Here is my experience using the Camelie…
Here is my experience using the Camelie razor. I watched TikToks for a long time and really wanted this razor, so I decided to splurge and buy it. Since I am in Europe, I had to pay a customs duty. In total, I spent €60, of which €45.09 was the cost of the razor itself.
Pros
For the first time in my life, a razor actually managed to shave the hair close enough that my legs felt smooth even when pressing on the skin.
Cons
Despite preparing my skin thoroughly before shaving and moisturizing it afterward, I still get strawberry legs and ingrown hairs.
The worst part is the scarring. The razor slips in your hands while in use, and it’s completely rigid, making it terrible for bony areas. Every single time I use it (even when going very slow and steady) I end up with cuts and scars. I’ve had terrible scars on my leg for three years now, and I won't be able to get rid of them! Some are less noticeable, while others are highly visible. In the underarm and bikini areas, red lines always appear after just a couple of hours. I spent so much money and tried changing my routine and technique every single time, but nothing helped!
The razor itself isn't durable either. I use it at most once a month (relying on other razors for my daily routine), yet the paint/coating around the screw-on mechanism is already chipped and worn off, even though I always washed it and wiped it completely dry.
I didn’t return it for two reasons: first, because I thought I was just using it wrong, and second, because returns from the Baltic states are very expensive and difficult to arrange.
This whole thing is just one big marketing gimmick. Be careful and think twice before buying. My friend bought the exact same type of razor for €15, including the stand, and the only difference I could find was the logo on the razor itself!
