaddress,io today 19-Nov-2025.
I am not 'demanding that you change your database' , I am simply asking that you correct an inaccuracy in it. One would hope that any responsible company which sells aggregated data would be only to happy to have any inaccuracy in that data pointed out to them, and would seek to correct it as soon as possible. Only yesterday, I had a courier trying to deliver 3 packages to the other address you have incorrectly listed as being connected to my own, and I had to explain to him how to find it by driving 150 yard up the road. Please can you just correct the inaccurate data you hold about my address ? If you don't want to fix it yourself, perhaps you could give me access to your github repo, and I will create a mechanism to fix it for you, and submit a pull request for your consideration.
===== Updated again on 19-Nov-2025 after another unhelpful reply from getaddress.io:
Why don't you just fix the inaccurate data you hold on my address ?
===== Update on 25-Nove-2025: Anybody interested in doing business with this company should google "IDDQD Limited v Codeberry Limited & Anor" - the judgement sums up how they conduct themselves.

IF YOU DO ONE THING TODAY - READ THIS REVIEW! THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO CONCEPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL.
For those of you who don't wish to read it all, I will skip to the good part.
I asked for support, they didn't give it, simply sent back a short sharp reply picking up on my use of incorrect terminology and saying there was nothing wrong their end. Didn't support me as a customer.
Based on the fact that the internet is littered with reviews saying how rubbish these guys are, I decided not to waste the rest of my life trying to get them to help me as I would expect and left a review detailing their support (or lack of) saying that I would look for another solution. I have never received any response to this until today some three months later I find that they've switched off my service and caused issues with my websites.
We contacted them only to be told that they didn't like our review and therefore had switched off our service (3 months after the event and with no prior notification or warning). "Your actions have consequences, and we have no obligation to keep you as a customer" !!! OMG! Have you ever come across this kind of treatment before? I haven't! (fortunately)!
At no point have they ever reached out to try and deal with the issues that I reported in the review, they have never contacted us, not once, to see how they can help to improve their customer support. I am not the only person who has made these comments so clearly they have an issue but their solution to that issue is just to cut you off and tell you that they have no obligation to provide you a service. The service itself is fine but the moment something goes wrong you will find yourself on your own. Such a shame.
MY REVIEW:
When the service is working, it is great but the moment you need help their customer support is rude, unhelpful and pretty much non-existent. I genuinely have never received such a rude response to a support ticket for any other service that I use. Very disappointing, and I will be looking for an alternative.
UPDATE 27-10-25:
Whilst they made no attempt to contact my business to understand our issues and assist us, upon uncovering problems with our website, we contacted their support and received the following response 🤯
Hello,
Your subscription has been closed and refunded.
We have reviewed our previous support email claiming to rude and unhelpful and do not agree with this assessment.
We find it unbelievable you would write a review like this about one of your suppliers and expect to continue a working relationship. I would suggest you look for an alterative.
Kind regards
I REST MY CASE!
I realise that your engineer did not call me names or shout abuse but, for context… My web developer was away on leave and we had an issue. I contacted your support to be told in short, "it's not an app it's an API you idiot" and furthermore there's nothing wrong with it.
That was all you said, no offer to try to help me get to the root of the issue that I was having using your service or anything. I was left completely without any level of support and I have never experienced this from another provider.
Clearly you think that responding to a customer query telling them that there is nothing wrong your end is sufficient - and that is your prerogative. We obviously have very different views on what professional customer service and support are.
Had you reached out at that time and helped me then maybe I would've adjusted my review but today, when I find that you have withdrawn your service without even having the courtesy to tell me, is the first time that anyone has bothered to speak to me about this. All you did was switched us off, do us even more damage and not bother to let us know. Personally, I don't think that's good customer support and I think that anyone using your service should know that that's what they can expect. Clearly given your response, you think that's acceptable. I'm sorry but I do not.

Works a treat and very cheap. It's an API so you need a fair bit of knowledge to make it work properly. We've used for the last 3 years.
Be warned, Getaddress.io has ZERO customer support. Rude, no help whatsoever and frankly a disgrace. We implemented their API to auto-complete customers' addresses. We had a config error which meant that Twig and React were sending requests on each keypress and reloading the results set each time, thereby giving the impression that we were spamming the API. So rather than take the time to support us in understanding where the error occurred, we simply had our account terminated accompanied by a couple of particularly rude emails.
There are plenty of alternative suppliers, so I highly recommend finding one of them and giving getAddress.io a very wide berth.
