Fantastic customer service

The customer service I’ve received with this purchase is absolutely excellent. They informed me of an address discrepancy, which not all companies take the time to do. I live on the line between 2 areas and I regularly don’t receive packages because of address issues but I’m confident this will be received. I also mentioned the purchase is a birthday gift and they took the time to let me know the shipping timeframe in the event it wouldn’t make it in time. The diligence to ensure I was informed is rare, and very appreciated!

Customer service was outstanding

The customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure I got my order when it was shipped to the wrong address. However, I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the shirt. Feels like that kind of Cricut quality that will wear off in a few washes. I bought it for NYCC, so at least it will last the one day, but I don't have a lot of hope it will last long after that. I would gladly buy other merch from them.

Counterfit, Poorly Packaged, Missing Item

1. The person handling fulfillment caught part of a shirt in the shipping bag seal. The shirt was damaged/ripped because of trying to get it out of the seal.

2. The sweatshirt is missing.

3. It's not official merch. The web site and branding makes that misleading. Shipped from an individual. Payment also went to a different individual.

The statue of Calcifer I bought was…

The statue of Calcifer I bought was perfect and it looks great on the shelf I bought for my mother! She loves it! At first there were some issues for the shipping, but after emailing them, they reassured me about it that everything was taken care of and I'm glad to have the item I got for my mom! Product was true and real!

Wonderful shop with great Ghibli items and amazing customer service

I had a fantastic experience shopping at the Ghibli store! The products are good quality, beautifully designed. I am very satisfied with my Totoro figure as well as plushie (they all look as in pictures). Shipping was faster than expected, and everything arrived safely packaged. Customer service was also very responsive and helpful during the entire process (they reached out immediately after it was noted that one of the items was not available, they provided few solutions and resolved it very quickly). I’ll definitely be shopping here again and recommend it to fellow Ghibli fans!

Had trouble with the shipping process

Had trouble with the shipping process, like some of the reviews I’ve seen on here. But, Ghibli Support helped me throughout the ordeal. It took an extra week to finally get the product and when it arrived, my niece was happy and stoked about her new Totoro backpack and mini figurines. At the end of the day, things happen and mistakes are a forever learning experience in all aspects of life. It’s how the company reacts and deals with it. In this case, A+ and a satisfied customer. Thank you Ghibli Store and I’ll be returning soon.

Amazing Customer Service!!!

I ordered something from their store and when it was shipped and delivered to me, I never got the package. When I emailed them and told them what had happened and asked for a refund, they told me they would ship me the same order for free. The package came very fast and was exactly what I ordered. Their customer service did not fail to reach out in a very timely way, and made me feel heard.

Excellent customer service and communication. There was a delay with my delivery and they investigated quickly and resolved the problem for me. The item I ordered was super cute and exactly as pictured.

Ghibli Store -Terrible packing for shipping items

I ordered My Neighbor Totoro Night Lamp Decoration - Totoro and Mei from Ghibli store. It was fragile and should have been completely contained in bubble wrap sufficient to protect it during mailing and delivery. The item came with a tiny piece of bubble wrap, 2 - 2 inch squares of styrofoam and in a thin cardboard box. The lamp was loose in the box so of course the edges and lamp broke. No refund, no apology, no nothing.

Update: after I wrote them saying is have to leave an unfavorable review, they responded that they would provide a refund, which they did quite quickly. Upgraded to three stars as other products arrived just fine.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I ordered an air pod case. It was shipped with a company named CAINIAO. There was a delay in delivery due to a hurricane; understandable. It has been weeks since then and now my package is lost in limbo. Dealing with both these companies is an absolute nightmare. Over a month later still no package & no one can physically find it. I wanted Ghibli to either refund me or send another package with a different company. I was told to wait longer. Well I'm done waiting. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company while I still can. They take FOREVER responding and the only way to reach them is email. Ghibli : if you read this the Order number is 5356398. At this point I just want a refund & to never deal with you again.

Update : They refunded me a couple hours after I posted this. Moved up to two stars.

