Fatal

Increíble, 2026 y aún una plataforma de demora en hacer transacciones casi 5 días, mi empresa me pagó el 23 y llegó hasta el 28, cada vez que voy a enviar dinero sale que hay un error, la tarjeta para pedirla sumamente costosa y ni siquiera están integrados a Apple Pay… se demoran, tienen fallos siempre, descuentan bastante y su atención al cliente es aún más mediocre.

Increíblemente mala.

Worst experience ever!

The worst app I've ever seen... Literally, the worst one.

Remark: I have a minor defect on my device - the fingerprint sensor doesn't work. Yeap, it's annoying sometimes, but I think normal people don't even consider buying a new smartphone because of non-working fingerprint sensor, if all the rest functions work fine...

So, the situation is that I couldn't use the Ontop app at all - because all the transactions require a fingerprint confirmation.

Of course, I've contacted the support team and, during the next 2 weeks, 5 different support team members have shown a perfectly great "professionalism", advising the "solutions" of different levels of madness, starting from blaming a 3rd party in non-having an SMS verification options (yes, sometimes it happens with the electricity service providers, when you're paying the bills) - and advising to contact them.

When the Ontop support team finally realised, that the issue is on their side (and also noticing that, oh no, the reason why the transactions were unsuccessful was - that they either were cancelled by me or by the timeout... A top level of logical thinking... Sherlock Holmes is nervously smoking on the sidelines... Of course, the transactions were cancelled because I couldn't confirm them, because my fingerprint sensor doesn't work), they continued with the following "great" solutions:
* Update the Ontop app to the latest version.
* Update your phone’s operating system to the latest available version.
* Log out of the app and log back in.
* Fully uninstall the Ontop app and reinstall it from the official store.
* Restart your device before attempting the transaction again.
And, of course, they advised to disable the fingerprint setting in the app (which was disabled from the very beginning - because I even couldn't enable it, because, again, my fingerprint sensor doesn't work...).

At some point of time (during these 2 weeks) when I realised that the bills wouldn't be paid themselves, I've asked my friend to use his device to install the Ontop app, because he had a working fingerprint sensor.

After that, the support team contacted me again saying that (hip-hip-hurray!) they've noticed that my issue is solved (nope, unfortunately, providing a full access to my account to another person is not a solution) and after several more days of investigation, the tech team of Ontop finally responded that yes, the only way to confirm the transactions is the fingerprint (due to security reasons, of course). So, I cannot use the app at all due to security reasons - and the only way to solve this is either:
1) to buy a new device (which looks like too much money for the implicit transaction costs... But I don't mind if the Ontop team will buy a new device for me - because these implicit transaction costs is not my fault)
or
2) to provide a full access to another person with another device which has a working fingerprint sensor (top level of security, isn't it?)

But, we all understand that the security reasons are very important... That's why I recommend to everyone not to use the Ontop app at all. Be safe!

False “VPN detected” loop, zero support

I’m stuck in an endless loop with your questionnaire. Every single time I get flagged with the same “VPN/proxy” message.

To be crystal clear: I’m not using a VPN (and I don’t have one enabled), so I can’t “turn it off.” I’m on a normal network using a regular browser/device. The system provides no actionable details (what exactly is being detected, which check failed, how to fix it), and support hasn’t offered a real solution.

This is a complete waste of time and an extremely frustrating user experience.

No realizan los pagos a tiempo

No realizan los pagos a tiempo.
La empresa donde trabajó realizó los pagos a tiempo y ontop no ha gestionado los pagos de los trabajadores, hoy somos más de 30 personas afectadas por un error informático de ellos y que facilmente se puede resolver al transferir el dinero de la nomina y posteriormente descontar lo que haya que descontar. Son unos irresponsables, si tienes la oportunidad, dile a tu empresa que no use este servicio

Ontop is okay until you get problems…

Ontop is okay until you get problems that needs to be solved asap. Money transfers to bank accounts is a horrible experience when you have to deal with a such a terrible customer support that is rude and never solves the problem. Their customer service can only inform about how busy they are to review your case earlier than 5 business days. I would never recommend using this if you don’t want to have issues with your money transfers

Good service, horrible customer support


Ontop is great until you encounter a problem.

Ontop has its "happy path" working very well, but the moment you encounter a problem, specially with transfering money, their support team isn't able to help you, they only know how to blame the payment provider.

Is amazing how useful is this…

Is amazing how useful is this plataform. It has allowed me to receive the payments for my work remotely and in USD. Also, is really easy to use and the transactions are very fast, I receive my money in my Colombian account in less than 2 hours
