Here is my experience using the Camelie…

Here is my experience using the Camelie razor. I watched TikToks for a long time and really wanted this razor, so I decided to splurge and buy it. Since I am in Europe, I had to pay a customs duty. In total, I spent €60, of which €45.09 was the cost of the razor itself.
Pros
For the first time in my life, a razor actually managed to shave the hair close enough that my legs felt smooth even when pressing on the skin.
Cons
Despite preparing my skin thoroughly before shaving and moisturizing it afterward, I still get strawberry legs and ingrown hairs.
The worst part is the scarring. The razor slips in your hands while in use, and it’s completely rigid, making it terrible for bony areas. Every single time I use it (even when going very slow and steady) I end up with cuts and scars. I’ve had terrible scars on my leg for three years now, and I won't be able to get rid of them! Some are less noticeable, while others are highly visible. In the underarm and bikini areas, red lines always appear after just a couple of hours. I spent so much money and tried changing my routine and technique every single time, but nothing helped!
The razor itself isn't durable either. I use it at most once a month (relying on other razors for my daily routine), yet the paint/coating around the screw-on mechanism is already chipped and worn off, even though I always washed it and wiped it completely dry.
I didn’t return it for two reasons: first, because I thought I was just using it wrong, and second, because returns from the Baltic states are very expensive and difficult to arrange.
This whole thing is just one big marketing gimmick. Be careful and think twice before buying. My friend bought the exact same type of razor for €15, including the stand, and the only difference I could find was the logo on the razor itself!

0 would be a better score

0 would be a better score. Scamming teenage girls with a raser that already exsist much cheaper. Like Someone wrote, free shipping what is a big lie. Custommer service does nothing.

You should be ashamed.

Company do not answer queries - customs charges

Buyer Beware – Unexpected Import Charges and Dismissive Customer Service

If you are based in Ireland or elsewhere outside New Zealand, I strongly recommend checking exactly where your order is being shipped from and whether you may be liable for additional customs charges, import VAT and carrier handling fees before purchasing from this company.

I placed an order with Camelie believing I was paying the full purchase price at checkout. After the order was dispatched, I was informed that I would need to pay additional import-related charges before I could receive my package.

My issue was not that customs charges can exist when importing goods. My issue was that I do not recall being clearly informed before purchase that I would face additional costs after checkout, and I wanted to understand where this had been disclosed.
I contacted customer service and repeatedly asked a very simple question: where, during the checkout process, was I clearly informed that I would be required to pay additional import VAT, customs charges and handling fees on arrival in Ireland?

Rather than answering that question, I received multiple emails repeating that Camelie is a New Zealand business and that customs charges are the responsibility of the importer. While that may be their policy, it was not what I was asking.

I repeatedly requested a screenshot of the checkout page, the exact wording shown before payment, and evidence of how these additional charges were disclosed to customers before the purchase was completed. Despite asking several times, this information was never provided.

What made the experience even more disappointing was the tone of the correspondence. After several polite emails seeking clarification, I received a response suggesting that I should "take the time to read" their previous emails and respond to what had "actually" been written. This was particularly frustrating because I had clearly acknowledged and addressed their position in every email. The problem was not that I had failed to read their responses; the problem was that they were not answering the question I was asking.

As a customer, I expect transparency about costs before I make a purchase and respectful communication when I seek clarification afterwards. Instead, I felt that my concerns were dismissed and that reasonable questions were met with repetitive and increasingly condescending responses.

My advice to potential customers is to carefully investigate any possible import charges before ordering and not assume that the price you see at checkout will necessarily be the final cost of receiving your item.
Based on my experience, both with the unexpected charges and the way my concerns were handled, I would not purchase from this company again. The other reviews also suggest their products are useless anyway so best to avoid and save yourself the hassle. Lesson learned-products heavily promoted on social media are often not what they purport to be.

Do not waste your money

Do not waste your money! Worst and most expensive razor I’ve ever purchased and it’s completely crap, blunt razor and didn’t do anything. Poor customer service too.