Update #2 : The package was eventually delivered. Ghibli reached out & asked for either repayment or item returned. Opted to go with repayment as other reviews state that return shipping is ridiculous. Removed the "SCAM!!!!" part of original review.

Good experience

Ordered a Totoro golf cover and it’s so soft and cute!! Sits a little weird but other than that I don’t have any complaints. Placed my order on Oct. 15 and received it today (Oct. 25). I was a little sketched at first because I wasn’t used to the payment method but after I received the details on my shipment I didn’t have to worry about it anymore.

I wish I read reviews of the Ghibli Store before I placed two orders, and I would not have ordered from this website. They do not honor the money-back guarantee policy as stated on their website:

We are here to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase! If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact support and we will take it back!

Ghibli Store Is All About The Service!"

BEWARE: They ship from a California address, and if you request a return, they give you an address in China to return it AT YOUR OWN COST. That is not a money-back guarantee policy.

UPDATE: as you can see from the company’s reply, they are not honoring the money-back guarantee. They are not paying for the return shipping.

UPDATE #2: Again, I will quote the return policy:

“ We are here to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase! If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact support and we will take it back!”

I am not satisfied with the quality of the product. It does not look like Totoro. I won’t quibble with the store about whether or not it is a defect. I am not satisfied with the product. One more time: I am not satisfied with the product.

Thank you for your review. After our conversation through emails, we believe that you can totally understand that your package was shipped overseas, as we explain, the CA address is the local post address, not where we shipped from.

To honor our money back guarantee policy, we already supported your request by offering to take our item back even though the item you received is correct and in perfect condition. In fact, Our customer does not usually request a return in cases like this.
Please arrange to return the item back to us as soon as possible so we can support your request.

Update: Alot of our customers were supported by money back guarantee in cases the items have defective, we always provided return shipping labels. In case the item doesn't have any defects, we have noted very clearly in our return policy that you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs to return your item.

Counterfeit product

I recently purchased a floor mat from ghibli.store. Their website advertised the item as the official Ghibli product, but the actual product was a cheap counterfeit mat, presumably from China based on the tag. I feel deceived and sad :( Wanted to share so that others don't fall for the same scam.

Update: After seeing this review, the store issued a refund and asked me to update my review. I increased my rating. Based on other reviews, it's unclear whether the store will honor refund requests if the customer doesn't go through the trouble of posting a public review.

The store should not have deceived customers by advertising the official product and shipping a counterfeit fake item in the first place. Shipping took 1 month from order date to arrival. It was very time-consuming to justify my refund request to the store. And I still don't have a floor mat after 1 month.

We sincerely apologize for this event and we admit that the product you got was part of a batch that did not fulfill quality requirements. We sent this cargo back to the manufacturer and resumed our discussions with them regarding these concerns.
According to our timezone, we received your order on January 30, 2024; it was shipped on February 4th; and it was delivered on February 14th. It took about 15 days to reach you, including processing days, which is within our expected timeframe - 12 to 25 days.
Regarding the resolve complaint timing, please understand that we don't just resolve your complaint after seeing your review.
After we received your complaint email on February 29th, we immediately worked with relevant departments to resolve your case, it usually takes about 1 to 3 days. Your order was refunded on March 1st, which took just over 1 day. While we were receiving the information and processing it, we received your review, which is unfortunate.
We're sorry if this process has caused you to wait so long.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and not to give you the best assistance.

Don't ever order with them

Don't ever order with them. The package was lost during transit but marked as delivered, I contacted them to inform them of this to see if they offer to either reship or refund, they did neither. I filed a dispute with my credit card and they won the dispute since they supplied the tracking that was marked as delivered BUT IT NEVER GOT DELIVERED

Excellent customer service and pleasant experience

Timely delivery and goods cute and in excellent order. Especially good since the company responded to my request for a size change (which I requested on the "contact" part of the website). Wow, that was great -- who expects a prompt response and to have the problem fixed -- wow. Thank you Ghibli Store.
